Spectrum Pulse did a good video about Katy Perry's album and how the outrage over it was a bunch of nonsense, you can't call Perry out for working with Dr Luke when loads of other artists also worked with him yet i'm not hearing a peep out of you calling them out for it. She has always been camp get over it. Woman's World, Texas Hold Em, Miami and Daddy I Love Him are all good songs you crazy. That godawful Chevrolet song should've been on this list.
@@ElliYeetYT true, BUT they were supposed to be here lmao, oversight on my part. Reduced the list from 25 to 20 and somehow that song got lost in the shuffle (Bad Guy would've been my pick)
Tom Macdonald and Ronnie Radke go hand in hand that I’m surprised they hadn’t had a collaboration yet. Truly a Worst Song of the Year contender if that ever happened.
The fact that Tom MacDonald still even has a career after being at this for so long is baffling, the fact the even the right haven't gotten sick of hearing the same song 100 times over will never not be shocking to me
No joke, I was at a bowling alley with my friend this year that not only played "U My Everything" all the way through, but actually cut off playing "Dilemma" by Green Day to play the Sexxy Red song. (They also ended up playing all of Drake's diss tracks except The Heart Part 6). Never been more revolted in a public space in my life.
That reminds me of when I was at an ice cream parlour in like 2016 and saw that “Love Me Again” by John Newman was up next on the screen, one of my favourite songs at the time (and probably still is up there tbh)… only for an employee to change it to some boring Led Zeppelin concert jam, and I’ve been biased against Zeppelin since 🫣

I remember saying in a previous Worst Of list of yours that I'd take the worst songs of any year you've covered over MAGA-themed music...and that stance hasn't changed. Guys like Tom Macdonald are so terrible that calling their music bad is an insult to bad music.
No joke...When I first heard "But Daddy I Love Him," I took it as Taylor being ironic to show her admission that, indeed, the "vipers" and "Sarahs and Hannahs" were 100% correct in hindsight. She's playing the part of a naive, melodramatic teenager to better illustrate that point. She was wrong, her critics were right. Imagine my shock when no other Swifty took it that way and Taylor seems dead serious (based on her performance of the song in some Eras tour videos I've seen).

I loved this video. A lot of skits and stuff is what makes your channel unique and fun! Also it’s interesting how much more country there’s been recently. Rap really has lost it’s thrown and you can tell because all the low effort artists are going country now
The only one I personally disagree with is Texas Hold Em, I actually really enjoy that song but to each their own. I haven’t heard a lot of bad music this year as I tried to avoid them, from I’ve heard from the clips of most of these, yeah they sound like pure cringe. But Daddy I Love Him was definitely the worst song on TTPD. That Sexxy Red song is bad, but that ain’t the worst song Drake was involved with to me, Wah Gwan Deliah with him and Snowd4y was CRINGE! Makes Hey There Deliah look like a masterpiece. 😆
Well everyone pray for Jon cause something tells he’s gonna piss off certain fan bases (you know who…) that are going to come after him with pitchforks and torches for talking smack about their favorite artist. And he’s gonna fight them off like he’s Jon Snow going up against that army in Game of Thrones 😂
I love how that snippet of Thick Of It is the only part of the song that I ever hear. I like to imagine that the whole song is just this looped over and over.
Canada used to send us awesome people like Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, and Michael J. Fox. Now they're sending us Tom McDonald and Steven Crowder. Do better, Canada!
I still have yet to do a deep dive on 2024 music, but going off what I've heard so far, here's my top 5: 5. "A Tear In Space (Airlock)" by Glass Animals - The way each note on the synthesizer sounds like it's just coming in and out so abruptly sounds like ass, and completely ruins the whole space vibe they're going for 4. "Two-Faced" by Linkin Park - This song is basically a copy of "One Step Closer", and it just feels wrong. They even had Emily do scream basically the same thing in the bridge as Chester did on "One Step Closer", which was already not the greatest addition to the original song. 3. "Brand New Dance" by Eminem - This song has what might be the worst beat I've ever heard in my entire life. 2. "I LUV IT" by Camila Cabello featuring Playboi Carti - Both vocalists sound terrible and the chorus is not only unbelievably annoying, but sounds awkwardly taped on. It sounds like just a single recording of Camila saying "I love it" being copied and pasted over and over again. 1. "Come To Brazil" by The Offspring - Actually racist and one of the most distasteful things I've ever heard. Very disappointing that this band would stoop this low.
