If you’ve followed this channel for any length of time, you probably know that I’m a convert to the #Catholic religion.
And so I’ve done videos on this channel about why I didn’t become a Protestant, or why I’m not Eastern Orthodox, and why I’m not a Muslim, and some of the comments on those videos have issued the challenge to explain why I’m not a #Jewish.
There are two dimensions to being a member and practitioner of the Jewish religion. One is the hereditary dimension and the other is the creedo/cultural/religious dimension.

Post Temple Rabbinical Judaism is not the same as Biblical Judaism, nor is the Secular State of Israel the same as the Biblical Kingdom of Israel.

@@euengelion Well if I may liberally steal from Larry Chapp's criticism of Schneider's CREDO Quote" that modern rabbinic Judaism is not really a legitimate form of Judaism at all since it lacks the identifying historical markers of “temple, priesthood, and sacrifice” (p. 34, #204). But this ignores the historical fact that during the time of Jesus the Judaism of the synagogues, with their worship centered on the Tanakh and led by rabbis (often pharisees) was indeed a legitimate form of the Judaism of that time, which quite often existed in a kind of theological tension with the Temple cult of the Sadducees. But Bishop Schneider seems oblivious to this fact and goes on to conclude that “modern Judaism as a whole exists as a rejection of God’s calling” since it denies the full truth of God’s Revelation in Christ. As a whole? Does he mean by this that modern Judaism is to be defined through and through by the category of “rejection of Christ” without remainder? It would seem so."END QUOTE. I was on locals - but I don’t endorse the owner and I don’t want to finance his lifestyle. I’d rather support you directly.
I am not Jewish for two simple reasons.
A) I was not born into such a family and therefore cannot be an ethnic Jew.
B) I choose not to be a convert to Judaism because Jews are still awaiting the arrival of the Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament while I am convinced that he already came and will again return.
My reasons for believing so:
1. Isaiah 7:14- He would be born from a virgin
2. Psalm 72:10- He would be worshipped and given gifts at birth
3. Isaiah 40:3-4- His ministry would be preceded by a voice calling in the desert
4. Zechariah 9:9- He would come riding on a donkey
5. Isaiah 42:1-4- His message of salvation would also extend to the Gentiles
6. Isaiah 53:3- He would be despised and rejected
7. Zechariah 11:13- He would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver
8. Psalm 22:16- His hands and feet would be pierced
9. Psalm 22:18- Lots would be cast for His clothes
10. Leviticus 17:11- He would die and pour out his blood for our sins
11. Psalm 68:18- He would ascend to heaven

Yes, correct, those verses are quoted by our Church fathers & a lot more. In fact, and had you been fluent in the Hebrew, you would see Christ very clearly revealed by the Father when it signs: "the Neum of YHVH" = the Logos/Speech of God the Father

Daniel 7 is the only time where Christ is revealed in image directly in his 2 natures: the divine person (Ancient of Days) & the human nature (1 like the Son of Man)

Also I find it hard to believe that the MAN on the throne ABOVE the cherub (1:25-16) that came to Ezekiel with a "great cloud" (1:4), has the "likeness of the glory of the Lord", then "stood there" (3:23) is just a mere Angel. Then on chapter 4 this figure makes Ezekiel "bear their [children of Israel] iniquities" (4:4) like Christ. Then from Chapter 6 all the way to Chapter 39 Ezekiel starts off almost every chapter with "the word of the Lord came to me." We know who this "word" is; it's not a mystery, but the gospel of John tells us that the word was with God, and the word WAS God (John 1:1). I think you're under cutting your own apologetic leaving out Ezekiel's encounters with Christ AND the Holy Spirit
Catholics have followed the true line of Judaism. We are the church of Jesus, founded by Jesus, the Jewish Messiah. Participants in the New Covenant. * Jews go by the mother’s lineage. Jesus gave us His Jewish mother to be our mother and we receive His Body and Blood in the Eucharist. Fr. Calloway has said that the DNA of every mother is in her children forever and visa versa. So when we receive Jesus in Holy Communion we also receive Mary’s DNA.
Okay, this is a form of supercessionism that is very radical and dangerous. While the Church does replace judaism as a means of salvation the jews are still the jews. And we aren't them, this rethoric that we somehow are the true jews is false and outright cultural appropriation.
The best way to describe modern Orthodox Judaism is to compare it to Mormonism. That is to say, they utilize the original book but they added to it with new books and they put their faith and daily practices and covenants from the new stuff that is unfortunately not inspired word of god.

