+Regestreserern Gradotz yes!! I think it was purposeful, specially considering how it talked about time and used the image of ants when Dali's most famous painting is The Persistence of Memory! Well noticed indeed.
This was beautiful... I think it refers back to our instinctual need for companionship, and our ability to see beauty almost in every place. The female is not comfortable with her external appearance, so she uses clothes to express herself. This explains why she was able to obtain a dress out of the shadow of something as simple as a bell. When she turns into a dandelion, that's her wanting to share her beauty with the world. The male character however feels the passage of time before him. He is afraid of aging, because he believes the woman he loves will not want him when he is old and gray. And through the horrifying twist of visuals, we see the two finally united, their love and companionship shaped by the area around them.
This has happened twice now - I've dropped acid in a dream, then soon after I wake up and get visuals. They are actual outlined closed eye visuals, not just colours or pulsing/waving orbs. Not completely dissimilar from visuals from actual LSD, but less colourful and smaller. They're pretty minor, and not in all of my vision, more confined to a circle in the centre. But they're still visuals, and I'm definitely awake when experiencing them. Which is crazy. They last a few minutes and then fade away. I should note that I have done LSD a few times, and experienced these visuals a decently long time after tripping, so it's not after effects. Has anyone else experienced this? This just completely blows my mind.
VenusVisuals Yes, I too have seen eyes as a projected 'hallucination,' though not because I had taken LSD. I was in bed, in those trance-like states just before/after sleep (hypnogogia) when I realized that these images emanated from a central point, as I thought this, an eye appeared. It remained, blinking, while other images swirled about it. I then became aware that its' placement was directly above the so called third-eye, and that this must be the experience which these people were describing. I have had experiences with the Jungian practice of imaginative play, so when the eyeball began 'speaking,' I was able to suspend my disbelief and I entered into a state which I can only describe as a wake-state-dream. If you have had, and are interested in these entirely natural but mind-blowing human experiences, if you haven't already... read up on Carl Gustav Jung. Also Andre Breton or Hugo Ball would likely be stimulating for you. Surreal translates to 'reality plus.' They believed, as William Blake did as well, that our culture had gone mad from in ability to see the world in our rational mode and our imaginative mode (the 'plus'). I hope you find this information helpful. And good luck in your dreams.
When you try to remember information do you say it aloud? If you don't remember how to spell a word, do you 'sound' it out? We have particular ways which we relate to our senses. If you have an auditory learning temperament it may explain the musical hallucinations. I have a more visual learning style, hence all the imagery, and probably the allusion to painters in my comments. Have you ever tried to induce trance-like states with music?
I induce trance like states with music all the time, mostly with music i make myself, and I talk to myself constantly in order to remember anything. I'm probably going to take your advice on reading up on Carl Jung, it seems interesting.
VenusVisuals It sounds like a flash back, some of the chemicals from LSD that got trapped in parts of your spinal chord. Maybe the way you sleep has released them. The experience of the drug probably reminds you of the feeling, and triggers a dream where you take the drug. You probably wouldn't notice you were high until after the dream.
This short animated movie was originally written by Walt Disney and Salvador Dali. It represents the love story of Chronos and the ill-fated love he has for a mortal woman. The story continues as the woman dances through surreal scenery inspired by Dalí's paintings.
I really think people should open their eyes when watching this video before instantly assuming the creator (which I believe is Dali) was on drugs or had some form of mental disorder. If you actually spent time to watch the video a few times and listen to the song, it tells a beautiful story and I think the animation really fits with this song. Even DyE's other music video to Fantasy is good, it's just disregarded because it's extremely taboo and disturbing to viewers, but it carries a message with it and it makes people think - and the animation is actually really beautiful, the colours really fit the mood of the song, it's just the events that make people completely reject the whole idea of the video which is a shame. I love DyE's music, it makes me feel something that no other artists has made me feel before.
No person could last long enough on psychedelics to create this video while under their influence, but the surreal transformations and visuals definitely imply that they were used by some of the creators.