I'm glad to say that I have only heard one of those songs. I thank you for putting yourself through this so I don't have to. More power to you and I hope you go from strength to strength.
As much as I normally love your videos... I love this one, too. You don't know how much I needed the laughs! I do have quibbles with one entry in particular. While "Texas Hold 'em" may not be the strongest track on "Cowboy Carter," it's hard to see Beyonce on the same worst list as Jojo Siwa and Tom MacDonald. Otherwise, everything else here belongs. WTF, Jon Bon Jovi? WTF, Cardi B? And OMFG, Kanye and Katy need to stop already. How much more flopping can they possibly give us? We got so much great music in 2024, and that's why it's so hard to listen to the bad stuff we got this year. We know Taylor Swift is capable of making good music. But my gawd, TTPD was... something else. I still have dreams/nightmares over the "Fortnight" and the title track, but "But Daddy I Love Him" is another one that's so strange. With that, I'll happily listen to the entire TTPD ultra-deluxe double album over anything from that crybaby rocker guy who cosplays as a tough guy yet throws temper tantrum whenever anyone gives any of his songs negative reviews.
Sooner or later, Katy Perry and/or Taylor Swift will be doing a duet with Skillet just to show that they're "activism" was always little more than performative, maybe mashing up both Skillet's and Taylor's White Horse songs to create an unholy abomination of a song that will be unpopular with even their fanbases. (Puns very much intended.)
This was such a great return to Year-End worst songs list Jon! The skits and commentary were so damn entertaining and outsid of a few songs I actually liked or never heard of before, I pretty much agree with every pick here! Great vid!
the funny thing about comparing JoJo Siwa to Miley Cyrus is that "Karma" was intended to be a Miley song, but she was still under Disney control at the time, and they told her "absolutely not".
My problem with the song Unpopular by Skillet is that the intro melody of it sounds like it's a rip off of the intro melody from Lost In A Wave by the band LANDMVRKS.
About the ADTR one: they actually did initially bounce back from You're Welcome with a huge banger, Miracle. It's got a solid riff, a big chorus, and TWO breakdowns, so a lot of people were hoping they were coming back around. Of course, Feedback killed all that hype soon after
Taylor Swift has the record of choosing the worst singles. But, But Daddy I Love Him is an amazing song! Katy Perry's comeback was simply embarrassing, and I'm trying to forget whatever Jojo Siwa was doing.
Katy Perry’s song gives me the same vibes as “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten. Souless virtue signalling that’s just listing empty platitudes but actually saying nothing. And nobody’s buying it. The true feminine badassery is the great year stars like Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Taylor Swift had.
2:08 Nahhh 💀 All jokes aside, dude has a very shady history with teen girls, including Beyonce being 16-18 while he was in his 30s, among other things. Not saying he did it, just putting that out there.
I'll be honest, I'm a bit surprised that no Linkin Park song made your list or dishonorable mentions, considering just how much of a thrashing you gave to From Zero.
Why do you still listen to those new Skillet tracks?😅😅 I get them in my recommendation, see the new album is titled Revolution/Rebellion/Resistance (not even sure which one it was😅😂) and I go NO THANK YOU😂😂😂
Lol Tom MacDonald and 6ix9ine are the only two artists to have placed number one on two separate worst songs of the year list for all of their songs they released that year
The downfall of Glass Animals is genuinely so depressing, How to be a Human was such a good album but everything they’ve done since feels so watered down
I work in a record store, Taylor's new album was played over the speakers on loop for a few hours as soon as it was released...also, in Australia we weren't allowed to put the album on the shelves until 2pm because it had to go out at exactly the same time worldwide which is so silly...but back to the album...musically, it has no pulse. I didn't mind Midnights, that had a few songs that I thought were pretty decent pop tunes, but Tortured Poets is a snooze fest that's only really of interest if you're more interested in the minute details of Taylor's love life than you are in your own life. It's a hit because she's that big of a star that she doesn't need to put in the effort anymore, and I don't think she did put much effort in to this despite the 31 songs. It's a bit like that album that Van Morrison made when he owed the record label X number of songs and so he just went into the studio and crapped out the first however many songs he needed and they released it...except that has some funny moments as he wasn't taking it seriously (if only we could say the same about his anti-vax work). I've seen what's happening with Taylor happen to so many artists. I call it Paul McCartney syndrome. It's when an artist is that big, that popular and that beloved that it's really hard for a producer to say "hey, maybe this material isn't quite good enough" or "maybe you should re-write that verse", that sort of thing. They've had that many hits, they've proven people wrong so many times that there's no way of convincing them that they aren't creating gold when they're barely scratching aluminium. It happens, it doesn't mean that they'll never make career defining music ever again, but you'll have to sit through a few bad albums in between.
