Good question! Locks close the 15th of Jan, or the last ship traffic. After that unless the shipping is only on Lake Superior, that will be the end. ( a lot of the ore goes from Duluth to the "Soo" this side of the locks.)
When you were filming the Canal video, I thought, "Don't drop your $1000 phone! Of course he wouldn't. It's a $3,000 camera!" It's all terrific video, Paul!
It's very odd. Clearly Russian flag colors, even in proper order. I wonder why Paul? Tuvalu registration and Canadian owned though right? What was it hauling? Wheat? Oats? Miss going to Duluth and Canada all the time on trips. My 2nd home. Hello from CR IA. I used to hang out there North of Engineers building and Lift Bridge and seen hundreds of ships first hand go in and out for 30 years. Don't remember this one oddly, but it clearly is a lake freighter. After standing out you will have to warm up with coffee! Good day sir!
Love the sound of the cracking ice. Beautiful presentation.
Nice horn and salute. Hearing the ice creak and crack was neat along with the radio chatter. Thanks Paul
Thanks, I enjoyed putting it together.
I love hearing the radio chat, thanks so much for your great filming 🙏
Thank you! great to hear.
Wonder how much longer the ships will be on the lake!?? For time being, we sure enjoy them!!😊😊😊

@@dianebeier8379 probably for a long time. Lakes were formed to host ships! At least that's my take.
Fantastic enjoyed it
Awesome! I thank you!
I agree--great horn!
Thanks!
Really nice video. The horn is nice and deep. Can't imagine how cold that water is..... Brrrr.
Very! Thanks!
Fantastic sky!!
Thanks!
thank you for the video. Sad to think the winter stoppage is to be here soon.
Indeed, all good things must come to and end....
It was just a cold winter morning. Brrrrrr.
Indeed it was!
almost a fish eye view!
Almost!

LOL, no phones used in the video, DGI Action Cams, and a nikon for Pix. I have lost a video camera to theft and the lake.
