Everyone should build at least one kit in their lifetime; it gives you a better understanding of how an RC goes together and how everything works. Btw, if you're using a power driver, make sure you finish snugging up the screws by hand, to avoid stripping out the plastic. And when assembling the o-rings in the body of the shocks, use a little grease (like Associated Green Slime) to help seal them against leaks. Speaking of which, I love the o-rings installed in the shock caps as the caps were the real culprits when the older stock shocks leaked 👍 As for ride height, softer springs should do the trick but in the interim, fuel tubing or a pen spring under the piston should effectively lower ride height. A really good kit from Axial and a welcome addition to the lineup. Kits give you the flexibility to choose your shock fluids, set up the truck and choose the electronics YOU want! Way to go Axial 👍👍
Obviously Mr exocaged has built many kits but for new folks I highly advise seating tiny eclips with the whole work piece in a gallon Ziploc. Those things love to jump to light speed with zero warning! 😆
To keep cost down I done a pen modification and got the shocks to 90mm on front and angled the rears to lower it. Yet to know how it does but that’s the way I lowered the truck. Another great axial build kit and a fan of the straight axles. Another great video 👍
Excellent video, I saw it completely and it helped me a lot, especially to understand my basecamp better. One question, how much silicone Wt does the basecamp have? My shock absorbers have silicone leaks, is there any way to fix it?
Hi, I need your help please. Can you tell me if your 56t spur has play in the box ? Mine has a bit more than 1mm play...talking about sliding. Btw. mine is the Basecamp anniversary edition. Love your vids...thank you 👍
Was thinking what the when I seen the axel part . Said the none of version out loud and the wife was like what's wrong and showed her she said there ment to have portals aren't thay 😂
Well, this opens the door for another kit with portals, I like both styles of axles, but my favorite combo right now, oddly enough is straight front and portal real. Gotta use an Element front or a heavy trx portal rear to get the rotations right.
I wish there was an easier way to get the ar45ps without having to buy a whole rtr or kit. And trying to buy and peice the axles together from scratch sucks. Like come on axial just release some axles only for us builders.

Thank you axial for using this design on the axles!
I just ordered mine! First crawler! To get me back into RC!
Great video like always. Probably my next truck I am enjoying building my Ryft Kit.

I think kits are the best! If you’re going to own one you really should know how it works!👍👍😁😎✌️
True but building them for video is a MAJOR time consuming project but the rewards are awesome when the videos help others
@@ExocagedRC I couldn’t agree more!
You make this look stupidity easy. I've been slowly building mine over the last couple of days. Waiting for some more parts to show up from Amazon.
Cool I been waiting for a nice kit for a while now. Looking forward to this one.
I have a clicking from the transmission under a load. Have you had this problem? Thanks for the help.
The champion is you! Great video
Wow, thanks!

Are these diffs locked or open
What suspension oil did you use for the shocks and what grease did you use ?
Stock oil and grease.
👍 very nice!
Maybe the Pen Spring Mod to lower the ride height?
nah I have another idea
I put 9mm specers in the shocks to lower the vehicle.
Nice build dude 💪👍😊
Thanks 😁
hi Sir
in terms of value -what will be in your opinion a better one to get
the pro kit for its price vs this one ?
what would be a better value?
depends on if you want a more capable trail truck or a straight comp truck
Great video man!
Glad you liked it!
When is the release date??
What motor is going in?
fusion pro
@@ExocagedRC thanks!
Took me 4 days with hand tools and I haven’t built a kit in years!
Good content as always did you see ebay has gearbox with dig for $34 and 2 speed with dig $60?
I think I saw that yeah. no need to buy those yet
👍👏👏👏
@Axial make some good shit ;)
319👍😄
First drive 🤔
in a few minutes
Without portals it is a Fakecamp.

Looks like they copied off Element on the receiver box with the gasket on the side

@@ExocagedRCCould you use a ar45 portal in the rear of this kit? I'm wanting to make something like Sam but for less money on the axles lol 😅
