Granny squares are super easy to make. I recommend checking out Bag-o-day crochet. Her tutorials are super easy to follow and she shows you how to do everything. She has over a thousand tutorials for all kinds of stuff. There are lots of other great crochet teaching channels too if you want to learn from someone else.

Depends on how short you cut it babes! If it's long enough you may be able to wave what you have in- if not, you'll probs have to re-crochet everything together