Tom MacDonald reminds me of modern Skillet, except Skillet used to make really good music and albums that got me through a lot growing up. Sad to see the frontman get washed like that by culture war brainrot. The Tom MacDonald grift is even funnier when you realize he's Canadian of all things.
I get why you'd say that, but FIR not making the list was a complete accident/oversight. Originally I was gonna do a Top 25, cut it to 20, somehow "Bad Guy" by FIR got lost in the shuffle :(
My top 10 worst hit songs of 2024: 10. (controversial pick, Ik) APT by Bruno Mars and Rosé 9. But Daddy, I Love Him by Taylor Swift 8. Fried and Field Trip by Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign 7. Woman's World by Katy Perry 6. Facts by Tom Macdonald ft. Ben Shapiro 5. Think U the Shit (Fart) by Ice Spice 4. I Luv It by Camila Cabello ft. Playboi Carti 3. Thick of It by KSI 2. U My Everything by Sexxy Red ft. Drake 1. Bigfoot by Nicki Minaj
Its insane how for all the great music we had this year, and there was a lot of it, we still have some of the worst music yet, and by people who really shouldn't be making music.
This comment was made before the premiere: I had forgotten about that song until I saw Tom Macdonald on the thumbnail. If it’s not the song I’m thinking it’ll be, I’m kinda curious as to what song he could’ve possibly put out that was worse
Honestly, if Thick of It had a different beat, different melody, diffrrent lyrics, different artist, different title, different feat, different music video and was shorter it would be tolerable.
The Lunchly & MGK bits were great 😂😂 Miraculously, I hadn't heard of 1-3; 5; 7-8; 10-12; 16-17 and 19 until this video. That means I have only heard 8 songs on this list, of which, I only heard 1 in full (a new record for me). My thoughts on the songs from this list 20: Meh, it's background music at worst. I don't hate this as much as other songs on this list 19: I actually liked Heat Waves but this was bad. *_WAY_* too slow imo! 18: Agreed! Brit's Version is *SUPERIOR!* 17: If this trash is so low, I'm scared for the higher songs on this list, ngl 😨 16: Genuinely could've gone my whole life without hearing this 15: Yeah, Kanye (Ye is a dumb name so I'm not calling him that) genuinely made this song worse. Only the chorus goes hype, imo 14. I will keep reiterating that Katy should've brought back *BONNIE MCKEE* not Dr. Puke! Teenage Dream was Bonnie's vision and you can clearly see it on her album, Hot City 13. Ugh, yes! Easily the *WORST* song on TTPD (anthology & standard edition included) and I quite frankly don't understand what Taylor saw in Ratty Healy 12. Yeah, that's gonna be a no from me. This and 17 should be switched bc that is a worse version of this song 😂😅 11. Who greenlit this collab?! This should be higher! Yuck 🤮 10. Only good Skillet song is Hero and I will stand by that. This is bad 9. Genuinely didn't understand why he didn't just stick to boxing this year 8. Could've gone my whole life without hearing this! Very grateful that I have her blocked on Spotify 7. Haven't heard much of their music so no opinion on this 6. I knew this song was gonna be on the list after seeing your reaction to it earlier this year. Deserves to be here 5. Not into country but this is just bad. Wish I hadn't heard this 4. Knew this was gonna be on here after seeing your reaction to the entire album earlier in the year. Deserves to be here as it's a discount Charli XCX song 3. Makes me glad I have both blocked on Spotify 2. Ugh, this is why I have Jax blocked on Spotify 1. Never heard of this man till this video & now angry that I now know of his existence 🤮
I'm so glad that I haven't heard the majority of songs on this list. Also glad to see Texas Hold Em on this list. I don't mind Beyonce trying to do a country album, but I do mind her making a bad album that people just signed off on and called great just because it was Bey
Its crazy to think that you introduced me to heart attack man back in your best songs of 2019 video, and now they're my favorite band. I even saw them with microwave early in the year. So shout out to you man thanks for that.
