Even though Gandolfini has been hailed on the days after his death, it's still important to remember what an extremely underrated actor he was. He is without a doubt right up there with Pacino, Hanks, Brando. He will always be among the greatest ever!
The truly incredible part is throughout his life, the only person that wasn't ever amazed at the type of actor, friend and person that James Gandolfini was...was James Gandolfini. He was just being himself which was a gem of a human. RIP Jim - you were truly a Boss in every sense of the word.
jimmy you will always be missed....you have no idea how real you made the series for all of us, more importantly hope great of a man you were to others....I hope where ever you are looking down on all of us.you can smile because your accomplishments were amazing and you will be dearly missed. miss you james.
I thought Travolta was outstanding in 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Face Off'. I don't know who won the Oscars in those years, but both performances were good enough to win in many years
Yes James Gandolfini was not only a great actor but a great humanaterian A man whole had a great heart being a Jersey guy myself He put Jersey on the map He will never be forgotten My heart and prayers go out to his son and wife
He's not a terrible actor by any standards man!! So many great roles... Yes, James was a great actor...but that doesn't mean you shall ridicule Travolta.
James Gandolfini...sir...humble beginnings, sir, you've shined to relate to our hearts...God bless you and I know you're resting in peace. Michael Jackson died...but I didn't know how much I'd felt for Mr. Gandolfini until he passed away...I've shed more tears than I did for the King of Pop.... it is what it is.
I was wondering about that. Travolta seems to be passionate about the film’s message… too bad it wasn’t a bigger release. But a big budget and studio support aren’t what makes a “real” movie. With less expensive video technology and streaming services, anybody has the opportunity to create something real!
I loved James Gandolfini as an actor in the Sopranos. After what John Travolta just said here I'm really seeing what a real human being is supposed to be like. What I dont get is this interviewer. Why do so many interviewers today have such bad A.D.D. that they cant let the person being interviewed finish more than 2 sentences without their own voice having to interject. This woman must have went "mmmm hhmmmm,,,mmmmmm...hmmm," then laugh and every 2 sentences start the whole process over again. John was very interesting. he did not need anyone to push him along or let him know he was being listened to. What is wrong with this woman!? I see so many interviewers do it now that Im shocked more stars do not just get up and walk away. Or maybe they do and we dont see it as they need to protect their interviewer. I dont get whats happening to America. 30 years ago Americas greatest sportscaster is fired because when they were talking about running backs, he simply made a comment that "Blacks are bred to play football. They have such muscular thighs compared to many white athletes." That's all he said and dropped it. He was fired the next day. Now we have interviewers who need to feel they really matter when they dont! The truth is, haven't we all felt listened to the most, when the person listening to us says the least? And then you have sometimes 3 interviewers all together in one space and there is not 1 second of silent time as they keep talking over each other. I heard of speed dating. I never heard of speed interviewing. TV interviewing is getting disgusting. Many of you werent even alive when Johnny Carson would have a guest on his show and he would speak with just smiles, smirks and laughing, and never even had to push his guest to keep going. Where are people like that in TV land today?
***** atleast james would have had the balls to slap the interviewer and say "shuttup you little bitch, in here i do the talking, you just listen" or mabe iv been watching too much sopranos lately...
SureShotSav I know, especially the alive Memories, they should have that played at every school, just before the recruiting officers come in to ask if you want to join any of the armed forces. :) May his work live on forever. :(
It's just too bad DeNiro and Travolta didn't work together in their prime when they deeply cared about the craft and were making quality films. RIP Gandolfini
John Travolta Actor John Joseph Travolta is an American actor, dancer, and singer. Travolta first became known in the 1970s, after appearing on the television series Welcome Back, Kotter and starring in the box office successes Saturday Night Fever and Grease. Wikipedia Born: February 18, 1954 (age 61), Englewood, NJ
Italians don't crack, I believe it's the Italian food, the wines plus he is an actor and never had a stressful job after age 20 when he became a famous actor.
I've been waiting to hear Travolta's statement about Gandolfini after his passing. They made 3 movies together: Get Shorty, She's So Lovely, A Civil Action
Meryl Streep disagrees with you. She always said he was a great actor. When Travolta went out of fashion in the '80s (doing that 'Look Who's Talking' rubbish) Streep intimated that no actor was really secure in terms of popularity, given John's perceived 'fall from grace' in Hollywood. The classic Hollywood stars had to be able to act, and dance really well, (like Travola) and sing a bit too - like Travolta. How many can do this nowadays? A completely underrated actor.
It’s a shame that there ARE more nice people in that industry than you’d think but are hardly ever recognized. James was a class act and is truly missed by countless friends, family and fans. R.I.P. Big Man😢
What horrible things are be written ... both men were and are terrific actors and who cares anyway, a man is deceased here...why are some of you talking like immature jerks?
I always thought John Travolta have the kind of bone structure that keeps the skin "pulled" so even when he gets older, it doesn't sag. He have things done I am sure but you are right, he avoided the pitfall that so many celebs go into, having surgeries that are so obvious that I consider it disfigurement.
Lol. Like I said, you took this to heart. Lol. So touchy and sensitive. I honestly have no problem with that. I jusy wish you'd admit that to yourself, then you wouldn't use it as a defense. Its sad really. Tsk tsk. Lol. Continue having a great day, however you do that! And Enya is pretty cool. Didn't know you liked her!
Man, the nasty comments on ...well wherever you go. Mine? I think that these actors personal lives are just that - personal and private. These people are entertainers. You like, enjoy some of their performances, and some dont match the previous work. And it's often not the performers fault. Rather the story, script, setting, et. al. I've seen Bobby D., do excellent performances. And i've saw him in crappy ones too. Same with this guy.
Even though Gandolfini has been hailed on the days after his death, it's still important to remember what an extremely underrated actor he was. He is without a doubt right up there with Pacino, Hanks, Brando. He will always be among the greatest ever!
Amen to that
@Jax Teller lol what? You a moron nobody even said the word “overrated”Learn to read.
James Gandolfini, a wonderful human being, RIP!
John Travolta is a gentleman speaking about James Gandolfini!! Few Hollywood actors are able to speak like him.... others are too snobish!!
@@LearnerChess lol 😁 😂he did that to you, seem like what Joe Soprano would do
Amen to that
travolta looks like a las vegas magician

