    Loved this story. The lack of any major dramas was a good change too, not that I don't appreciate some good drama, lol. I like how it was explained how things happened before this story line got picked up. I did feel bad about Mr. Bennet & Lydia though. I'm off to see if I missed any more stories or I'll re-listen to others until more new stories come along.

      Thanks so much! I'm glad you loved the story! It’s my first book baby and holds a special place in my heart. The next story in the series is What He Would Not Do and then there’s Lady Harriette (which you recently discovered.) Happy listening!

      I feel you! Darcy could be so infuriating at times - hence the title. But that's what makes the story so addictive. Thanks for watching. By the way, he's much improved in the story's continuation: ruclips.net/video/5KE5RGHrYZs/видео.html

    Soooo many places in this variation were verbatim from the original P&P by Jane Austen, which was rather nice, I suppose.
    I do mightily, greatly struggle bearing with the narration of Ms Hewitt. I often think I just cannot listen to her rendition for even one more precious moment, and want to cut and run for good, yet I need my JA variations and there are only a finite number of them on youtube.

      Interesting! I'm glad you kept listening. Thanks so much. This is one of my favorites. Needless to say, Pearl Hewitt is a favorite too. I feel blessed to have collaborated on so many audiobooks with her through the years and I look forward to more. As my quest to produce and share even more audiobooks here on RUclips grows, I am beginning to work with other narrators who are popular in this genre. Two are currently in the works. I hope you'll love them!

      @@PODIXONAUDIOBOOKS I read through all the other comments before I wrote mine and my take on the matter was very much in the minority; I believe I am the lone voice who doesn't enjoy her narration that much and for that I am so sorry! I really don't like being critical, and I ought to've tempered it with at least five compliments per any one complaint. Your reply to me is kind and gracious and I thank you. I absolutely do look forward to hearing your great variations in future with an expanded repertoire of collaborators and the thought of that soothes my soul.

    I admit, I saw the Jane Eyre tag and got real nervous around the 5:05:00 mark. A lot can happen in 1 1/2 hours of audiobook.

    not a Pride and Prejudice type. 😞

    Goodness! Not liking the beginning especially the description of Darcy (and his cousin) in a very immoral way. A man with no honor! I like to look up to the main characters-not feeling sickened by their lack of honor... Gonna give it a very few more minutes.

    Do you ever release things chapter by chapter as a subscription? It would be easier to go away (as we all must) and come back if it wasn’t a giant 6 hour long thing.

    • @PODIXONAUDIOBOOKS
      @PODIXONAUDIOBOOKS  Год назад +4

      I understand your concern. A chapter-by-chapter subscription model sounds intriguing. It's possibly a feature I can add to my subscription-based Patreon page. For now, I plan to add chapter timestamps to my audiobook videos to help listeners keep track of where they left off in an audiobook. Thanks so much!

      Whenever I come back to it it’s right where I last left it. Why punish others with only one chapter at a time. Use your history.
