I first went to Skagway in 1972! There was no official road, but people drove between there and Carcross anyway! Wild times! I lived 2 years in Whitehorse at that time and have been back a few times since. Thanks for the views! 👍😎🇨🇦🩵
It always blows my mind looking at pictures of what those crazy bastards accomplished way back when. Most of that digging and construction on the side of that mountain was done by hand 🤯🤯🤯. Very cool history!!
@@mikemcphaden80 insane right ? I think the same thing... Even some of the roads that were built way up north through Alaska and the Yukon during WW2... The Alaska hwy was built in only 8 frikken months 🤯 there's some old documentary footage on RUclips of them building it with old jeeps half stuck in the mud and guys swinging pick axes around😂
I miss you 3 so much! It was amazing spending time and sharing road-life stories. I think the only thing one can buy in Skagway is Jewelry? Smooth sailing and till next time!
Hey - I managed to get out to A Place On Earth and I took a new set of guitar strings, and I replaced the busted up tuners too. I owe it to you 3 for finding it. I love watching your adventures. So incredibly inspiring and entertaining. All the best.
@@pthomas36 that's awesome, what a cool place. Would love to get back there whenever we're on the island again. Very kind of you to swap the strings/tuners. Now it's at least play-able 😅 Thank you for the kind words. Cheers !
Great video guys! Can't believe we missed you in Haines by just a couple of days. We left Haines on August 9th. Our paths will cross one of these days. Can't wait to see the next one!
I commented a few videos back that we were going to travel the Northwest Passage. I was wrong. It was the Inside Passage. It was a two week Alaska adventure though Southeast Alaska. It was amazing
@@Climbingdude isn't it incredible ! We'd love to do the whole route one day. Glad to hear you had an awesome experience. All the best in your future adventures!
@@mikemcphaden80 from what I understand there are regular plugs he was able to trickle charge off of at Eagle Plains (halfway point), but I believe he had the wrong adapter and was stuck there for 4 days waiting for a full charge 😂 I think they now have EV stations in Inuvik as of this year but that's still a significant distance from the start of the Dempster.
Hi! Thank you for checking in! We have been working on our next video while visiting family in Ontario for the last few weeks! Check back tomorrow there will be a new video! Cheers :)
Can’t wait to hit the road and see more of SE Alaska and SW Canada!
@@NickBoris1 hope to see ya out there pal!

It's a good idea to check the regulations on which foods you can't take across any border, seems to change all the time.
@@MrYoup11 Very true! We crossed into Alaska 3 times this summer and this was the only time they asked about food products!
