If you can't find a setting in the bios, there is a search function at the top on the right side of the bios from the start/Easy page.. It is a great feature and comes in handy when looking for a particular setting.
Hey I just got this mobo however for some reason my PCi 5 fast slot is not posting on all my GPU I even update the bios, i tried installing rtx 4070 galax, it is not the gpu as it boots up on my slower lower pci 4 slot, is it a setting in the bios for m2 nvme ssd? I have a samsung 990 should work please help out here do i need to enable raid ?
I tried to install on z790 aorus pro wi fi 7 a 14900k and without updating the BIOS it already gave problems it would not boot and would not even download the operating system. when I updated the bios it downloaded windows 10pro and 11 pro did not. and as soon as I click restart, it does not restart and the black screen remains.
I connected the m2 port near the processor(m2a), but it does not detect it. You have it in the m2p port, have you tried inserting the hdd drive into the m2a port? I red also on reddit that some people connecting to another port than near cpu like You did. Is this m2a broken or something on this motherbords?
What a great video, however it did not solve my query. I recently bought the Gigabyte X670 Gaming X AX v2 and I cannot for the life of me find any video on enabling the built-in wi-fi. I attached the 2 antenna to the back of the mobo but that's it. I'm using a BT dongle but I have to keep changing usb slots otherwise it shows up in settings as 'bt dongle disconnected' and when I try to connect my wireless headphones, the setting just reads "cannot connect" and tells me to go fish. In my device manager I have with that yellow/orange caution on it. I've downloaded the drivers from Gigabyte website but they do nada. When I do a check with Windows, it also tells me to go fish, something about cannot resolve the problem. I will have to check again, sorry, but I'm doing a chkdsk on an hdd so I don't want to disturb that. With what I've written, I'm hoping that it's as easy as going into the bios and enabling a wifi button. That would be nice, easy-peasy. If anyone has any answers, I'm like Dr. Frasier Crane "I'm listening". Thanks if I get this resolved.
How do you disable PerfDrive? Because i don't see any option for it and it overrides any manual tweaks i try to do in the BIOS. Everytime i restart the PC, it defaults to one or those PerfDrive options instead of sticking to my manual tweaks and as a consequence i have to do manual tweaks from another software in windows every single time. wtf PS: i'm talking about a z790 board.
hi friend. Right now I have doubts regarding a pc that I am assembling in pieces, I am still on it and the processor I have chosen is an I7-147000kf + 4070 Ti Super + 32 Gb ddr5 + WD Black SN770 2TB SSD Disk 5150MB / S NVMe PCIe 4.0 M. 2 Gen4, I am missing the box that I have located, the source that will surely be an 850w Bronze and I am missing the motherboard, this is where I am having quite a bit of doubt. Taking into account the prices I can get, do you advise me for that configuration? MSI MPG Z790 Edge TI MAX WiFi (253 €) or Gigabyte Z790 AORUS Elite X WIFI7 Motherboard (252 €) or MSI Z790 GAMING PLUS WIFI (200 €), which one would you recommend? Or do you have a better option for those prices? Greetings.
The XMP booster - Micron, Hynix, Samsung. I'm not knowledgeable about RAM sticks, so what if one has G.Skill, Corsair, etc.? Are all the 'other' brands made by the three mentioned earlier in the list? I'm doing a new build (this mobo's on the list of stuff) and planning on using 32G G.Skill 8000. What would the best setting for that be? Just XMP 1 or...? Any assistance is appreciated!
This is my 2nd Gigabyte build, and for whatever reason this has gone horrribly. I'm using the Z790 Aorus Pro X, and I've got two M.2 drives installed (and an SATA SSD), that are recognized in the Peripherals section, but won't show in the Boot options to select them for the boot sequence. I've completed the build, and trying to get Windows 11 loaded, and stuck at trying to get the boot sequence. Very odd, and I'm not sure what to do at this point
@ No worries, it’s been so long that I don’t remember exactly. I know I had to do a clean reinstall, and upgrade the bios. For some reason I think it also had to do with the location of the drives on the motherboard. I’m so sorry, bud…I just don’t remember all the details, at this point.
I have z790 ae ddr4 and there is no a lot of options and a couldn't change BCLK as well. My BCLK=99.75mhz , and for example i have 4980mhz instead 5000mhz (CPU/ram). Gigabyte downgrade z790/b760/b660 and etc for Russian? Maybe i can activate debug mode for hidden options or where can i download full bios except official website? Thx a lot.
Really helpfull thanks. Anyway. On the Z790 Gaming X if you are in a submenu, by pressing ESC, you can return to the previous menu. Same on Bios version F7 and F11b
isn't there a way to disable/enable wifi on these bios? I remember disabling wifi in the bios on my x670 Elite AX when i got it then updated the bios and now i can't find the setting in the bios to re-enable it. a real head scratcher. And in the OS when i type ip link set dev wlp15s0 up i get "Operation not possible due to RF-kill"
@@rong.5004 Thanks. I did a search but didnt find it. I was able to force it on from linux with the rfkill command...very strange that it was there with the version of the BIOS that board was shipped with but then gone after I upgraded the bios to the latest version.
does the Z790 Aorus Elite X wifi7 Rev.1.0 need a bios update when purchased to support an i7-14700K CPU? What version is the bios that is currently shipped with this board?
A video on bios, but all he does is speak about the obvious. Did not or could not even explain all the settings in easy mode. Complained that the mouse movement was to slow, he didn`t even notice the setting in the boot tab that allows to increase mouse speed from 1 to 4 (4 being the fastest setting) his setting was on 1 (the slowest setting). If you do a video on a specific topic, make sure you know more about it than your average joe blow !!!
Hello I have a problem the quality on the bios is so bad I don’t understand why I have the same bios u use but why mine is to bad! The photos on your bios looks great! Mine is bad why?
@_Mehiko_3249 Had ERP disabled by default. Everything is at default and tried F4 and F5 bios, still nothing - got all the windows settings enabled including “Wake on Magic Packet from S5” and still nothing. I can WOL from sleep but not from a shutdown. I can see my Ethernet Port blinking orange but seems to not want to work :(. Edit: turned out it’s a windows setting screwing this up: fast startup that needed to be disabled.
Yes, you can turn off the LED logo on an Aorus computer by disabling the Power LED Support in the BIOS settings: Enter the BIOS settings Select the Chipset tab Set Power LED Support to Disabled
Thanks for the review.
In Advanced mode, under Boot tab, you can increase mouse cursor speed.
Thank God.

Yes, on boot led turn it to off, and maybe you'll need to turn it to disabled on the gigabyte led utility in windows.
If I have two 16GB sticks do I pick 16GB or 32GB in the XMP booster list?
That option stands only for the memory Chip. 16G does not mean it is 16gb. Check your memory manufactors to see what fits best
