Hey Matt, I can't thank you enough for this information. I live on the shore of Lake Ontario and commented earlier this year about the differences with clear water on the big lake and the Finger Lakes. I've noticed you've been including specific tips for clear water fisheries all year but this one is the best by a chunk! Done perfectly. I hope one of these years you guys get a chance to visit the St Lawrence and the east end of Ontario. Again, thank you very much.
You guys are the best!! Look forward to this every time!!!!! Been doing great with a swim jig here in the midwest. Nights are cooling down, excited for the chance to catch another big one before winter!!
I heard 0-2 feet depth on a crankbait! I haven't even watched the full video and ordered one. By far the most informative fishing channel out, as a new angler as of June you guys have helped be so much thank you !
Been crushing them in the pre spawn and the fall feed bag with the Rapala rip stop number 9. Killer shallow crank and not a bank breaker. I'll buy myself a $50 megabass crank one day lol

Thanks for the tips. I live in San Antonio Texas and i am new to Bass fishing. Its frustrating, hot, and algae everywhere and overwhelming at times. But i refuse to give up. Gonna keep trying!
Id love to hear your take on rocky california spotted bass reservoirs. Im sure you guys fished some of my lakes when you were here. New Melones, Don Pedro, etc. I feel like these lakes are quite a bit different than most largemouth fisheries. Thanks for the great content 👍
Thanks. This month I've noticed the stripes in the river chasing the freshly spawned shad. I've been throwing a cotton cordell silver spoon and fishing it fast in an up and down motion. They've been smoking them
Something I like in real shallow water is a Mann's Baby 1-minus in ghost white, fished like a crankbait. It runs super shallow, it will get hung up easier than a square bill but you can keep it just barely below the surface better than just about any crankbait.
Amazing video... when I think you just can't do better, you do this and blow me away..!! My favorite videos by far, to fish with you guys some day would be like winning the lottery..!! Please keep following your calling..!! Thank you so much..!!
Thanks for another great video! Unfortunately, living in Southern Oregon I always feel like none of these videos apply to us. We don't have shad, grass, lili pads, etc. This time of year all of our lakes are dried up except the couple of high elevation natural lakes which are infested with perch.
Great video Matt. I'm in East-Central FL. I fish Fellsmere - Headwaters Lake, Stick Marsh, or 3 Forks Marsh. Tons of grass. I expect this transition to happen a little later here. But, now I know to look out for the daily lows to start dropping. I will say I am starting to see the fish group up. I went out last night and it was tough to find them, but once I did I pulled 3-4 out of that cove before moving on to another similar spot. I think it was the overcast, high-wind, strong current conditions last night causing it. For me lately, it has been looking for any area with a little bit more current than the rest. Anyway, Thank you very much for the info. Keep up the good work.
I got onto the underspin wagon recently and can't wait to chuck that in the fall. It's fun in low light or murky water conditions. I've been picking the smallies off bridge pilings with the hazedong and underspin. That slower descent the blade provides is deadly for bites on the drop and it can be ripped through the grass pretty well

Hard structure for me once the grass starts to fade... shoreline grass starts dying and I go look for rock on deep edges, or rock piles on humps with grass or shallow water nearby

Try using a 5/0 heave ewg flipping hook and a stiffer medium rod. I throw mine on 15 pound line (Berkley Big Game Green) and that rig casts as far as I want. For me mono is a tad smother with the lighter baits then floro. Just me I guess but big game has never let me down.