It’s far more grounded in the Old Testament than Mormonism is in the Bible. The Talmud is ultimately a guide on how to interpret and apply the Torah. Mormon’s main scripture is the Book of Mormon, which isn’t even attempting to interpret the Bible it’s a new thing entirely.

The Book of Mormon is all Bible motifs and Joseph smith’s storytelling in a way that interprets his views of the meanings behind New Testament teachings although sold off as from above. That’s not really my point though. The point is the Talmud brings all kinds of new teachings that are not biblical. And then modern Jews believe they cannot follow Christ because it goes against their teachings - even though it doesn’t go against the Bible it goes against their Talmud. And as I said the Talmud is not inspired word. They treat Rashi as if he’s more important than Isaiah. That’s just a fact.
Thoughtful presentation, as usual. But I am left wondering: What about Ruth? She was the quintessential outsider, but by her own act, adopted Naomi’s people. What about Lot’s daughters? They were members of the tribe but their offspring became outsiders. Maybe you covered this and I missed it, but just in case you didnt I would be interested in your thoughts.

Good take on why you don't endorse Judaism. I would like to add that God chose a single people to prepare the way for His coming into the world. It was His manifestation that marked His people's opportunity to choose Him. Some received and believed while others rejected. Those that received founded His church and in turn offered Him to the world. Those that rejected, lost their inheritance. Those that rejected Him lost everything and that void has been filled with hatred of Christ and all He stands for. That is why the history of the past 2000 years is the story of persecution against the Church. The synagogue of Satan is the force behind the persecution just as it was the force behind the Crucifixion. "If they hate you, remember, they hated me first" But we don't hate them, we pray for them. We are the children of the promise, we are the true Israel. The children of the lost can regain everything by their conversion. We want this because then we will be brothers once again.

For the last damn time guys, Jews don’t think the Talmud is Scripture, the Talmud is their equivalent to the church fathers, it’s a collection of dialogues and debates. And before you call me a Zionist or smth, I am literally a Roman Catholic Catechumen and a Monarchist, the most authentically Jewish thing I can do is accept Yeshua as my King and Myriam as the Mother of God.

Hey Brian, just to let you know, you're wrong about it not being possible to covert to Orthodox Judaism. It is absolutely possible and some people do so. Even one of their greatest "sages", rabbi Akiva from the late 1st and early 2nd centuries was a convert and he is extremely revered to this day. Even in the Old Testament scriptures we see the possibility, and the reality, of converting.
Probably should have looked into this a bit more before making this video.

I haven't read all of the comments so I don't know if this has been addressed by someone else and I apologize if it has.
The problem I have with this is the fact that God chose the Israelites _before_ Judaism existed. That suggests that God didn't choose a people of a particular religion but people of a certain ethnicity. As a result, it is not possible for a someone who is not a descendant of those Israelites to convert and become one of the chosen. Contrary to current societal norms, one cannot change his/her ethnicity or race.
Orthodox Judaism do eccept converts.
Judaism is not a proselytizing religion, because it isn't a universal religion like Christianity or Islam, but an ethnic religion. Judaism it's foremost a peoplehood/ethnicity/nation/culture/civilization. In actuallity you aren't convert to the Jeish faith, but join to the Jewish people.

Because of a priets's sermon I respect the Jews, but not those vengeful ones. According to the priest, The Catholic Church is the continuation of the Jewish religion, in fullfilment of the Prophecies. The priest said the early Christions did not abandon the Jewish religion, the early Catholics took all Jewish traditions and Christianized them. The Rites of the traditional Church all come from Judaism. Sadly the foefathers of the Jews that rejected Christ brought down a curse upon themselves, "Let His Blood be on our hands and upon our cildren and our childrens children". They called down from God a curse, when they accept Jesus Christ and His Holy Roman Catholic Church then I believe this curse will be lifted.

