I don’t understand why this channel doesn’t have 300K - 500k subscribers!!!!!!!🤔. It has everything… great content, quality video, great personality and super good rebuilds… let’s forward these videos..! There’s garbage channels with tons of viewers.. just vexes me!
Great price! As an owner of a nearly identical car (besides color) your channel (particularly, unfortunately, the timing chain tutorial) is becoming very helpful. Anytime you do work on this keep sharing! I’ll watch and learn
Another excellent video. FWIW, a few folks have cut an exhaust outlet into the single exhaust valance when going to a dual exhaust system. Yes it's a bubba approach, but as you found out finding GXP exhaust valances has become difficult. Another option is NormsFiberglass who offers a few different fiberglass exhaust valances. Though he is known to take awhile to finish projects due to be a small operation, and he amount of orders he receives. Regardless, looks great.
Great video. I have repaired several salvage vehicles and what irritates me the most is the public and now insurance companies perception of repaired vehicles. Especially older cars where the actual damage required to total them is less than a new one. I can't sell one I have for the life of me, even if I lower the price below my cost.
The whole world of rebuilds has changed in the last few years. We used to be able to buy a salvage title car, buy OEM parts, fix it up, and sell it and still make “decent” money. Nowadays we hope to break even.
I bought my daughter a super clean Sky for her first car.. I’m giving it to her next Friday🤫 I’ve been a watching this channel for a few years and have learned a lot from the channel and the SKY-Solstice. Also what’s your member info on the forum…? I’m a member there too.
bad idea. give a cheap car, that is cheap to fix, reliable, and already has a bunch of dents on it. Keep the sky for yourself, and keep it in the garage.
Wow, that's a long build for you. I can understand putting that rebuild into one video. In the end you saved another beautiful car that was worth the time and effort. The Solstice keeps going up in price especially the GXPs so I think you'll do okay with it.
Thanks! It kinda just got worked on between other projects. Which made it more difficult to remember where I was at in the process but it came together nicely at the end!
Is my 07 solstice a goner ? My driver side control arm feels like it’s loose and turns a lot when I turn to the left and not to mention I crashed into a curb hydroplaning and ruined the back driver tie rod as well and possibly broke something else
I like both fast and slow rebuild videos. Both have their place. Great video, I think you can make a few bucks. With 74k miles was the Cat & Tubo harder to get off than the tutorial?
@@rebuildit just thought with more miles on car maybe the cat bolts were harder to get off. I remember the tutorial car only had around 23k. No worries though. 😄
If I remember correctly, the muffler was pushed forward when the bumper was hit and caused the exhaust pipe to vibrate against the undercarriage. I think I pulled it back out with a hoist.
@@rebuildit thank you so much. Mines rattling a little and just bought it. I'll check to see if the hangars are allowing the exhaust to sway into the bumper! Love the video!
It got copyrighted for a song we’ve been using for years. Apparently artists can throw a copyright on a song that they marketed as royalty free for RUclipsrs, 5 years after they released it.
I paid $200 for mine and I'm not going to spend $5,000 on parts when all it needs is a door and a fender and a bumper and maybe replace the top that's less than $1,000 where I'm at

We’d love to have tons of subs, and it may happen someday! Just share us with your friends! Thanks for watching 😁
I really do… and you will get there!!! 👌🏾💎🔥😎

Glad to hear it’s been helpful! Thanks for watching!
I came here to share this sentiment please keep posting, I’m modding my gxp and these videos help!
what ya doin to it?

As always... A very nice car in the end.
Thank you!

Thank you sir! Good information.

@@TheRogerhill1234 8 months later, no dents and 5k miles later she’s smiling every time she drives it.
AND I enjoy it too!😂 WIN WIN..
Impressively nice work. You brought junk back to life at a cheap price. Video was excellent all in one 33 minute roll.
Thank you!

The Solstice Coupe took us almost a year too. Something about these solstice projects takes forever 🤔
Rear dual exhaust valance available in fiberglass from R K SPORT.
Hi Mark they say all good things take time, in this case it took over a year but it looks awesome as always
Thanks! It kinda just got worked on between other projects. Which made it more difficult to remember where I was at in the process but it came together nicely at the end!
This is perfect, just picked up a gxp myself that is pretty beat up😅
A Pontiac Solstice is legit my favorite car, so seeing it trashed like that made me feel so sad 😭 But I thank you for restoring it 😤🗿🔥
If you like solstice rebuilds, check out our playlists, we’ve done 5 different Solstices before this one!
By the way, I would like to see a video on removing the convertible top and repairing. :)
We did a video on restoring a convertible top a few years back: ruclips.net/video/x6Zl9vhbny4/видео.html
In this case, gotta ask: Where's the "Thanks!" button?
A comment always works great!
Very sharp car! Only thing I see wrong is cops love red haha. Good thing she is quick!
That’s what the turbo’s for, right?
Gods work!

I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking. The tutorial was done on this car.
@@rebuildit just thought with more miles on car maybe the cat bolts were harder to get off. I remember the tutorial car only had around 23k. No worries though. 😄
This is the car we did the timing chain tutorial on. Maybe I said wrong mileage on tutorial?
@@rebuildit oh gotcha. Thought it was the yellow one. Thank you
We used the yellow one on the thumbnail cause we knew it would get more visibility
how did you fix the messed up contact paper stuff on the trunk lid where the convertible top fastens?
I didn’t, but I did find some replacement ones on eBay when I was thinking about replacing the old ones.
Just a question, I have an 07 gxp. How did you fix the exhaust rattle?
If I remember correctly, the muffler was pushed forward when the bumper was hit and caused the exhaust pipe to vibrate against the undercarriage. I think I pulled it back out with a hoist.
@@rebuildit thank you so much. Mines rattling a little and just bought it. I'll check to see if the hangars are allowing the exhaust to sway into the bumper! Love the video!
why did you have to reupload this video

Easily 11k cars in the near future

👍🏻
Sold as is ? Trash Included ? lol
Trash is extra, since we’d have to dig back through and find it.
