Excellent tutorial. Bought this machine about 18 months ago and have been terrified to try it. I have 2 other Janome machines one is the M7. I will be using the serger lots now. Thank you.
OMG !!! This is the BEST tutorial for the AT2000 !!! I’ve been researching for months cause I really want one, but other tutorials were very limited. I understood everything you said and learned a lot about other things to do with the AT2000. I have 3 other Janome’s. Skyline9, Mc6650 and my old one was the MC9700. When I get the AirThread2000 , with the s9 and MC6650, I’m pretty well set! Won’t need anything else! I hope I can get a good Black Friday sale price this week! I’m in Cobourg,Ontario,Canada and I’ll be back to re-watch after I get my new AT2000 !!! Thanks sooo much! I’ll try and drop in next time we’re driving to Florida. Carla
We'd love to have you stop by, especially since you're all the way in Canada. That would be pretty cool! I'm so glad you found the video helpful, and hope that you were able to get your new machine on Black Friday. You'll love it a lot! Thanks for watching! ~Priscila
Yes, I did get the Air 😢bread 2000 on Friday but can’t pick it up til Tues. it’s ok- that’ll give me time to get thread etc. Hope you had a great Turkey dinner !!! Carla.
You are going to love it! I already have the fabric guide and this video just sold me on the piping foot! You are going to be very happy with the AT2000. It is much quieter than my previous serger. Sounds loud on the video, but in person it isn't. Threading the loopers is almost instant using the air thread.
Thanks Dan! I’m so excited! I’m definitely getting the piping foot too! It’s so cool. Great for cushions for the backyard. And I’m going to serge around my quilts just before I bind them. They come out so nice and flat- no puckers.
Google translate is magical, but alas, I still can't form a legible sentence in German to save my life, and therefore can't respond to your lovely comment in German. (One day! 😊) Nevertheless, I'm so happy that you found this video and enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching!
I do have the Air Thread 2000D Serger. It is a brilliant machine. I thoroughly enjoyed this very informative video. Your explanation was very clear & concise. I did pick up some valuable tips. Thank you.
I bought this machine 12 - 18 months ago & it's still in the box. Very wet afternoon so thought I'd at least get out the instruction manual & have a look, might have been written in another language. Husband suggested RUclips ( I'm often looking up things for him). First video I found was yours, & what an eye opener! You made everything look so easy I now have the confidence to set up & practice. I'll have you beside me on my tablet though. So a big thank you for your clear & simple video. Also the booklet you had at the end, can they be bought in Australia?
Yes! It's $62.99, and we can order it for you and ship it to your home. If you'd like to learn more, please email media@sewsewstudio.com. I'd be happy to help you complete this order! ~Priscila
I think it is! If you want to get the most out of your serger, the workbook provides a great way for you to explore many new techniques that you would have otherwise never tried. Please let me know if you need anything else, and thank you for watching! ~Priscila
I've linked the instruction manual below; once there, skip to page 36, which will explain what to do with your beginning and end tails. (It explains it much better than I ever could!) If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to help, just let me know! ~Priscila Here is the link: www.janome.com/siteassets/products/machines/sergers/at-2000d/inst-book-airthread2000d.pdf
There's no setting to help regulate this, unfortunately. Do you sew barefoot? If not, sewing barefoot might help you control the foot pedal a little bit better.
The best tutoral on this serger I have seen yet. Thank you for giving clear concise information.
I'm happy that you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!

Hello thanks for explaining sergers. I have a Husqvarna 250s. It isn’t an air threader. I may be in your new shop in Duluth looking to upgrade.
Hello! Thank you for watching our video! Yes, come on by when the new store opens and we'd be happy to show you the Janome AirThreader!
Do you sell that Janome serger workbook that you are referring to in this video

Is it worth buying the workbook?
