i work at sephora in the mall and happened to be on my lunch at the food court when i heard the shots. i saw people running and knew it was a shooter and bolted out the nearest exit stairwell. thank god im okay, im so sad people had to endure this today. makes me so angry and sad for those who were hurt.

You fail to understand that when people make the decision to shoot up a mall they don't care that others are armed. They have made the decision to die. Remember, just because the news doesn't report an event....doesn't mean an event didn't happen. The news only reports a fraction of the crime in Ada County. The criminals don’t follow laws what makes you think they’re going to work on them stop making it stricter for good people to own firearms. I live in a town where many people conceal carry and shoot every weekend. We had a bomb threat one year, and civilians even called the station to see if the sheriff’s office needed a few more armed men to be deputized (it’s a close community) I see guns in trucks all the time, and I hear people shooting up at the range every other day. I see gentlemen having a conversation in a parking lot, and I’ll see one of them open carrying. Yet we’ve only had two murders in the past decade, both with knives.

Granted, shootings in the Boise Mall are extremely rare, but shootings and stabbings happen all the time in Ada County. Remember, just because the news doesn't report an event....doesn't mean an event didn't happen. The news only reports a fraction of the crime in Ada County. One should never base their entire concept of reality on what he/she hears on the news or social media, violence has no boundary or border. Be safe and be vigilant Idaho!
People shouldn’t go towards gun laws and making them stricter it does nothing. The criminals don’t follow laws what makes you think they’re going to work on them stop making it stricter for good people to own firearms. If someone had a concealed carry they could have saved those two humans who lost their life over nothing and those who got injured would have been fine.

Where I live we have many guns. I live in a town where many people conceal carry and shoot every weekend.
We had a bomb threat one year, and civilians even called the station to see if the sheriff’s office needed a few more armed men to be deputized (it’s a close community)
I see guns in trucks all the time, and I hear people shooting up at the range every other day.
I see gentlemen having a conversation in a parking lot, and I’ll see one of them open carrying.
Yet we’ve only had two murders in the past decade, both with knives.