Scientology literally makes people disappear!
Holy shit I've been laughing at this for 10 min XD
I could never understand people making fun of aging celebrities.
I miss James Gandolfini,really.
The truly incredible part is throughout his life, the only person that wasn't ever amazed at the type of actor, friend and person that James Gandolfini was...was James Gandolfini. He was just being himself which was a gem of a human.

MEN TO THAT
A true professional and a gentleman, indeed. John is wonderful. RIP James.
I thought Travolta was outstanding in 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Face Off'. I don't know who won the Oscars in those years, but both performances were good enough to win in many years
Tom Hanks won for Forrest Gump in '94 which also won Best Picture.
He should've won instead of Hanks for that pos Forrest Gump.
Don't forget True Romance,he was also marvelous there.
Obviously you never saw The Punisher, Swordfish, The Thin Red Line, Grease, Carrie.
No one could play Tony Soprano as amazing as James did. R.I.P Gandolfini
Yes another testament to James Gandolfinis quality character and how beautiful of a soul he truly was , the world is a much lesser place without Jim
Yes James Gandolfini was not only a great actor but a great humanaterian A man whole had a great heart being a Jersey guy myself He put Jersey on the map He will never be forgotten My heart and prayers go out to his son and wife
J.G. had a heart of Gold!
John Travolta is a class act. God bless him and his family. Have been a fan since the days of Welcome Back, Kotter. Rest in Peace James Gandolfini.
Before Tony Soprano there was Tony Manero. Both characters were played brilliantly.
Perfect said 👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️
John Travolta is a good man and never forgot where he came from!

