📚 Learning Recommendation: amzn.to/3X95qwx The Cannonball Adderley Omnibook is my top pick for mastering Cannonball Adderley’s incredible solos. A must-have for any serious jazz musician!
Straight fire - missed this dude on his last tour to SF but next time he’s in town I will definitely be there to witness these chops - also meanwhile I will be practicing this transcription
damnit! how i hate it to be the guy playing after another one nailed his solo that hard! its like "nah, i`m good. lets just play the head out and i take my chances with the next song!" thanks for the work!

I love how much Emmet loves playing with Patrick 😂
I mean, who wouldn't?
Pause
This is why patrick is one of my favorite saxophonists
He's never played something I disliked
Patrick is the most musical player on the scene right now.
Pretty sure that “after you’ve gone” lick is actually Miles’s - “Walkin’” off of Four and More is the first time I’ve heard that done
it was on Dr. Jekyll and a lot of the earlier quintet and sextet stuff too
yea it's a miles thing, idk when he first started doing it tho
Russel's reaction time to those subs at 1:37 is crazy
that "after you've gone hit" makes so much sence after watching patrick's barkley video on it
1:54 Miles Davis hit
And all of this without drugs.. this is next century music
That bit at 1:54 was so clean
didn't know Thundercat was that savage on the upright
Love how on the hit Russel also kind of hits it with that low e string

Remarkable. 1:47-1:48 is also a quote from diminuendo and crescendo in blue...

It's not the "After You've Gone" hit. It's common jazz language, inspired specifically by Miles Davis. Listen to "Milestones" for example.
this is good my friend
Filthy and clean at the same, damn time! Sheesh! 🔥
Bruce Harris focused through the solo like a surgeon on adderall
It's in a different key...but the bridge is the same...
@@Ajaykohli1971 what
I’m a trumpeter but thank you for putting in alto key. Great transcription!
You're welcome!
damn. That's a good one!
HE IS MODERN BIRD
1:24 Isn't it a quote of Mario Bros ?
Sounding like Sonny on this track!
bro went dumb
Bro went ham 😁
Love it ! 🔥🔥
Could you transcribe something of scott hamilton ? Would be really grateful:)

if you think this was dissing patrick, youve clearly misread my comment