You can convert to orthodox Judaism. It's true that they don't actively proselytize and often even discourage converts, but they 100% have converts.

This is the correct and most concise answer. The "Jews" of today are seen through God's eyes the same as any non-believer, Jews, Buddhists, Atheists, Satanists, etc; they will not get to heaven unless they accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The covenant that God made with His chosen people is extended only to all those who accept his Son, regardless of race or ethnicity.

You can convert . There are coverts to the Jewish faith. BUT , you would have to deny Christ.
You can convert to traditional Judaism, but the Jews are not a church; in Hebrew they are an “AM” or a “people.” However, Jewish identity is matrilineal, that is, carried through the mother, and not the father. If the child’s mother is Jewish, then the child is Jewish. If the father is Jewish and the mother is not, then the child is considered non-Jewish. But anybody can covert to traditional Judaism. Jesus was from the House of David, through Joseph, but his Jewishness can through his biological mother Mary. It is through Mary the Incarnation happened, and occurred within time and space, in Judea two thousand years ago.
When I began my spiritual journey, I also considered the possibility that the true faith might be Judaism, and I, too, drew the conclusion that Orthodoxy was the most logical variety to explore. As I got into my studies, though, I discovered a distinction between the Torah SheBichtav and the Torah SheBeal Peh, both of which are referred to simply as the Torah. The former is what can be called the Oral Law, which was only finally written down after the fall of the Second Temple. This Oral Law, in what can today be called Rabbinic (as opposed to Biblical) Judaism, now takes precedence in Jewish teaching and belief. Not only is this (now written) Oral Law based on the teachings of the Pharisees (so many times decried by Christ), and not only does it often contradict (not to say undermine) the original written Scriptures, but it also delineates a two-tiered morality (as does Islam, incidentally), whereby sin against one’s neighbor is only truly sin against one’s true neighbor (i.e., a fellow member of the proverbial tribe).
As an aside, when I finally got round to exploring Christianity, knowing these things about Judaism certainly cast an interesting light on my reading of Luke 10:25-37 (the parable of the Good Samaritan). At any rate, I will not go into the debate as to whether one can actually convert to become a full-fledged Jew. However, I will say that I could not bring myself to believe in (much less worship) a God who would advocate treating his children thusly. Moreover, it’s hard for me to even think of people today calling themselves Jewish (in a religious sense) as “People of the Book,” given the low place they actually accord the Tanakh (a.k.a., the Old Testament).

Believing that the Torah is "Jewish Scripture" or their authoritative text shows how Protestantized Catholics have become. Judaism does not have Sola Scriptura where anyone can read the Torah and have Faith in it. The authority is the Rabbi.
According to Rabbi Finklestein in "The Jews- Their History, Culture and Religion", Vol 4 (Jewish Publication Society of America, 1949):
"The Talmud derives its authority from the position held by the ancient academies (i.e. Pharisee). The teachers of those academies, both of Babylonia and Palestine were considered the rightful successors of the older Sanhedrin... At the present time, the Jewish people have no living central authority comparable in status to the ancient Sanhedrins or the later academies. Therefore, any decision regarding the Jewish religion must be based on the Talmud as the final resume of the teaching of those authorities when they existed."
In "The Talmud: Heart's Blood of the Jewish Faith" Rabbi Herman Wouk states:
"The Talmud is to this day the circulating heart's blood of the Jewish religion. Whatever laws, customs or ceremonies we observe- whether we are Orthodox, Conservative, Reform or merely spasmodic sentimentalists- we follow the Talmud. It is our common law"
They don't accord the Tanakh a low place, they regard it as being on the same level as Oral Tradition, much like another religion I happen to know about...
The only difference is they have an Old Testament (partly corrupted) Oral Tradition and we have an New Testament (non-corrupted) Oral Tradition.

