Exactly. I learned this lesson the hard way about 15 years ago with a local bank. 2 personal, savings, money market, small biz checking. All under one roof. One large business debit card transaction triggered a fraud alert on a Sunday night while I was traveling out of town and boom. EVERYTHING was frozen. An absolute nightmare. That will never happen again

hello there, I got in when they asked people who already had accounts with them to ask a family member which was my son he's never been in the military
I got it thru a member/friend and my son is military, my account is legit though because I’m building a real relationship with them using direct deposit from my job 👍
Keep on freezing them NFCU! Scammers should not be members!

They have found out that people have been selling their access number and rightfully so they should shut these accounts down.

My husband is a vet and we love navy. My best friend found a person to give her an access code. She knew she wasn't ger ir from me. I dont play we bae. It kind of annoyed me because people never do things right and it hurts others. Just join another credit union.

a friend shared her Navy federal account # , so i could join. i have an uncle who was a Marine , and a grandfather that was in WW 2 . is that enough for me to become a member?
If you apply over the phone, you will be fine.
You can try to call and say your grandfather was in but I wouldn’t use that code for anything but a referral