Kind of a weird story but I feel compelled to tell it. For a while after high school ended I was looking for new friends and connections. I wound up meeting this dude who was super strange. We just came from completely different background and had completely different life experiences. But I agree to meet up with him, and at 10 at night we drove around in his car and talked about life and how weird everything was. Later on he’d invite me to a party where I would met the love of my life. Even though I greatly appreciated him inviting me after The party we kinda just drifted away. Then one day out of no where he sends me this video with no context. I watch it and like it but I think nothing more of it. Cut to now, it’s 1 at night and I was thinking about that tentacle pool music video and when I look it up I’m surprised to see that that the people who made that song (fantasy) also made this one. There really isn’t a moral to this story or a lesson. I just thought it was strange how life kinda loops around like that.

It is really up to you. What I get from it is that it depicts our existence in its purest, the search for love ( 0:50 ), and how it always slips our grasp ( 0:55 ) because perfect love is nonexistent, our endless persuasion of beauty and aestheticism, the times when we are happy ( 1:16 ) and the times when we are sad and forlorn and just want to cuddle up into a hole ( 1:30 ), yet in the end, we are but remnants in a lonely, lifeless desert ( 5:14 ). However you see it, it is truly beautiful...
I just post lyrics so I can sing along when I go to the song, not to show off knowing the lyrics. Run it like a blade down His face until Nothing remains In the picture Oh where it goes by Any old time Oh where it goes by (oh, hole) And oh it's like a new day Seas in silence We are dying slow off now In the flames until Nothing remains Nor the picture Oh where it goes by Any old time Oh where it goes by (oh, hole) Oh I swear on the future Out loud and I hate to fade alone Remain Nor the picture Oh where it goes by Any old time Oh where it goes by All in all is all we are
It's a brilliant song to my standards, you'll may find this intresting to see aswell. It's the meaning behind the song: A story about a corrupt couple who feel ashamed of themselves and do not know how to fix their relationship. Ending up with it tumbling down and realizing they’re not meant for each other. The name “Hole In Ocean” is an odd name. But the “Hole” represents something that’s wrong with a relationship between two people (in the story written by DyE). And the “Ocean” represents the swift and beautiful relationship itself before everything broke down, hence the name “Hole In Ocean”. See the lyric annotations to understand the full story between the couple. ( I'll have to admit that I'm quite the poet in some cases though, I probally wouldnt even have commented if that wasnt the case haha )
Maybe it's man beeing imprisonned by his idea of time and when he sees life dancing and progressing around him realises that it's more important. So forth the lyrics "life, it's all real"...?
I finally understood the final concept of the video. Kronos abdicated to be a Titan (God, I do not remember at the time) put fell in love with a woman. The one which in my view loves Kronos so great a form, that this love that both feel for each other forms a connection. Whose my interpretation made her feel the weight and the pain of him. Is the result of this shows the evolution of it in the video, becoming something like "mother nature," the human being as meat, something like, if you understand me? Kronos abdicated the weight of time by falling in love with a woman, the result of which was all the beauty that nature gives us today and "time" on its way to her. When it shows the coliseum, the walls separating the couple, represents all the bad things that this provided us humans. But then he shows the woman represented as a statue carved by the same men, proving that they are capable of doing beautiful things. I'm making this comment to read another time I'm not on palliative effects.
I think the meaning is: Don't let your passion get in the way of your love. He could've taken the chance of keeping her but threw her away. While she still wonders trying to find the right one but always is used instead of loved.
Video really suited the song, I thought it was the actual video till I read the description. The opera in the background was a bit odd but good work on the video.
Idk why but the progression of this video and its artworks reminds me of a psychadelic trip. This music and visuals seem like a great psychadelic experience
This to me, is a beautiful expression. It represents a longing for love, and the loss of oneself gradually to do so. The clock "running out" and the city forming from sand to represent man-made (or associated) obstacles in their desire to be with the one they love. Great art. True emotion.
why do people think because they can't understand something it therefore is impossible that it makes any sense. I'm sick of this shit. It's art. Its going to be a little abstract at the very least. There is an overwhelming amount of symbolism in this not to mention the very title Hole in the Ocean and the mythological implications of that. You could practically write a paper on this song its so loaded ffs. Just because you're some concrete thinking hands on chump doesn't mean you get to rob art of its value. We all take something different from it, just take whatever you can and assume that the rest simply wasn't meant for you, at least not today sorta thing.