It’s been a while since I’ve studied in this area, so please correct me if you know better, but it is my understanding that the Tanakh (which includes the written Torah) is essentially the same as the Protestant Old Testament. In short, that is the written law, which we Christians believe Jesus fulfilled. As Jesus indicates numerous times in the New Testament (which is admittedly a written account of part of Christian oral tradition-I assume that’s what you’re referencing), the scribes and Pharisees had wrongly supplemented the (divine) written law with purely man-made oral laws. After the destruction of the Second Temple, these oral laws became the basis of the Mishnah, which also produced relevant rabbinic commentaries, such as the Gemara (most importantly that of the Babylonic Talmud, which is given primacy over the Palestinian Talmud). Rather than “low place,” perhaps I should have said “inferior status,” as rabbinic sages such as Maimonides claimed all scripture to have two meanings: one literal (silver) and one figurative (gold), the latter referring to the Talmud, the former to the Tanakh. And sometimes the teachings of the Talmud are not only in direct contradiction to Christian teachings (even of the OT) but also distasteful to many non-Jews (although especially Christians).

@@catholicguy1073 Not exactly. The Talmud contains both a codification of the Oral Law (a.k.a. The Mishnah) and commentaries on it (a.k.a. The Gemara). The contradiction I speak of is between the Mishnah and the Old Testament. The Gemara does not contradict the Mishnah but rather serves to help us understand it and its place of primacy.

Orthodox Judaism does most certainly welcome converts. It is a very rigorous process requiring full compliance with Torah observance.

Sad to say that Brian is deeply mistaken about conversion to Orthodox Judaism. I grew up in the Orthodox ("non modern/secular" to put it more in Brian's word) and there were plenty of converts. Its a complete fallacy that conversion is not possible in Orthodox Judaism. Brian's assertion that conversion to Orthodox Judaism is not allowed is almost akin to saying that pork is kosher.
Not only that, but there were even converts to Judaism in the Old Testament. As long as there have been Jews, there have been converts.
It is possible for Gentiles to join mainstream Orthodox and Charedi Jewish groups but they would initially be treated with suspicion.
The theology of post-Temple Judaism is another matter. If you follow it through logically you end up Catholic or Orthodox Christian. In order to remain Jewish you have to set aside the entire NT.

All denominations of Judaism accept converts, conversion was always part of Judaism some famous converts include: Ruth, Obadiah, rabbi Yehuda Halevi, also another Obadiah who also converted wrote to Maimonides regarding questions such as can he recite prayers thanking G’d for freeing Jews from Egypt, for not making him a non Jew etc and Maimonides replied yes he can
Correct, God is not done with them yet, Jesus is their messiah and fulfilled the law and the prophecy's, and God will still fulfill his promises to them, Jesus is the line of David, the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
Jesus is also the son of God and equal with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. What he did living a righteous life and fulfilling the law of God, and dyeing on the cross and raising again from the dead. This allows us to not try to establish our own righteousness before God, which will always fail because it will never measure up to his own righteousness, which he compares it to! But! Be credited with his by our faith in this truth! This is as a Gift from God so we cannot boast. Super awesome, just wanted to add that part.

