Good to see some expats with filipino husband. My husband is also a filipino. Weve been living together for a long time. We just moved recently here in the Philippines and started vlogging too. We are now living a very simple life in the province of Roxas city in Capiz surrounded by family members, friends and good people. I would say moving here is the best decision we ever made. My best wishes to this couple.
I know both of them. Very nice, humble, and sensible people. I've worked with her and have known her for a few years now. She knows Tagalog. Baka hindi lang kumportable during the interview. She really cares about her students. All I can say is that she is as interested and concerned about our country as we are.
Can we stop generalizing? Please don't say koreans are like that, and filipinos are like that. There will be always good and bad people in any country. Can we just be happy for both of them.
I think she meant about learning Korean language. It is highly competitive country kahit nga appearance eh competitive din.
There is truth to what she's saying! Always just settling to do jobs as servants and not aiming as managers or pioneers! Gustong-gusto nyo lang kasi yung mga false compliments that perpetuates your false "Pinoy Pride" na walang katuturan kaya nagiging sensitibo agad when a foreigner said 'slow', even without meaning harm. Pero I'm glad she said that cause she was right after all!
It is also due to bad education system. Culture can actually be changed for the better when you radically reform how learning is passed down to society. Education system must be more encouraging of the children there to be spontaneous and creative. There are reasons why they wouldn't feel as much encouraged to study harder. Bullying in schools should be considered criminal acts and encoded in law as prohibited so that anyone committing so would be immediately held accountable. Scrap out rote learning in schools; teachers must be more open minded to students' variety of views of the world that they get out of their learning; teach about equality and help them to learn to value who they are because having good self-esteem does affect learning in people; teachers should stop the fear mongering especially in grade schools. I remember when I was 6 years old some teacher pinched my arm because I lost my Math exercise book. From then on I had a fear in Mathematics and asking questions I don't understand due to this incident. Scare mongering will not help students learn anything from your lessons. Government should be more supportive of education and fund more for public schools; education must be free for all and that teachers across the board should also be supported in their efforts and give them enough financial backing as a way to honor them and being grateful for their contribution to our society. The only way to change Philippines step by step is through all what I've mentioned on here.

South Korea has past relationship with The Philippines and i hope you guys still remember this, Should've been tackled in your schools. South Korea was once a poor country, During Korean war philippines sended troops to korea to help them fight back. And now South Korea is the one on top of the philippines. But with you guys claiming that Koreans looking down on filipinos i don't really know about that but one thing we should never forget the past, And be grateful on what we have today if not for that thing that happened in the past i don't think we'll be enjoying things the way it is now our lovely neighbor Koreans. :)
I think Filipino people are amazing, I am very grateful you guys sent over troops to protect our country thank you. Also, not all of us look down on you, only stupid nationalists.
김재형 just ignore these prideful and stupid nationalists. I love my country Philippines and I respect south korea . Every nation and nationality had a bad and good people. I respect south korea because of their economic performance from being one of the poorest country in the world to become one of the most advanced and largest economies in asia and the world in just few decades and produced high-tech companies like Samsung, LG, Hyundai and KIA and also produced one of the largest music and entertainment industry in asia and world.
Yah hopefully Philippines will rise again to become a richest country in Asia like before... Past history of Philippines was remarkable, soon our Country would be strong and rich.

"i live in korea" pero pag iko-construct sa korean "i korean live"
alam ko na baliktarin yung korean sentence sa English kc ganon yung pag construct ng grammar nila...what i mean is their tongue hirap mag pronounce kc EFL country sila...which means English as a foreign language...while in the ph...ESL country...English as Second language...kaya mas angat tayo kunti da kanila when it comes to English language. pero magaling sila math...at dyan sila naka focus...at angat sila sa atin dahil mayaman bansa nila...kung 70% ang mayaman sa kanila sa atin 30% lang cguro at 70% yung mahirap...masipag kc sila at ayaw mag sayang oras....at mahal yung sariling product dahil matibay.....
I totally disagree. Korean value high scores and academic achievements.
Sir Sidney was my Mandarin laoshi in Ateneo.
I'm sure your Korean friends are good people, I don't doubt it. I have so many good Korean friends too. Pero I'm talking about the Korean society as a whole, and how they view Asian neighbors. Cge nga, I dare you to ask your friends to tell you the truth of how exactly Koreans view Filipinos. Ask them to give you genuine answers, whether good or bad.
Iñigo I bet your right, They laughed at me all the time they slap me like crazy and they shout at me and yell at me. Like wth? Sometime they kick me in the ass top and sapak at sampal minsan pero ok lang yun sakin. What are friends are for...
There’s a saying that TIME IS GOLD but in South Korea’s culture, TIME is like life and death, to the point there’s no tomorrow. If we will be late in our work in Korea, it is a big shame and self-humiliation. We also work very long hours everyday. In Korea, if you work you need to focus on productivity and efficiency. I actually have a Filipine friend who told me that most of the Filipino people who work in the Philippine government always watch the clock until 5pm and sometimes before 5pm everyone’s is already checking out on their work but in Korea we usually work until 10pm. In South Korea, you can’t do that unless you want to find another job but of course you can’t get any reference if you have a bad reputation. In South Korea, we don’t usually get any second chance, maybe that’s the big difference because we tend to discipline ourselves and work hard. I’m not saying that Filipinos have no self discipline but maybe you people there are more relaxed compared to us as a society. Samsung, LG, Hyundai, KIA and other large companies here in South Korea have practiced that kind of work ethics for a life and death situation of Time Management. Of course there is no perfect society but self-respect and time management is our main value that we practiced for a very long time.
She misused the word. She should not speak like that. And her English pronunciation is poor. Just saying. There are a lot of koreans who speaks better and have great pronunciation than her.
Lol
Okay so.. yung 'Slow' nya, obviously hindi pa sya ganun kagaling masyado sa english look at her she used basic english phrase... so hindi nya sinasadya yun
Filipino time..
I realize that Filipinos do not have much passion in studying. I understand. Accepted na natin yun, but it's not right to constantly bring down on your fellow Filipinos and their study habits.
She's a great prof. 😊
She's my Korean 10-11 prof sa last semester! we still keep in touch and talk to each other.

She seems nice and genuine naman, pero hey... let's be real, Koreans look down on Filipinos. Koreans look down on brown South East Asians. #realtalk
Iñigo....Agree. but AMONG the southeast asian countries, philippines is the worst to them.
@Joulee Kim:
Well, I can see why that is...
Love wins ❤

She meant slow like cant understand korean faster ... yea she shud not use that lang cus it can lead to misinterpretation
She misused the word. She should not speak like that. And her English pronunciation is poor. Just saying. There are a lot of koreans who speaks better and have great pronunciation than her.
what she meant by 'slow' naman kasi is about learning Korean, di ba nagtuturo nga siya. ngl slow ako though self-study lang kasi.
May pag asa nako kai bias 🙂
Lol

Okay so.. yung 'Slow' nya, obviously hindi pa sya ganun kagaling masyado sa english look at her she used basic english phrase... so hindi nya sinasadya yun

Filipino time..

I realize that Filipinos do not have much passion in studying. I understand. Accepted na natin yun, but it's not right to constantly bring down on your fellow Filipinos and their study habits.

Ugali na talaga natin to😑
