  • In this video, we are doing a really fun Boat trip from the Pineland Marina, on Pine Island, Florida, near Cape Coral and Punta Gorda, over to the beautiful island of Cayo Costa.
    Cayo Costa is a boat access only State Park island located just minutes away from Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, and Pine Island here in Southwest Florida. Cayo Costa State Park is one of our favorite beach trips in the Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Punta Gorda area.
    This is the first video we have done leaving out of Pine Island and the Pineland Marina, so we are excited to share this with you.
    Since it is boat accessible only, you can get a huge chuck of the island to yourself, and feel like you are on an 'Old Florida Deserted Island'. This is what Florida looked like 400+ years ago. We were able to find a secluded, private section of beach nestled between some mangroves and had a great day on the island. It is a magical place to visit and one that I hope you get the chance to experience. If you want to see more content like this, don't forget to SUBSCRIBE so that you don't miss any new videos.

    Love the videos! I have not ventured to Cayo Costa since the hurricane. I am glad to see people are on the beach again!

      Thanks!! We were at Pelican Bay on Sunday with the kids and it was as busy as I have seen it in quite a while. Nice to see people enjoying it!

      I’m so happy to be able to do this again! We really missed putting out videos, and showing everyone the local areas. We moved down on July 4 two years ago. Can’t wait to have you down here, and hope to see you around!

    Good to see you back making videos of beautiful SW FLA. If you know, how is Matlacha recovering? We were supposed to be there in May, but Ian canceled that.

      Happy to be back! We drove through Matlacha on our way to this marina on Pine Island, and as a whole, it is definitely getting there. A lot of the small shops and restaurants are opening back up, but there is still a lot of severely damaged homes that I’m sure it will take a while to recover. There are several homes that have fallen halfway into the water, and others that are severely damaged as well. But overall, there are a lot of people out and about and it’s slowly returning back to normal.

    Glad you are Back! What is the Local Over Reach Government doing to Jaycee Park?.. The Locals have Revolted... but they continue to march forward with Destroying the Best Park in Cape Coral.... Update us please.

    Beautiful drone shots! We made that trip out there by kayak … with a lot less success. 😂

      Will - Awesome! Hope to see you out there sometime. Beautiful place. Current is much more tame than at the north part of the island from what I experienced, which I am sure makes it better for kayaking.

      I am thinking of kayaking out to coya Costa from the bokeelia boat ramp any advice?

    • @will-beck
      @will-beck 3 месяца назад +1

      @@adamzimmerman4423 I’ve made it there from Placida boat ramp. It’s not the water that will be a challenge. It’s the boaters not looking for kayaks.

    Noticed you anchored off the beach, water a bit chilly? ;)

    • @thecapecorallife
      @thecapecorallife  Год назад +1

      It was a little cool, but not as bad as I was expecting. The trip we did in early January was definitely way too cold to be in the water, but we had a long very cold snap around Christmas that really dropped the temp. It seems to be warming back up!

    Where did you get those cool looking beach chairs?

    • @thecapecorallife
      @thecapecorallife  Год назад +1

      That’s the #1 question we get asked on the beach!! If you get them, be prepared for everyone to stop and talk to you, haha. They are made by Bote who is a paddle board maker, and we also have their inflatable and rigid paddle boards. Great company.