I was raised in the reform sect of the Jewish faith, which is definitely more secular. I came to faith in Christ when I was sixteen years old, and joined the Catholic Church when I was 19. I'm 40, now. So, I was particularly interested in this video. While I'm not an expert on all things Judaism, I believe you nailed a lot of the points on the head. Especially the fact that there haven't been prophets (or books of the Bible added!) since Jesus's first coming, more than 2000 years ago. Among so much else, the "silence" of God towards the Jews is too much of a coincidence with the arrival of Christianity. Now, there are a couple of things I wanted to address, specifically regarding conversion.
Yes, it IS possible for a non-Jew (gentile) to become Jewish, and not just conservative or reform. I was taught that gentiles who are interested in becoming Jewish must be rejected by the rabbi they approach three times, in order to test their sincerity. Whether this actually happens likely depends on the level of orthodoxy of the sect and the rabbi. Additionally, there are rabbis who believe that those not born Jewish are expected by God NOT to become Jewish, but to obey the Noahide laws in order to "be saved." However, a Jewish interpretation of those laws would mean the rejection of Christianity, because Jews believe in one form of God, not the Trinity, so to worship Jesus is--in THEIR minds--not honoring this commandment. I suppose that if you (generically speaking) believed that the Jews were right and you have to essentially reject Christianity in order to live a life according to God, the next step would be outright conversion.
Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there, in case you're reading the comments. As I said, I'm a Catholic convert, and believe that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies and proved Himself to be the Christ. To go back to the faith I was born into, then, would be utter foolishness. Although, on a lighter note, Jews have great food, and I won't give THAT up! :)
Omgosh, I am gobsmacked. This is the second video that I have watched of yours, appreciating the thought put into the first video.
As a Noahide, meaning a non-Jew who recognizes the Torah, I am shocked to hear your points in regards to your truth seeking mission. The Torah talks about converts many times and converts are definitely recognized in orthodox communities (maybe some more than others but there are many many laws commanding respect and integration of converts). It is well known amongst Rabbis and Rabanits that converts have a special place in G-d’s heart as they have chosen to take on the heavy burden of being a light onto the Nations.
The second part just seems like you read the New Testament and the Old Testament from the eyes of a Christian and looked at history as a Christian rather than an unbiased truth seeking person. There are so many sources debunking the New Testament’s link to the Tanach that there is a whole movement of Christians leaving the church when they started asking more questions and digging deeper. Moreover, there are so many amazing Rabbis online that share the most amazing understandings from the Jewish traditions and sages about what the Tanach says and why things happened the way that they did; it is plain in the text to a learned scholar about the exiles that have been placed on the Nation, with the last one (the Roman one) being the longest and most feared.
I don’t sense that you actually dug in deep to the context, the understandings, and truth of the Jewish traditions and sages but took a macro look at society’s understanding and modern secs that are not a reflection of the Torah’s undistorted truth.

This is complete and utter nonsense. Rabbi's infinitely manipulate language to suit their needs at the current moment. To be Jewish means to be a rejector of Christ. Simple as. You can learn about other religions but you can't talk about Jesus or read the New Testament. The Rabbi is there to keep Jews from the light of Christ. You CAN CONVERT to Orthodox Judaism. However you must be converted by an Orthodox Rabbi. The Orthodox Rabbis in Israel do not recognise conversions any conversions by orthodox rabbis outside of Israel

As one of the comments below, You didn’t look close enough at Judaism if you think Orthodox Judaism is the closest to original.
I’m grew up as a MK in Israel and grew up surrounded by many historians and theologians, both expats and Jews who were close friends of my parents and including my parents who were “lay” ones themselves. The closest “denomination” of sound Old Testament practice sans influence of pagan influence today is possibly “Karaite Judaism”. Certain branches of Messianic Judaism is close one as well, but retain Jesus as part of the God head, though sadly many messianics incorporate traditional Judaism into their practices usually in order to feel more”Jewish” In identity. Sad.
Also you comment about being “Chosen” as the only way to be excepted in traditional Judaism is not a good argument. Maybe true with modern Judaism, but throughout the Old Testament many non descendants of Jacob became Yehova following believers or God fearers.
Hello! I'm a Jewish/Hebrew Catholic (Catholic with Jewish heritage), and gentiles actually can convert to Judaism, though it's not easy. Judaism justifies converts being just as chosen as ethnic Jews by way of kaballah (Jewish mysticism). There's a kaballistic belief that (please forive me if any of the details are wrong. I'm not an expert on kaballah) there's something called a "Jewish soul". If an ethnic Jew choses to abandon his faith, a gentile can be born with that Jew's "Jewish soul" and therefore be justified through the covenant as long as that gentile goes through the conversion process. It's sorta a reincarnation type belief.
Please note that this is a comment I'm making for educational purposes. I have no animosity towards the religious beliefs of those in my Jewish family who practice the Jewish religion. I still consider myself to be Jewish, though one who believes in Yeshua as my Messiah and that the Catholic Church is the church that He established.
You're not exactly right about Orthodox conversions. The Orthodox do recognize conversions, but they're pretty strict about which conversions they recognize. Which is mainly those performed by an Orthodox rabbi and beit din. For Reform and Conservative conversion, they take it on more of a case by case basis. You might be thinking about the Haredi, or the ultra Orthodox who live in small enclaves mosty in Israel, but they don't really like anyone. There's also the Samaritans, but they're technically a different religion than Judaism, and there are only a few hundred of them left, all of whom were born into it. Actually, some theories about the origins of Ashkenazi Jews state that most are descended from converts. They did hit a genetic bottleneck at one point where they had fewer people than modern Samaritans, so it's not beyond the pale of reason to suspect as much, though I'm not sure the evidence says so.
Of course you CAN become an orthodox jew!! but it's hard work...lots of studies. A convert is referred to a "Ger Tsedek" and is regarded very highly by "born" jews.

