I bought a sct chip about 14 years ago. Same thing as a quarter horse, even uses the same type data link as the quarter horse but you can tune through the data link instead of removing the ecu and chip. They call it a switch chip. It has four tunes you can switch on the fly. I have a daily driver good fuel mileage tune a track tune with harder shifts on my 4r70w and a 105 oct. Tune. 5.0 ,35-250-4 comp cams, ported 3 bar 1.60, 1.94 headers trick flow track heat, only thing stock is the block, 36lbs injector, 1 /58 headers 5.0 f150. It can be returned over and over.

Love the chip of course quarter horse is the first but I'm in Shreveport and Dallas mustang has sct and they tuned it, like I said I love it works perfectly with a turner who knows this style chip.

I have HCI with 24lb injectors and a c&L calibrated mass air. I really just want air fuel and drivability. Wide open it screams the way it is.
Binary editor is user friendly. I've been using tuner pro rt lately. Nobody around here can tune cbaza for SN95 Mustangs so my car has been remote tuned for 4yrs. Great information!

I am in Willoughby Hills, and my fox needs tuning/diagnosis. It has a 342 long block stroker motor with a built T5. I run at Kuhnle Racetrack and barely get in the 12’s. I know my car is faster, don’t think its getting enough fuel. Help!
Whats the best way to clean off a stock J port before installing a chip and do you need to clean the bottom as well? My stock A9L still has the coating on the port.
Maybe someone on here can help so I have a 89 lx 5.0 5speed car ran fine I did a top end swap on it but I noticed when I was adjusting the valves the car was acting like it wanted to start with the key off I was using the silinond to crank it over. When I go to start it now I get no fire at the plug but I can hear the injectors firing. Could it be the tfi module needs replaced?
Could be a lot of things, I would start checking all the ignition components and move on to the wiring if no issue was found. How were actuating the solenoid?, could you have damaged it or shorted the surrounding wiring? But I would start with basics check all the ignition components if you're not getting spark. Hope this helps, just my $0.02.😅👍
If I ever get the money to build my fox up I might have to bring it up to you for a tune. If you know if a tuner near the dayton area, that would help too. The a3m is pretty much the same thing as the a9L isn't it?

So I ended up buying a terminator x. Cause there isn't any Reputable shops near me. But you just got me to save my factory wiring harness and ecu for a possible build down the road. Wish I would have known about this going in. Does your tuner tune terminatorx systems? And where are they located?
Yeah I’m thinking my bama 4 bank eliminator isn’t helping my fox think it’s running lean. Not sure that’s the chips fault still has factory injectors and fuel pressure regulator/ fuel pump.. I’m going to replace my injectors with new 19lbs and Abbi regulator and 255lph hoping that makes it come alive on the big end..I had the same mph after I installed my mods when I recently raced seemed like it was dieing on the big end.. fingers crossed.. and I have a nos question if I run a dry kit and I turn the fuel pressure up with that help or hurt? I would think it would help but I don’t know.. my overall goal is to be in the 12’s right behind the coyotes or ahead lol.

I took my 90 lx to get tuned it had a moates chip in it I don't think it was quarter horse they said they didn't have the software to tune with that chip so they installed a sct 4 bank chip and tuned it with that how would that be done
Hella funny. I still use a twEECer on my crown Vic and 5.0 explorer. Microsquirt is a much better set-up for na and someone who doesn't need traction control.
I have a 91 explorer intake and gt40 iron head with a b303 and it doesn't run really good. It kinda bogs under acceleration. Is my combo not good together, should I get a tuner? Idk what to do to make it feel right

If you have quarterhorse and a license you don’t need a burner. A burner is for those that tune and people that don’t wanna buy moates just want a chip. The tuner burns it

I installed a vortec s trim on my 1993 cobra many many years ago when I was young and didn't know any better. I had it chip tuned at a local shop and it has been like that for years. Decided to pull the s trim, 36 pound injectors and big maf off and put it back to stock. With the cobra meter and injectors that I saved. Went to pull the chip out and noticed the eec is completely missing all the tags to I'd it as an x3z cobra computer. Dont know if my ecu was replaced because I did not think those labels would fall off that easy.
@@jasoncostello9709 what probably happened is the previous owners didn’t have a good x3z or got rid of it when they went to a super charger. So they bought a reman Ecu to tune that charger

You have an SCT ELiminator chip with a switch thats correct. You can not tune to that chip directly you need quarterhorse and binary editor.

Ya you just need a simple chip. Terminator X isn’t a bad idea still for future mods

Yes and Dayton is only 5 hours. There is a few tuners in Ohio closer to you. I’d just bring it here ..

That’s a tough one. Tires are always the determining factor. Slicks probably mid 12s. Probably makes 280 wheel

We only do custom tunes as start up tunes for customers coming to the shop