This was made (well, like, him and Walt Disney) by Salvador Dali who made surrealism so things don’t make sense but they do, this was originally about a woman trying to make sense of love and feelings from what I know, but it is also said to have so much other implications, it’s amazing.
I remember I was OBSESSED with this video, specifically this one, several years ago. And no wonder, because this could well be the original music vid for this short film. It goes together with the vid so extremely well, even better than the original music does! This video is truly magical, but that isnt really even high praise for something made by two geniuses of visual arts. This is THE single best video to get high on acid to. Try it sometime, and write to me how it went, lol
***** Well, I never said I don't appreciate it and now I know this is art, I'm still a learning art student and I'm changing my perspective on seeing artworks like this, I like the video now, I may not know everything about art and I'll take that as an advice. But you don't need to sound offensive and call me kid, this was posted half a year ago, in case if you are wondering.
***** Dali and Disney....it just blows my mind that those two once collaborated, but then again if someone 10 years ago would tell me that Disney would own Marvel and Star Wars I'd laugh my ass off in disbelief.

However you see it, it is truly beautiful...
oH MY GOSH!Salvador Dali!!I enjoyed it a lot.
This is actualmy Destino a Dali and Disney animation! Awwwwsome
I just post lyrics so I can sing along when I go to the song, not to show off knowing the lyrics.
Run it like a blade down
His face until
Nothing remains
In the picture
Oh where it goes by
Any old time
Oh where it goes by (oh, hole)
And oh it's like a new day
Seas in silence
We are dying slow off now
In the flames until
Nothing remains
Nor the picture
Oh where it goes by
Any old time
Oh where it goes by (oh, hole)
Oh I swear on the future
Out loud and I hate to fade alone
Remain
Nor the picture
Oh where it goes by
Any old time
Oh where it goes by
All in all is all we are
Nice memory you ugly ass bitch
RYDAs MIND lol, idiot.
+CannaClarawrr You're the idiot.
RYDAs MIND xD Ok kiddo, whatever you say.
It's a brilliant song to my standards, you'll may find this intresting to see aswell. It's the meaning behind the song:
A story about a corrupt couple who feel ashamed of themselves and do not
know how to fix their relationship. Ending up with it tumbling down and
realizing they’re not meant for each other.
The name “Hole In Ocean” is an odd name. But the “Hole” represents
something that’s wrong with a relationship between two people (in the
story written by DyE). And the “Ocean” represents the swift and
beautiful relationship itself before everything broke down, hence the
name “Hole In Ocean”. See the lyric annotations to understand the full
story between the couple.
( I'll have to admit that I'm quite the poet in some cases though, I probally wouldnt even have commented if that wasnt the case haha )
IM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS AHHHH
Thank you so much for putting these two genius work of arts together...you are amazing!
I am not sure what this is but it is beautiful.
the song fits so perfectly with the video, mm absolutely beautiful
This has Dali written all over it!
this is by far the most surreal thing ive ever seen. and i love it.
Maybe it's man beeing imprisonned by his idea of time and when he sees life dancing and progressing around him realises that it's more important. So forth the lyrics "life, it's all real"...?
I think so too, now that I think about it. But DyE could have made it a tad more obvious.
Still it is placed very nicely.
Please ilumimate the other dye videos
The video and music go together amazingly
This was a collaboration between Disney and Dali. Was supposed to be in one of the fantasia's but didn't happen and was later released as an extra.
Such a great surrealism video and song! just amazing... feels great to hear this vibe
Correcting: this video is a Disney production. Only between 4:39 and 5:14 belongs to Salvador Dali.
+Renato Isaque His imagery was used throughout the entire sequence.
Nope, Disney's team made entire sequence based on a Story made by Salvador Dalí & John Hench
I stumbled upon a goldmine of heavenly art!
Two words; SALVADOR DALÍ
One word; RHINOCEROS
Two word : Painis Cupcake
It is just Dali's world. Ants coming from the hand xD Un chien Andalou
Salvador dali isnt a word its a name....
