The ps1 version is the most popular but also the worst looking one graphics wise. N64 looked sharper and the characters actually had shadows under them but because of cart space limitations they couldn’t use video cut scenes. They very smartly used still images of different sizes and boarders and made them look like a real comic book with the voice lines reading the word bubbles (really awesome idea actually)

The PS1 games really do lay the foundation for every good Spudey game since. For the first 3D Spidey game, it really was a gem in its time, and its sequel did pretty much everything except the villain roster better than the original. One of the reasons I love the PS4 game so much is because they took direct inspiration from the PS1 games for how they handled their unlockable costumes and interchangable bonus suit powers. The only ither indpiration I wish they took was simply adding new costumes onto every costume frim the original game like Enter Electro did, and I wish they had unlockable comic covers with issue info and summaries spanning all of Spidey's comic book history up to the point of their release. The second game that came out toward the end of 2001 even included the 9-11 issue that came out mere months before the game's release.
I remember the day my dad bought me Spiderman for the PS1 from Walmart like 20 years ago. From that day Spider-Man and Venom became my favorite 2 Marvel characters of all time and still are to this day

What would be cool (I think) would be if a company made a Venom figure from the Spider-Man (2000) video game. It'd be hard to imitate the 3D modeling, but it'd be awesome if they managed to do so. If they make one, it should be big, posable, and fun; it should have electronics (like a talking feature and a glow feature for the teleportation ability), a spring-loaded waist swivel for punching, include some accessories (like some strings of web, some oozing effects, and the symbiote trap he forms out of his hands). Speaking of which, I love Venom's portrayal in the Spider-Man (2000) video game; he is so hilarious and awesome at the same time.
It is 100% authentic. I played this back when I was a kid. I can still quote every line. Venom - "I smell a Baaaad Symbiote, and it ain't me!" Carnage- "Bring it on, Grandpa!" They start fighting. Spider-man - "Alone at last!" Doc Ock - "Let us end this, Spider-man."
