- I try a different way of video logging. This a more longer and more behind the scenes than my previous videos. I install the trackspec motorsports hood and fender vents to see if it increases the cooling of the car.

Just so you know, you installed them incorrectly. The front and rear undersleeve of the hood louvers goes over the hood, sandwiching the fiberglass hood!!! There is no cutting slots to fit, but rather just the outline the cutout template and cut around.
If you are practical, take off the LS2 engine covers... they hold a ton of heat in and those wires under them are baking like in an oven.. your modified hood will do the rest to expel the heat. Nice job. You have balls of steel, young man, and it was fun to see someone enjoy a project. I have a 2012 GS with a Vortech SC, full headers, blower cam, and good tune, and the 345's in the rear want to break loose at most any speed.. enjoy your ride!
Hey thank you for your kind words it made my night and thanks for this tip and I didn’t even think about that at all.Your GS sounds like it’s a beast and I bet your car appreciates having an owner like you!
You got bigger balls than I do to be cutting into a C6 hood. Kudos to you for making the choice to play Doctor on your car. Not something I’d tackle.
Wow you're brave man. I really like watching all your videos *****
Looks sick!🔥
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Enjoyed much of your video man *****
Badass just ordered them for my C6. had them on my C5Z
What a beautiful results after a hard work! You got that energy, patience & determination to do such transformation. You rock it kh3mist!!!! *****
Seems like it was a lot of work but I really enjoyed your video! And it turned out pretty nice. You’re braver than me! My Man! 👏🏿
Thank you Ray! Comments like these keep me going! Have a blessed day 🙌🏽
@@Kh3mist_ Fosho! 👏🏿
Wow 😳!!!!! You encouraged me to look & buy C6 corvette. The show is very informative. Thank you Kh3mist.👍
Beautiful after shots. What road is that. Ima body color my louvers
Have you noticed a different with engine temps? Any water fling from the bump vents?
I work on aircraft for the Air Force and I’m very familiar with using a cutting wheel on parts that range from tens of thousands to multi million dollars in value. I’d be nervous myself if I was cutting into a vette hood way more than any aircraft part. Blood pressure raised just watching this. Not a perfect job but pretty good considering it’s not your specialty.
Thank you man! 🙌🏽 It definitely isn’t my specialty 🤣.
Your underated and funny ima sub
Thank you! 🤣
I would have trimmed the ridges under the vent down away from the edge the edge. Even a 1/4” would help prevent possibly having your cut show.
Hell yeah Klaus 😍
Yesssir Mr. Jerm 🙏🏼
Good job.
Nice job
Thank you!
That front airdam cuts half your cooling away just saying ask me how I know😊
Dude if its overheating best solution is a bigger Aloyradiator and Engine Ice Coolant thats what i did on my stock c6.. 2006...but i replaced that junk aloy radiatorsupportbar, built my own with kuffs from Steel, welded and screwed it on the frame. 👍
I agree a upgraded radiator will definitely be a mod that I will do!
@@Kh3mist_ I am a expert on c4, c6.
So i know all their flaws.. I owned both. 🤔🇺🇲Vettes are beautiful and got great V8Engines, but the rest can't compete with German or Italian premium sportcars, its like a Bodybuilder with skinny Legs.. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Kh3mist_ yes, but coils are a must if want race it, that Leafsprings
are Lethal, they can't hold the vettes power in curves.. Procharger kit is another awesome mod. 👍🇺🇲
did you otice better downforce
Those sharp corners are going to crack. Should have rounded all of the off.
Yeah I agree. Should have also got some high grit sandpaper and really smoothed out all the corners and edges by hand sanding.
Where did you buy the kit from
I bought them from track spec Motorsports! trackspecmotorsports.com
But Nice Moods anyway. 👍🇺🇸
I'm just wondering if the integrity of the hood and the fenders are going to be affected at speed they're going to be vibrating like crazy
I’ve been at 135-140mph multiple times, and there’s hasn’t been any audible/visual signs of them flexing or ripping off. I guess the only downside so far is the small rocks coming up through the fenders and hitting the side mirrors. Thanks for watching!
@@Kh3mist_ Buy some fine screen mesh and put it under your fender vents, rock issue solved.
@@steveorules3972 that’s a really good idea!
Looks cool but this is a terrible idea to do as a street car/daily. A circuit track is not full of rocks that will fling through the fenders like roads do. Then rain flinging and electrical shit getting more wet. For a track car hell yeah but to each their own. Love the color!
Uh......The transmission is way way way in the back so how in the hell with cutting the hood and the front fenders change that any? I’ll wait.
lol that is what I was thinking also.
I bet since he has an automatic, there’s a cooler that’s mounted with the front radiator like automatics typically have. Since air is now able to move out of the bay, all the radiators on the front end are running cooler. Thus, the transmission temps are cooler. Just my guess.
You cut thru the hood support and didn't give it a new one
I did! And it’s honestly stronger than before with the that one the middle, whereas before if I lifted from one corner, the hood would flex much more than it did after this.
There goes any resale value!!
True! This is not a good idea If you plan on reselling it! 🤣I’m planning to keep this as long as possible though!
I don't buy my cars for the next guy.
looks good but hell no, i don't have a garage so this is out of the question
No,no, no. Water and dirt will fly thru the wheel well now
