To me this is a truly celestial Scarlatti, one might say a new Scarlatti emerging from a performance on the very highest plane of excellence. If anything deserves the description “awe-inspiring”, something which leaves one amazed at what music can do, I think it should be this. Supreme elegance; supreme control; perfection of art.

Sgrizzi c'était le soleil, la lumière ; Erato l'a écarté pour Scott Ross ; je trouve le Scarlatti de Scott Ross plutôt routine et la prise de son désastreuse (les premiers disques de Scott Ross chez Stil étaient bien plus musicaux) ; Hantaï est trop pressé ; chez Rondeau j'entends tout, la sensibilité de Verlet, la lumière de Sgrizzi, …le swing de Thelonious Monk

He escuchado por lo menos una vez las 555 sonatas de Scarlatti y me encanta la mayoría. Pero siento que esta sonata en particular es un poco tediosa de entender y disfrutar (gusto personal).

Yo descubrí que las versiones en piano y en clavecín le otorgan carácter distinto a cada sonata. Algunas interpretadas en un instrumento no me parecen tan buenas como en otro. Osea estaríamos hablando de 1110 sonatas!!!!! Que maravilla
