    In ballet training this is a fundamental exercise. Teachers would tell us to do it all and every possible moment that we were not in the studio: while brushing our teeth, cooking, studying/reading... unless you were doing splits, of course.

      @chrishuhn5065 8 месяцев назад +67

      Preferrably in your order reversed. Everything is pointless when your balance is crap and you fall on your ass all the time. If you're inflexible, you can't move to build stamina and strength or you will hurt yourself. Having stamina and not being exhausted all the time makes you feel better overall. Strength is overrated. If you have the other 3, a bit of strength comes with them automatically. For everything else you can ask for help.

      Stamina comes from something being at a 100 percent max for certain periods of time.
      Running at a 100 percent max.
      Throwing as many punches at 100 percent max.
      Muscle being at 100 percent max.
      Many ways to put gas in the tank through high speed.
      Lets also be clear that Endurance will not give you stamina.

As I was doing it he gave me a push, which ended this simple challenge with us both having a laugh. Something about it stuck with me though, and from that day on, I have never sat to put my socks on and I try to do it in different ways. 30 years later, I still do it and I have very good balance. I know there is no wat to determine how much my daily routine actually has to do with it, but I believe it has helped.
