- We’ve been dreaming of this day for years, and now it's finally here-driving the Dempster Highway, North America’s most dangerous and wildest road. This epic 880-kilometer journey took us from Dawson City to Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean, through some of the most breathtaking, rugged, and challenging landscapes imaginable.
Join us as we tackle the shifting permafrost, cross arctic rivers, and camp next to pristine wilderness. But it wasn’t all smooth sailing-Willy, our Defender, faced his own challenges along the way. From unexpected breakdowns to windshield mishaps, the Dempster kept us on our toes. Yet through the trials, the remote beauty of Tombstone Territorial Park and the thrill of reaching the Arctic Circle made it all worth it.
Highlights:
Willy’s Struggles: When our Defender wouldn’t start-twice!-we had no idea if we’d make it on one of the wildest roads in North America.
Crossing the Arctic Circle: From breathtaking fall colors in Tombstone Park to the sense of achievement at crossing into the Arctic-this road gave us moments we’ll never forget.
Tuktoyaktuk’s Arctic Ocean: After miles of mud, rain, and rugged wilderness, we dipped our toes into the Arctic Ocean-marking the beginning of our journey south.
Come along as we navigate one of the most remote roads in the world, meet new friends, and take our first icy plunge in the Arctic Ocean. The adventure doesn’t stop here-this is only the beginning of our Pan-American Highway journey!
Conquering? No. …Roving, Yes.
We enjoyed it very much :-) Thanks for watching!
Beautiful videos, do enjoy the music and the commentaries - thanks for sharing, your defender engine start battery is getting affected by the cold weather for sure, do a cranking test wen you can, as it might drooped a cell
Thanks for watching and your comment! We just changed our battery today, i think she was to old, but willy starts now at the first climpse :-)
@@fluriadventures your very welcome I'm glad to hear Willy starts sweet ans is efficient again, if you wanna learn about defenders go and check this channel up this fellas are from Canada and just arrived to Africa 10 hours ago and they bough 4 defenders and are going for amazing over-landing trip check it out I do recommend as they are very competent and amazing mechanics, their channel is called DEBOSS GARAGE
Incredible Footage 🔝🔝🔝 The combination of breathtaking landscapes, impressive baking skills, and the adorable moments with your dog is just perfect. I love how you’ve captured not just the beauty of the places, but also the heartwarming story behind the journey!
North America's most dangerous road? Not even the Yukon's most dangerous road.
I know what you mean! There are definitely more dangerous roads in the Yukon. However, considering the remoteness and the fast-changing weather, we’ve encountered a few flipped trailers and damaged RVs along the way, so it can still be quite challenging!
WOW! I could truly smell the bread, brownies, and chocolate cake; all three looked that delicious! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot! Oh, this stuff is addictive! :-) It’s so good, and when you make it yourself, it’s even better!
I so want to do that trip, maybe someday I can talk some friends into going with me...I do not want to go it alone!
Oh, that would be great! It’s definitely worth it, especially in a season like fall!
Now I know why the climate is going crazy. You both raised the temperature of the Arctic Ocean! Very beautiful and relaxing video! If you ever visit Poland, my Bella and Nacho can work on excavations together. We can start some business 😂
Haha, thanks a lot! And no, we didn’t raise the temperature by peeing inside, I promise! 😂 Thanks for the invitation -I’m sure they’d make a great team in business…
We loved this video! You have captured extraordinary and spectacular images of the Dempster’s unique geology and weather systems. The drone vistas are stunning! The food looks and smells amazing! The commentary adds just the right amount of info, humour and description! So well done! We will be looking forward to your new videos on Sundays and will be following your PanAmerican journey with great interest. Safe travels to new friends.
Cheers, B+F.

Thanks Mate!
Another beautiful video guys! Thanks for sharing :) Where you able to figure out what the start battery issue was?
Thanks a lot! Yes, we think it’s the temperature combined with the age of the battery. We just changed it today, so we’ll see in the next few days if it happens again.
Beautiful drone footage and pictures, thanks and enjoy!
Thanks a lot! Have a great day!
Beautiful images and video! We can see you put a lot of time making them!
Thanks a lot, Christian! We enjoy making them, but yes, it’s a lot of work and passion. :-)
Marvelous ❤ can we have the recipe for the brownie please?
