Lyrics:
I was born in a cemetery
And learned to walk on skulls and bones
Was taught to speak by the living dead
And raised beneath a funereal moon.
Horror stories, talking heads
Segregate the living dead.
I’m a shadow on your brightest dreams
A horse for Baron Samedi
Pure voodoo economic hell
I’ve come to pick your carcass clean.
Horror stories, talking heads
Segregate the living dead
Horror stories, talking heads
Shilling for the thoroughbreds
Racial strife and rising debts
Segregate the living dead.
I’m the resurrection man, a jackal in a three-piece suit
Death and taxes for the damned, brought to heel beneath my boot
So chase that carrot straight to hell, the status that you’re dying for
And decorate your coffin well
The system is a graveyard.
I’m Loki in the counting room
Trickle down narcotic doom
Superfunds for cancer towns
The bottom line is six feet down.
I’m gonna bury you in barren ground.

did he just blegh at me
Petition for them to tour with Architects next year.
Well that was a pretty fucking bad ass song 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
That fucker Man. He DARES to blegh at us. Fucking great song
I fucking loved it. He can blegh at me all day
Bleh!!!! 🤪
Ya gotta give it to Randy. Twenty years in he's still got killer vocals.
Not only are they still killer, I'd say they sound better than ever.
He don't even have to try.. comes natural to the guy.
He has been blessing the masses since the mid 90s
A little more than 20 years lol..
He's 49 and still shrieking like a demon😈
This breakdown is the new “domination”
It’s heavier
Fair enough 👌
I wouldnt go that far
Lamb of God is an addiction that MUST be fed. 😁🤘 The breakdown is brutal and I love it.
We all just gonna casually act like this isn't one of the best Lamb of God songs ever? These lyrics are insane.
This song is phenomenal, the meaning behind the lyrics just makes it that much more hardcore. If you don't know what I'm talking about he talks about his inspiration for this song somewhere. It's about "trickle Economics" and how they ruin an entire group of people.
This is my new favorite. Excellent lyrics and musically is perfect
No one is acting like that
@@LONEWOLF-1970 The lyrics are concise and correct , you just don't like it because you simp for a class of parasites called capitalists.
They often write lyrics speaking generally about the absolute bullshit government(s) are responsible for, and crimes against their own citizens and world events in general. Historically speaking (worldwide), governments have been responsible for more deaths than those who've died in all wars combined.
Let that sink in.
Randy's very, very smart and well read.
Not to seem like I'm bragging, but I was lucky to be born with good genetics, my grandfather graduated valedictorian of his HS class in 1927, went to Bucknell, a "little Ivy" league University on a full academic scholarship in 1927, but had to drop out in 1929 due to the Depression so he could help his siblings on the family farm.
I'm lucky to have inherited some of his smarts and I still have to look some things up & some words Randy uses. I've read thousands of books myself. 😄 Kudos to LoG for sounding so excellent all these years. 🤘🏼
BTW, sources say they're going to do one more album after Omens and then retire.
So if you haven't seen them yet, *DO IT* Get your tickets and go while you still can.
I *PROMISE* you will be glad you did. They're amazing live.
My man Randy Blythe just dropped his first ever BLEAGH and the heaviest REEEEE in history in the same song. I love it

Atleast this one is a real banger

New Colossal Hate would be my second favourtite on the album, the rest just don't really do much for me tbh.
True shit
That breakdown sent me to another dimension...
it had such a Slayer feel to it but in an awesome way, you can see how Slayer rubbed off on them during the tour...this song is the passing of the torch
We just gonna set it up on the shelf with the live version of domination

There are hooks. Love it.
"finger gymnastics" haha that's the first time I've heard that. I agree! This song is badass.
Exactly!
This song just BLEH me away
This song has it all, really. This is such a perfect example of modern metal and what makes it so good. Starting off the song with the perfect **BLECH** is just *chefs kiss*
Lamb of God are so good that I feel like their music is like social service for the metal genre.
As a social worker, I absolutely agree with this!! 🤘

I don't know if there's anyone who can say "bones" better than Randy Blythe.
Dude you are so right, there's a few words that to this day I say in my head exactly how randy says it lol
The exact reason he’s featured in a song called Skulls and Bones with Overkill
Or "Empire" actually he says most words better than everyone 😂

This song is just evil and I want more of it.
The older I get I realize that evil is weak, spoiled, undisciplined, cowardness, that is, blind and ignorant. This is more powerful than EVIL, this is WRATH! That's what happens when evil has fucked with the good for too long and it's scorched earth mother fucker.
I can't see where this song is "evil". It's obviously a song about predatory capitalism. The topic is evil, the song itself is an ascertainment.
Hands down. One of the best LOG tracks they have ever made. Love.
Same thing I was thinking. I keep playing it over and over again
0:22 has been my notification sound since this got released
My 2 year old loves this song. She always ask to listen to Resurrection Man when she gets in my truck. She hit me with a BLEGH!! Out of nowhere the other day. It sounded so good that I thought Randy was in my truck. I was a pretty proud metal dad. Lol
Hell yeah, I raised my son on great music. By age 2 he would tell me, Mom put Tom Petty on 😂 We worked our way into metal. Took him to his first show for an early 14th birthday present which he said was the best present ever.
He's 30 and we still go headbanging 💯🤘 We're seeing LoG for the 4th year in a row in August.
When Randy screams "SIX FEET DOWN" chills ran all over my body!
BAD ASS ALBUM, start to finish!

