This literally proves that there's still a sense of Common Sense in him, yet the Anime completely dropped it.
What i want to know is why Ren? Why does the shield hate him so much, when in season 1, he was honestly the most unhateable hero?
@@MPW2012 Because Ren killed the dragon, which in turn got "resurrected" as an undead and later parts of it got absorbed by Naofumi and thus merging the dragon with the already unlocked curse shield for curse shield lv2+. The dragon still resents Ren for killing it in the first place
@@argonaralfaran7617 understandable, but I thought Ren apologized for that, or Naofumi at least saw that he was visibly upset at his fuck up. I could be mistaken.

The anime is okay, but it pales in comparison to the source material. They ruined the Queen's character, changing her from a cold, manipulative ruler with a passion for justice, iron fists and a heart of gold to an irresponsible, emotional and passive matriarch whose only option to save her family is betting on the off chance that Naofumi won't want to see Trash and Bitch die, and is willing to kill herself leaving her kingdom and Melty without a ruler/mother.
Seriously, in the source material, she comes into the story and takes control over the plot, clears Naofumi's name in front of all the heroes, humiliates her own daughter and husband for their wrong doings and tells them to beg Naofumi for their lives. Naofumi screams in rage that he wants to see them both dead, and only then does the queen show her hand, convincing him that death is too small of a penalty for them, and eternal humiliation is a more fitting punishment - plus, she drops some hints to Naofumi that he shouldn't put her family in any more danger than SHE is willing to put them through, or there will be consequences -, which is how he decides to name them Bitch and Trash.
If Naofumi could unlock the Shield of Wrath by being perpetually pissed off to the extreme at both the world in general and a select group of individuals, I wonder if Motoyasu could unlock the Spear of Lust due to his womanizing and lecherous ways ...

Motoyasu was from the begin "Lolicon" , so if he had many"Filo"S he could Unlock it . As for the Bow if he get praise by one town for more than once , he can unlock it and Ren was doomed from the begin thx for him seeing everyone as NPC

Also in the Spear Hero spin off Motoyasu did buy all the eggs from the merchant and got a shit tonne of Filorials but was just mad that Filo wasn't among them. Although in that we did see Naofumi become a yandere so that was interesting.
But the filorial queen awnsered that Naofumi got Filo because she was raised by a hero, implying that he could had chose any kind of egg that the result would be the Filo, or she meant "hero" in a meaning more than the actual class?

I'm making my way through all of these cut contents after watching through the show a second time and I gotta say: There is a lot of information and explanations they cut out that they really should have left in. I'm realizing there are some key things about the show that I fully did not understand because the show cut out the explanations for them.
For instance, I totally didn't understand at all what the Curse Shield's powers/effects were. From what I saw in the show, it made him a bit stronger and also go crazy mad. And that was it. I honestly, both times through the show, thought that all the shield did was make him go into a rage power up. I thought that when he was cooled down and not red-eyed glowy anymore, the shield was no longer in effect.
So it kept being really confusing and annoying to me that he would activate the shield, go crazy mad, and have to be calmed down because based off of what I understood from what the show was showing me and telling me, going crazy mad (and angry strong) were the entire point of the shield -- so having to be cooled down right after activating it was the same as de-activating it or not equipping it at all to begin with.
These videos (particularly the one a few back where he first used the Curse/Rage Shield) really helped finally explain what the hell was actually going on.
Also! In the last episode or whatever with Fitoria, you explained that in the manga/LN what she said on the first night was something like, "Oh, so it'll come to that" or something genuinely ominous and vague like that. THAT WAS SUPER USEFUL TO KNOW, because I had always been annoyed at the unexplained idiocy of Naofumi in the anime around that whole thing because the way the anime did it was she said, "I'll have to kill all the heroes." And the next day he's like, "Well, gee. I wonder what she meant by that." Then she takes Melty prisoner, says "If you're not a worthy hero I'll have to kill all the heroes" and he's suddenly like "That's what you meant?!?!?!"
Like, bro! She said she was gonna kill all the heroes both times, what's the mystery or hidden meaning in that?!
Anyway, thank you for all this really needed explanation. I'll go back to watching this video now.

I don't remember if it in the manga or not, but I remember one little remark from the Queen. So minor spoiler I guess. If Pope transformed his weapon into a shield form, he could survive Blood Sucrufice but his hatred for shield was so great he subconsciously refuse to do it.
Great. At first, when I saw the starting scene of the fight in the anime I immediately thought that the opportunity for victory would be because the Pope wouldn't have had a shield at all (as it was the Church of 3 heroes, not 4). I am glad that this moment had indeed played out, however it's sad that anime omitted it

What's the deal with cursed shield and ren, did not understand that part.
Well, it's got something to do with the zobie dragon, which is enraged at Ren for killing him (naturally) and Naofumi's rage shield has the dragon's rage for him inside it as well.
It has something to do with the dragon Ren slayed and Naofumi had to deal with the zombie of. Its rage basically aids the cursed shield.

What's worth mentioning is that Naofumi, in the manga, woke up after 30 days, whereas in the anime that timespan was reduced by a lot
@unggod Well because that's a lie, in reality he only slept for two days.
Really didn't like the anime skipped that after naofumi snapped out of the rage he and filo flew to the sky to the most powerful attack of the pope and naofumi deflected not only deflected it but it exploded and parts of the attack scattered hitting and injuring many of the popes followers and also throwing them in a temporary disarray, taking this chance motoyasu and Ren attacked the pope seemingly killing him, but, it was a mirage casted by the pope using the replica bow, then the queen shows up and her wide area icicle prison got many of the now mirages of the pope and dispelling the mirage but it also hit the pope partially immobilizing him, that's when naofumi used the new curse attack.