James was such amazing actor...he will be missed.
So Sad about James Gandolfini...:-(
I hope your still well Miss. That was a great story.
I hope James Gandolfini wasn't getting one of those creepy massages like John was
I love that the interviewer is trying to pretend this is a real movie 😂

John Travolta is larger than life! What a great human being!
never heard a bad word about the guy, you will be missed James.
It's just too bad DeNiro and Travolta didn't work together in their prime when they deeply cared about the craft and were making quality films.

Also don’t forget they are both in The Taking Of Pelham 1 2 3
John is such a good decent human

What a great Russian accent..nailed it
John Travolta -Pure Class!
Thank you! I do appreciate you for that! First man I've met on here whose not an asshole. They're all upset over nothing. Typical Internet trolls.
It’s a shame that there ARE more nice people in that industry than you’d think but are hardly ever recognized. James was a class act and is truly missed by countless friends, family and fans. R.I.P. Big Man😢
These aren't the kind of stories we ever hear in Hollywood.....wow
I like how Robin's kissing his ass about the accent.
+abdulmohsen almilli i know serbs thats not serbian!
+James Bodnarchuk sounds like a forced Russian accent?
Au contraire, check out 0:16 when "Bobby" is casually tossed out right away by the interviewer.
I'm fucking surprised they didn't call De Niro "Bob" in this piece.
But on the screen, he's brilliant.
His wig is amazing
sorry I never knew the guy but my condolences to the family. where did he live?
Didn’t go to his funeral though. Decided to advertise a watch brand instead.
I m surprised hearing they were so close and that John Travolta was never in Sopranos. He would have been a good character to play a mafia member.
2 absolute legends
"James was a great, great guy...if only I'd been able to convert him to Scientology."
Travolta owes his career to Tarantino
Oh dear, that accent! Brings back memories of Cage in "Correlis Mandolin".
he's just amazing. :)
Nice Video with a very lovely Robin Roberts.
I still can't believe he shot Marvin in the face.
John Travolta used to have natural good looks, but there is just something really off about his appearance, so sad.
the dude is 62yo, aging maybe?
It's because his eyebrows don't move when he speaks giving him an unnatural appearance
Hair transplant. Pulled his forehead up.
He would have been better to just...let nature take its course
persus57 it's called plastic surgery.
except in the finale when it cut to black.
awesome profile pic bro.
So sad he's the best gangster boss ever played
+Superman James was the real deal bro
And he thought nobody would notice.
And that's why he went to London to promote watches instead of attending his friend's funeral.
he looks like michael jackson.
Did he go to James' funeral?
Late reply, but no, he didn’t. He went to an event and advertised a watch company instead.
The great John Travolta!
WTF? What if Tarantino didn't gave You a ticket meal in Pulp Fiction ?!? Were would You be?! Gondolfini was 10 times the actor you aspire to Be.
You gotta love Travolta's wig...
Tony Soprano never dies
travolta is popular, was absent for awhile, but he's not the calibre of deniro or gandolfini
James Gandlofini = Gentleman
I don't get why anyone thinks he is gay and just because there are rumors that he is that doesn't make it true!
What horrible things are be written ... both men were and are terrific actors and who cares anyway, a man is deceased here...why are some of you talking like immature jerks?

That hairpiece is off the charts wtf...I mean I get it it's Hollywood but damn, they can't make a more natural looking wig! Seriously? RIP JAMES
rip james
Very interesting story about Gandolfini.
Travolta really needs to do something about his wigs. He just looks strange.
Too bad Travolta couldn't be bothered to attend Mr. Gandolfini's funeral today.
I was wondering until I saw your comment.
lol did she say what I thought she said?? 1:19
LadyHawk what’s wrong with that
Im dead 💀🤣🤣🤣
notice he can't move his eyebrows...
+Moonpie Spotlight too much plastic surgery
he can, he moves them at the end of the interview, he just doesnt have a very expressive face most of the time
agreed
I love when he smiles! makes u want to smile too! :)
Travolta really loves those incredibly obvious wigs.
i knew someone was gonna say this.
What is a bowl movement?
John why you dont go to James funurel?
They also worked together 3 times!
Rip..
comparisons are not personal,it's all about intellectual exchange, your opinion is quite dogmatic
FOR GET ABOUT IT LOVED THAT ACTOR