I think the only real question between Judaism and Christianity is whether Jesus is the Christ. If he isn't, then you should worship in the way Jews do, if he is, you should be a Christian. I'm firmly in the latter camp.
When you convert to the Judaism you are joining the nation/people of Judaism. You are now a Jew according to Orthodox Judaism regardless of you ethnic background. There are Jews of all ethnic backgrounds and from different countries. This abutment of being a descendent of Anglo saxons and not being able to become a Jew and accepted by their people is not true at all. I can tell that jut because there is an ethnic aspects to those born into Jewish faith/people, it shows your argument is not well researched from proper Jewish sources. Not bashing you, just pointing out what is categorically false in what you presented.
The Hebrews were "Chosen" to be the preservers of the one true religion and promised the Messiah would come from them. Jesus Christ was that Messiah and said he was God. This means that the relationship between Judaism and Catholicism is likened to the caterpillar and the butterfly. Once the butterfly exists, the caterpillar exists no more. The significance of the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. was that the Jews lost their priesthood, not merely the temple. They lost their priesthood because their genealogies were destroyed. The Jewish priesthood was determined by heredity. God allowed them to forever lose their hereditary sacrificial priesthood because the caterpillar turned into the butterfly by the Jewish Messiah Himself. Judaism since that time have become merely an anachronism. Essentially they are LARPing Judaism of old, minus the priesthood and the daily sacrifices of animals. The Talmud was written after they ceased to be the true religion, as a response to Christianity.

Of course Orthodox Judaism accepts converts. Yes, you will have to be convincing why that is so important to you to convert. But they will accept you. There are a lot of converts in the Torah and even Egyptians who left Egypt together with the Israelites and received the Torah at mount Sinai became Jews that day.

We Jews have never sought to convert gentiles; it’s possible, but rabbis have to reject one three times before they can even start their conversion, and even then they can drop whenever they choose. It is not only the Roman Catholics and the various branches of the Eastern Communions who hold to the elements you gave from the Patristics (Episcopacy, Sacraments, Sacrificial Priesthood). Old Catholics, Anglicans, and Lutherans all hold to these elements as well.

Orthodoxy does indeed accept conversion. The requirements are very strict and not for the dilettante. They will want to see that you are 100% living the life.

When it comes to conversion to Judaism, it is my understanding that Orthodox conversion is the only one considered valid. Now, if you really agreed with their theology but did not feel called to convert, there is the Noahide path, which is not necessarily a path to conversion but is the way of the righteous gentile.
I was raised Orthodox Jewish. I can tell you with absolute confidence that ANY individual, no matter their race or previous religious affiliations will be accepted as a convert. The caveat is that a Rabbi will not convert a person who believes Jesus is the Messiah or Devine in some way. The first part of the video is pretty misleading. It implies the Orthodox reject new converts. That is definitely not the case. Orthodox people don't actively proselytize to bring outsiders into the fold. But they welcome, literally anyone who will accept the basic practices and beliefs of Orthodox Judaism (Torah Judaism). Converts are full fledged Jews in ALL respects. The only difference between a Convert and a Jew born into the faith, is that a Convert cannot marry someone who is a descendent of the Priestly class (appx. %10 of Jews). Hope that helps!