One of their best songs ever tbh. And that BLEGH tho!
To me this is the best track on this album and one of their all time’s!
This song definitely has the most badass intro lyrics ever.
Wow. This album is unreal. Great job guys. I've been a fan since 11th Hour was released. You guys just keep delivering
My favorite album from them so far .

Doubt they'd be proud. No solos
@@agsid209 Song doesn't need solo's. Just like Pantera - Slaughtered for example
aaron g Crowbar has no solos. So what? Pantera is long fucking gone. Overrated glam metal that added in a New York hardcore influence.

This song is so crushingly hard. Added to my pantheon of great metal songs.
This song is so fucking amazing, those guitar riffs are insane.
Best album in a while. Holy shit. That song is badass. Arty kills it. He’s top knotch. Seen him with prong and then a year later with lamb. He’s a younger gene Hoglan. Talented guy. Songwriting is really superb on this album. 👍
The depth of this song is astonishing (lyrically & musically).
Literally everything after 3:20 is absolutely epic! Nice groovy LOG riff, and that breakdown fucking rules!
Thats the old comfy shoe Slayer feeling. So great!!!!!
Randy has such a unique voice. Lamb of God is the best ever!
It's not just about the riffs with Lamb of God (and metal in general), it's about the meaning in their lyrics. This cannot be more true in the current age; very well and somehow subtly put together message.
Yes. This! Their lyrics describe the mess this world is so well.
They are so heavy it shouldn't be legal .
After Bon Scott died 43 years ago I thought I'd never hear a vocalist who inspired me like that
LOG sounds like giants stomping the shit out of a world turned mad
Randy's vocals set an unachievable bar so fucking high it cannot ever be reached by another
He is the embodiment of what Metal stands for ... none before
None after ..
He alone
His lyrics and pronunciation are magnetic and harrowing
Genius and madness wrapped up into a phenomenal legend that only gets better with each blegh he belches from his guts .
Well said. Out of all the bands I LOVE, Lamb Of God is an addiction I MUST feed. It's insane how much metal keeps me sane in a crazy world.

manpildo true, I wish he did more highs, anyway the album is quite good, I had very very high expectations and they have surpassed them

This one is more death metal to me and I love it. Thank you LOG for putting out kick ass music. It's nice to know metal is alive and well in a time when popular music on the radio sucks.
This is best of Randy's lows and screams. I love this.
This song makes me wanna purge the demons of this modern world
This is a breath of fresh air aint it lads. Lets go
The chugs from 4:13 would not have been so good if it wasn't for the superior guitar tone that Mark and Willie achieved on this record. My new tone goal right here!

@@paulninoaguinaldo3311 no connection there but okay
Best song on the album. The overall structure and tempo of the song Actually reminds me of Omertà off AOTW.
Immediately became my more favorite song that I've heard so far on this album. I love fast paced complex riffs and drums, but, slower, heavier, simpler riffs are also badass and are a good change of pace. Probably why it stood out more at this point in the listening experience. Plus, I just love heavier, darker stuff like this a little more to begin with lol.
LAMB of GOD. My son is 3yo and he fucking goes insane when he hears this song. He will be at one of your concerts soon!!!
His lows are just so....👌
With metal I usually don't allow lyrics to Stick too much in my head as I see them as just another instrument but it's always nice to See a lyric video the first time you hear a song because then some of the words actually stick
I about crashed my car listening to this. Brings me back to when I first heard them 10+ years ago. Still killer American heavy metal. The music of the people. Don’t ever stop!

As a 25-year-old in these times, this resonates with me on a very, very strong frequency. We grew up during such prosperous times, just to see the world fall apart in front of us. Day by day. Year by year. Worse, and worse. It's very disappointing that we will likely never live to see the future that we've all imagined for ourselves as a result of our ambition and aspiration for advancement and progress.
The world isn't ending. Humanity is. Mother Earth is convulsing in anticipation of the purging of our infection from her body. She was here long before we were, and will be here long after we're gone.
She always wins.
Loved that shift to 3/4 at the end. Made me want to punch my cat for no reason.