Texas Hold 'Em is the only Beyonce song that I can tolerate. That's not high praise as I really don't care for her music and I'm already sick of it having never gone out of my way to listen to it. It sounds more authentically country to me than most modern country, so I give her credit there. She managed to get through the song without doing too many vocal acrobatics and just sang. The lyrics are pretty much what you'd expect from a Beyonce song except with added Texan imagery. I don't like it, but I don't hate it.

You put SOOOOO MUCCI LOVE into this video!!! Happy happy new year to you, neighbor!!! Looking forward to your 2025!
Cheers Dave, means a lot. Much love neighbor 🍻
Great vid!
70% i have never heard before, and that's a good thing :)
60% for me and same!
the funny thing about comparing JoJo Siwa to Miley Cyrus is that "Karma" was intended to be a Miley song, but she was still under Disney control at the time, and they told her "absolutely not".
That's why I made the joke!
I deadass forgot Jojo Siwa even existed 💀
My problem with the song Unpopular by Skillet is that the intro melody of it sounds like it's a rip off of the intro melody from Lost In A Wave by the band LANDMVRKS.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: no combination of Canadian, half-Jewish, half-Black, rapper has ever or will ever make sense.
I remember what Crash said on that one coliseum about how Hardy is “we have Kid Rock at home” and I couldn’t have said it better myself
About the ADTR one: they actually did initially bounce back from You're Welcome with a huge banger, Miracle. It's got a solid riff, a big chorus, and TWO breakdowns, so a lot of people were hoping they were coming back around.
Of course, Feedback killed all that hype soon after
As soon as I learned of that Tom MacDonald song's EXISTENCE, I knew it was gonna end up on this list somewhere.
2:08
Nahhh 💀
All jokes aside, dude has a very shady history with teen girls, including Beyonce being 16-18 while he was in his 30s, among other things.
Not saying he did it, just putting that out there.
Yeah, Jay-Z absolutely gives me the ick 🤮🤮
I can’t believe Big Foot wasn’t on here, even considering just the part where Nicki Minaj rants for another two minutes after the beat cuts off.
Great job!
FIR not being on here is shocking
I'll be honest, I'm a bit surprised that no Linkin Park song made your list or dishonorable mentions, considering just how much of a thrashing you gave to From Zero.
Adding one now
Yeah, the new stuff 100% deserves to be in the dishonorable mentions & in the worst album of the year list imo
Why do you still listen to those new Skillet tracks?😅😅 I get them in my recommendation, see the new album is titled Revolution/Rebellion/Resistance (not even sure which one it was😅😂) and I go NO THANK YOU😂😂😂
People send them in on stream 😭
I disagree about including that Taylor Swift song but it's your list after all...
The worst it got the more I died inside of how horrible these songs were. Tom McDonald was atrocius!
Lol Tom MacDonald and 6ix9ine are the only two artists to have placed number one on two separate worst songs of the year list for all of their songs they released that year
The downfall of Glass Animals is genuinely so depressing, How to be a Human was such a good album but everything they’ve done since feels so watered down
I wonder how many falling in reverse songs are going to be there 😂
My guess is he’s doing one entry per band just so that album doesn’t dominate his list
I was just thinking about how much I missed these Worst Songs videos!! Thank you so much for making my day!!
🙏🖤
Daaaaamn! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Awesome Skillet... 'roast'. 😂
Where is "all my life" ? You know those songs are bad when ronnie radke isnt here...
You can tell Tom MacDonald's a transphobe the way he ONLY HAS ONE JOKE. AND IT SUCKS. AND WE HEARD IT ON THE PLAYGROUND BEFORE HE EVEN HAD A CAREER
Tom MacDonald reminds me of modern Skillet, except Skillet used to make really good music and albums that got me through a lot growing up. Sad to see the frontman get washed like that by culture war brainrot.
The Tom MacDonald grift is even funnier when you realize he's Canadian of all things.
Im not embarrassed to admit how much i laughed watching this video
This year saw Trey Songz and Justin Timberlake fall, while Katy Perry and Diddy came to an end.
