Idk, fellas. I heard about wingfox through another youtube channel who promoted a large-scale environment course, and so far, it's difficult to follow along with the course. Not because the content is bad, but because the video player for the site keeps stopping the video, and the audio goes off for a while and randomly comes back on. I can't speak for all videos, but it's a really bad first impression when they use a video player that is hindering my progress. It hurts even more when I cannot download the videos for offline viewing. I don't know what kind of player theyre using, the only information I could get that comes close to some identification is right clicking on a video and seeing what version it is. It super sucks and makes me think that using this site is a waste of money.
Yes it does vary from course to course on the quality of the videos. I have about 7 or more courses and have experienced different outcomes. nothing specific to the player other than buffering . so nothing as to what you're experiencing. I would let them know about it if you are having that issue so they can get it fixed.
Thanks for sharing your experience, I wanted to confirm that it wasn't just me. I was looking to purchase a course on this site, as it is the exact workflow I'd like to learn. It says the paid version goes to 1080p, but even the 360p video preview keeps stuttering every two seconds. Even pausing and hoping it buffers doesn't work and the audio gets out of sync. I entirely understand wanting to protect the copyright for the company and the artists who create courses, but the inability to download the videos when the online player is so terrible means that I will have to miss out.
@@HiredGunGames Yes I agree. I'm just of the opinion that if there is a financial incentive then it should be called a showcase/promo video. Not saying you can't be critical about, just the naming of it.
@@HiredGunGames Technically yeah, I agree. But I didn't say you were not being honest with what you thought about the site. What I'm pushing towards is people being paid for videos like this to be more careful with their wording of the title or to have a clear disclaimer at the beginning of the video indicating that the company paid for the video. Again, my perspective is "review" and "showcase/promotion" mean different things in the youtube context.
@@Chamucokiddo I don’t understand, I did state they sponsored the video, and stated at the beginning it’s promoted. Idk what more you want. It still doesn’t change the fact that it’s a review. A review is an assessment with intention of change.
Hi. I am just curious but If I pay for a course that is in the translation fundraising stage ($25.00) do I get the videos that the person releases as they update or do I have to pay more?
During the fundraising stage is the cheapest to buy full courses. If you pay 25$ for a course and it doesn’t say something like 4 payments of 25$ then the course is as of the fundraising 25$ but as it continues the price goes up until the course is released. So if I pay 25$ I get the entire course for only 25$ but if I wait to pay then the price goes up and I pay more depending on how long the fundraising has gone on for. So yes you get the full course for 25$ I’m assuming.
Same question. I've been watching one tutorial, then refreshed the page and it said the video is private already... I should had watched everything I planned earlier, damn
hello I have a questin in regads to the wingfox. so i purchased the course and you have to install the software to watch the course videos right? or is it for different reasons? thank you in advance!
the videos should be available to you on your account on their website. it's much like udemy once you unlock the courses they will be available to you. However, there are courses that update weekly and won't be available until the following week but you do have access to them for free you just have to wait until the next week to watch them. Why do they do this I'm not sure I think it's either because of the sale periods or it's The instructor's choice.
@@HiredGunGames thanks for the quick reply! I thought that wingfox would work like Udemy but when I go to product page of my purchased course , it just says “go to client software “ and downloaded wind fox set up .exe file. 😓did you have to do that?? It is real time knight character creation course that you were showing in the video.
@@tomoyaogawa4485 I didnt have to do any of that. The courses are made by instructors anything that has to do with the website is wingfox themselves so if they changed how you view the videos i would speak to their support about it. I can still log on to my account and see the courses from their website. If you are living in another country that might also be the issue. But yeah make sure you contact their support if you are having issues. If you want to watch the videos I personally downloaded the app on my ipad so i can watch them while i do other things. like laying down and such. Not a bad app either.

It is not a review if you got sponsored by them
I disagree. You can still be critical of something even if you are sponsored by them.

Not so much the outdated software as opposed to the workflows itself. And that’s on the individual themselves not so much the website