I love how each music video has different artworks. I love dye
THIS WAS INTERESTING
This is Sparta!
I think the meaning is:
Don't let your passion get in the way of your love. He could've taken the chance of keeping her but threw her away. While she still wonders trying to find the right one but always is used instead of loved.
Video really suited the song, I thought it was the actual video till I read the description. The opera in the background was a bit odd but good work on the video.
I love this so much I continue to watch it over and over again because I think it's just amazing and beautiful😊
At 3:25 my favorite part begin
Really beautiful !! I love it.
This is the type of song you want to listen to with your lover at night
Idk why but the progression of this video and its artworks reminds me of a psychadelic trip. This music and visuals seem like a great psychadelic experience
Dali was fucking crazy, but that was one of the many reasons he was so awesome
This to me, is a beautiful expression. It represents a longing for love, and the loss of oneself gradually to do so. The clock "running out" and the city forming from sand to represent man-made (or associated) obstacles in their desire to be with the one they love. Great art. True emotion.
yeah, definitely Dali's art haha didn't even need the description xD
Salvador Dalí was the master of surrealist art. Watching this takes me back to when we visited his museum in Monterey.
I love the message! ^_^
Do you mind telling me what's the message, cause I just got this really weird feeling going on and on...
Alejandro Valdez To understand the message, you need to see the original video, and to comprehend Dali , the artist who made this
Hamza Ben Thanks man. If you know by any chance, where could I find the original video, let me know please.
Just search for - Dali Destino - on youtube you'll find it first
Hamza Ben Found it. Thanks dude!
This video gives off such a strange emotion. The song plus video feels like a solid acid trip
This is some deep shit
Yep...
All these vids from DyE are so fascinating
why do people think because they can't understand something it therefore is impossible that it makes any sense.
I have Synesthesia... and this song makes me think of the most amazing things in the world...
Two Words: Salvador Dali
My God, so beautiful!
that was beautiful . :) ;(
The song is so nice and perfectly 💚
One Name : Dali
Definitely Dali influenced -- 3D video version!
Destino. It was a collaboration between Disney and Dali.
This video is actually a surrealist short film by Salvador Dali and Walt Disney called Destino, Just a little factoid.
Dye, you haven't ceased to amaze me.
"All in all is all we are", clear reference to all apologies
Destino is such a lovely animation
Such a good metaphor for global warming!
MrCrazy550 what?? hahahah
O-o both the music and video are beautiful imo. I love it!
At first I was like... OH! THIS MAKES SENSE! I get the symbolism- wait... wtf?
we are two of a kind. ~~ what the fuck its that symbol? omg, its all about Venus
I love how you mixed the song from Destino with Dye's tune, the original song feels incomplete without it
Well ive seen this during class, my teacher showed this, so... Is it a good thing or a bad thing? ⊙_⊙
RUN AS YOU CAN
Arnold Schwarzenswagger by RunAsYouCan you mean RUNA ASS YOU CAN XD or maybe Can your ass runs
KID, this is art, it took years to come up with this animation so you better appreciate it because art is not good or bad just different.
who sayed that its bad
***** Well, I never said I don't appreciate it and now I know this is art, I'm still a learning art student and I'm changing my perspective on seeing artworks like this, I like the video now, I may not know everything about art and I'll take that as an advice.
But you don't need to sound offensive and call me kid, this was posted half a year ago, in case if you are wondering.
The most beautiful video have never seen !
A E S T H E T I C S
No ass the thic
Thank you so much Sean, for introducing me to DyE
Isn't this the animation made by Walt Disney and Salvador Dali?
I'm pretty sure it is.
***** Dali and Disney....it just blows my mind that those two once collaborated, but then again if someone 10 years ago would tell me that Disney would own Marvel and Star Wars I'd laugh my ass off in disbelief.
This I a wonderfully well made video with a story so complex that I have yet to see it for my self. I love creative videos like this that have a tie into real human actions and emotions.
perfectly harmonized
0:53 1:14 2:44 3:26 3:52 4:51
Ok Dye has the best music videos..