TEXAS HOLD ‘EM was definitely not great, but it wasn’t so bad that it should’ve kept Falling In Reverse off the list
I get why you'd say that, but FIR not making the list was a complete accident/oversight. Originally I was gonna do a Top 25, cut it to 20, somehow "Bad Guy" by FIR got lost in the shuffle :(
Zoologist and middle school science teacher. Thats awesome.
My top 10 worst hit songs of 2024:
10. (controversial pick, Ik) APT by Bruno Mars and Rosé
9. But Daddy, I Love Him by Taylor Swift
8. Fried and Field Trip by Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign
7. Woman's World by Katy Perry
6. Facts by Tom Macdonald ft. Ben Shapiro
5. Think U the Shit (Fart) by Ice Spice
4. I Luv It by Camila Cabello ft. Playboi Carti
3. Thick of It by KSI
2. U My Everything by Sexxy Red ft. Drake
1. Bigfoot by Nicki Minaj
Aint no way the movie Zombieland is getting slandered like this 😭
That HSN portion KILLED me 😂
Me while watching this video: "I can't believe this collaboration was a thing in 2024"
waslooking forward your end of list! Gotta say your bit talking about Eyes closed by imagine dragons made me laugh out loud....what a shit song
Not the Taylor song being the 13. on this list
2024 Truly one of the years
Tom Macdonald should be disqualified from these lists as it isnt music and isnt a hit.
It is unfortunately a hit. All of the MVs have millions and millions of views just RUclips alone
Its insane how for all the great music we had this year, and there was a lot of it, we still have some of the worst music yet, and by people who really shouldn't be making music.
Trippe redd used to be good in like 2017 - 2018 then he fell off
This comment was made before the premiere: I had forgotten about that song until I saw Tom Macdonald on the thumbnail.
Great list! I'm too used to the old intro so the new one had me shook
The Lunchly & MGK bits were great 😂😂
Miraculously, I hadn't heard of 1-3; 5; 7-8; 10-12; 16-17 and 19 until this video. That means I have only heard 8 songs on this list, of which, I only heard 1 in full (a new record for me).
My thoughts on the songs from this list
20: Meh, it's background music at worst. I don't hate this as much as other songs on this list
19: I actually liked Heat Waves but this was bad. *_WAY_* too slow imo!
18: Agreed! Brit's Version is *SUPERIOR!*
17: If this trash is so low, I'm scared for the higher songs on this list, ngl 😨
16: Genuinely could've gone my whole life without hearing this
15: Yeah, Kanye (Ye is a dumb name so I'm not calling him that) genuinely made this song worse. Only the chorus goes hype, imo
14. I will keep reiterating that Katy should've brought back *BONNIE MCKEE* not Dr. Puke! Teenage Dream was Bonnie's vision and you can clearly see it on her album, Hot City
13. Ugh, yes! Easily the *WORST* song on TTPD (anthology & standard edition included) and I quite frankly don't understand what Taylor saw in Ratty Healy
12. Yeah, that's gonna be a no from me. This and 17 should be switched bc that is a worse version of this song 😂😅
11. Who greenlit this collab?! This should be higher! Yuck 🤮
10. Only good Skillet song is Hero and I will stand by that. This is bad
9. Genuinely didn't understand why he didn't just stick to boxing this year
8. Could've gone my whole life without hearing this! Very grateful that I have her blocked on Spotify
7. Haven't heard much of their music so no opinion on this
6. I knew this song was gonna be on the list after seeing your reaction to it earlier this year. Deserves to be here
5. Not into country but this is just bad. Wish I hadn't heard this
4. Knew this was gonna be on here after seeing your reaction to the entire album earlier in the year. Deserves to be here as it's a discount Charli XCX song
3. Makes me glad I have both blocked on Spotify
2. Ugh, this is why I have Jax blocked on Spotify
I love how you can feel the hate for this songs XD your lists never dissapoint Jon
Its crazy to think that you introduced me to heart attack man back in your best songs of 2019 video, and now they're my favorite band. I even saw them with microwave early in the year. So shout out to you man thanks for that.
Whoa, that’s fucking awesome! Great bands, I’ve met both of them good people too
Bro time travel sounds like them trying to be a discount Eminem
19:22 haven't revisited that album since the release of it and you just made me remember one of the worst songs i've heard in quite a while
I always wait for this time of the year just to watch your end of the year lists. Love them
Texas Hold 'Em is the only Beyonce song that I can tolerate.
