- Did you know electric air dusters are a thing? This saves me buying expensive canned air every time I need to dust out my Xbox, PC and other consoles. Thanks to X3 Hurricane for sending their canless air system out for me to test, this one is gonna be mighty useful! 😁

The X|S instructions explicitly mention not to use dusters of any kind (top left of page 5 in the manual). If the fan spins the wrong way it can damage it. Always remove the fan or place something between the blades to stop it from moving if you want to use these products.
They have to do that legally. Fans are fine going either way. Especially fans that use bearings, which the xbox does.
Just stick something in the top so the fan won't move when ur blowing the air in. Easy
Imagine reading all of the manual
@@lackofdubs5975not true lol
@pajo5014 the fan used in the series x uses a certain bearing that in fine going any direction.
A fan with a omni bearing is not designed to go both ways.
I work for a company that manufactures fans. SPECIFICALLY PC fans. The series x fan has the exact same bearings we use..
Tell me I'm wrong...
I'd be tempted to get you try it out on my main workstations, save me from pulling it out of service to take it to the air compressor once a month.
I might need one of those and a air purifier because my room has a lot of dust
I can relate 😅
Great to see you trying out more long content! I know that you were talking about that on stream
Thanks Ralphie!
The reason why u get liquid while spraying is because u either shaked it or used it for too long. They are designed to be used in small intervals and rest when they feel cold.
It’s an interesting niche product that I would definitely recommend to someone who would regularly need it - that being said, for the average person, neither this nor air duster is particularly useful given that you’re just blowing dust further into a console. Once a device is taken apart this would be helpful, but so would air duster. So you’d have to be repairing electronics by profession for this to pay for itself. Hope all is well Mick!
sometimes, the dust is already way into the device anyway - as any good cooling system circulates air extensively, thus depositing dust into the most remote crevices.
You often need that extra oomph to dislodge it so that the cooling system can properly discharge it.
In the case with devices that have filters, they become clogged and this is a very efficient way of clearing those when non-removable.
If you had seen inside your fan-cooled devices, you might find how useful this would be, even in a home setting.
@@TheAussieRepairGuy that makes sense. Would it then be better to blow the device out while running so the doesn’t settle then?
@@dw4696 With something like this device, probably not as it provides sufficient air volume to clear the dust - much like I do with a venturi nozzle on my air compressor. I trade pressure for volume, and it often negates the need for me to disassemble devices.
Particularly my laser cutter worth $15,000.
I'd rather not rick messing up the calibration on that.
I used a vacuum cleaner air vent to clean my Xbox. Not ideal but sure does get the job done
How's it still still running?
@@stephenb9510 I did for that for 3 years now it runs not as good
There are plenty of versions of these… would be interested to see how well they remove dust compared to the instant high pressure of canned air (particularly while new); also on dust that is a little sticky/oily/wet.
I used canned on on my RC car’s and it was brilliant; now tossing up trying something like this or just get a proper compressor…
Check the link in my bio for product links 😀
can u plz show us how to fix e102 error for the Xbox
Air dusters are fine on pcs where you can open them up but not on things like xbox's. All you are doing is blowing all that dust futher into the system when its closed like that, its counter productive.
Look like the man shaggy in Scooby-Doo
See the new thanks feature on this mick
Now other it sounding like a jet engine is it better than the wd40? Or is it just a cheaper alternative
I think this product is great for people cleaning them regularly or working in a repair store. Or those looking for a completely safe option. Certainly not cheaper if you only buy 1 can every year or 2, but cheaper long term if you buy them often
Ok thanks 👍
Oh ok let me try that
Why not just use a hairdryer mine has a cold air option
Very cool mick never seen them before I might buy one. Also have a great day
Thanks Luke! These are great if your constantly buying canned air 😁
Lame! They can’t sell this in California :(
$20??? Man you can get those shits for like $3 from Walmart
This happens every video coz I forget to mention im in Australia. Lol. No Walmart here unfortunately and cheapest I can find is in Bunnings
Spinning a fan at those speeds actually generates an electric current via the magnets and copper windings in the fan motor and backfeeds it into the motherboard via the fan header. People frying their consoles and pc alike after watching stuff like this is wildly common in the wild
they have a diode that reverse current cannot pass through.
A call mine the X 9000 hurricane 6 horsepower
Bro I go threw 2 can of duster every two weeks. I think if it has a good pressure it might be worth it.
This one is worth it for situations like yours man. 100% recommend 👌
Thanks so much this helps.
I want a Dankpods crossover :)
I wish 😅
Tf is shaggy doin
But doesn't it push dust back into the machine 🤔
Does not meet California regulation so Amazon can't ship it.
Thanks for the heads up. You can get them at www.pccasegear.com.au and other websites too. Not sure if they will ship to you but worth a try
Duster thing go brrrrrrrrr
😁
I wonder if this guy has ever been called Shaky.

First!!! I love you mick
job
that'd be dope for my 360. this is unrelated but i just bought Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Destroy All Humans (for OG Xbox), and Skate 3 for my 360 collection. it was about $20 for all 4 of em at my local game store.
I woulda jumped on that deal too! Well played champion!
I’ve been building up my retro collection myself. Lots of obstacles. I wanted to play some PS1 games I grew up with, which started my binge, but I haven’t had any luck with finding working consoles. Tried 2 PS2’s, one from eBay, one from a local ship. Both crapped out, and I didn’t want to invest in parts so I returned. Fortunately. Xbox Series S and X have Dev mode so I can run emulators, need to get around to setting that up.
Also, the remaster for Destroy All Humans has an expansion now. Haven’t checked it out myself, but the base remaster is the original but better, and it takes a lot of for me to to admit that haha.