The vast majority of extremely Orthodox religions traditions to recognize the legitimacy of conversion, but they do not encourage it, do not make it easy, and it would mean separating yourself from the larger world (even the larger conservative world) through religious practices many of which seem to have been created to create just such a separation.

You're not the first person to suggest that the destruction of the Jerusalem temple was God's way of definitively removing his bessing from the Jewish people.
According to modern Jews, their Rabbis can sometimes have a Pope-like authority and their halachic rulings can come pretty close to ongoing revelation as Orthodox Judaism is practiced. Hasidic Judaism goes even further with the supernatural honor they give to their holy men. Some of the language they use could also be used by a Christian to talk about Jesus.

My line of thought is the same. If I'm going to be religious, it has to be the most traditional and orthodox practice with historical backing etc... that's why I'm Roman Catholic =)
Traditional Orthodox Judaism definitely takes converts, it is harder to get and as a rule may chase away 3 times before taking your conversion intentions seriously.
The first christian believers were messianic jewish. Our Lord Saviour's family were jewish. Lady Miriam (Mary) is a jewish mother and father Josef were King David's descendant. Yeshua was born as Ben David like Talmud teaches haMashiach will come first and the second coming of the Messiah will be Ben David. Jesus will come soon again in Glory and the house of David will be re-established. We should know the first 40 years after Yeshua's death on the cross and resurrection, the follovers of Yeshua gathered in the Temple of Jerusalem even daily and they observed those customs like immercing in ritual bath mikveh just before entering the Temple area. The follovers of Yeshua did those alljewish practises in the name of Yeshua differing other jewish sects. The first followers of Yeshua were like jewish at that time and also in the Talmudic texts at that time shows they were honored among other jewish people but later on the Middle Ages those Talmud text were changed polemic way. Nowadays the historians and archeologists in Israel think that the early christians were one jewish sect and it's roots are more pharisaic not sadducean. Later when more pagan origin people converted to christianity the church fathers were antisemitists and made huge mistakes and changed many crusial things, like calendar and festivals etc. I think catholic traditions (Latin mass etc) are rich and beautiful and we can practise them but we should same time remember that Jesus and His discibles didn't do those practises and that tradition is much later. Knowing old jewish traditions enriches our understanding about Yeshua and the life of His jewish followers. Antijewish attitudes are not the fruit of the Spirit. Loving jewish people and wanting to learn the jewish perspective in the Bible doesn't lead away from Yeshua, on the contrary. Messianic jewish scholars like "One for Israel" are perhaps the best christian teachers today.
Gentile converts were made exempt from the Torah in Acts ch 15, after the household of Cornelius started spontaneously praying in tongues while the Apostles were preaching to them. The whole household, which would have included slaves and children, were baptised on the spot.
This has to be one of the easiest questions for a Christian to answer. If someone asked this to try and stump you, it would be rude of me to say what that suggests about them.

I have to say that its isn't true that Orthodox Judaism does not recognise conversions. There are specific, regulated mechanisms for it even in the most closed-off branches of Ultra-orthodox Judaism.
And about the destruction of the Temple, what a bout the first time around. There are no major recorded miracles that I can think of that happened to the entire nation during that exile. All they had is prayer. If someone could not theoretically survive this exile, would they have survived the previous one? If you ask Jews, they will not at all say God has been silent throughout their recent history.
With respect, and I say this as a Jewish convert to Catholicism, it seems to me that this video was made with Christianity's being true in mind. While its s true that Christianity is true, that cannot be a working supposition when looking into another religion. It would have been interesting to see you try to tackle Judaism's best responses to the issues you raised.

By law, Orthodox Rabbis will reject you 3 times and only on the 4th will you be welcomed to study the Torah and Gemara. If your faith is strong enough, and you study intensely, you will be accepted as a full convert and may begin the processes of building a large Jewish family.

Quite simple Jesus made it clear he cared for all often meeting with gentiles, Samaritan’s (seen as not Jewish) and tax collectors (seen as betrayers of the Jewish people)
