For $9 on Amazon I got a dust cover that is water proof and an anti humidity protective shell. Every time I turn off the Xbox I wait 10 minutes and then check to make sure the fan is no longer running. Obviously you want your box set to turn completely off in power settings. After 2 years the console looks brand new inside and runs great. Nearly no dust at all. Highly recommend this. Just make sure that you have the Xbox set to completely shut down when you power off. Then allow it to cool for 10-15 minutes, so it's cool to the touch and make sure the fan is off. And you need to realize that the fan is designed to stay on for a few minutes after power off, as the components are still hot and the Xbox wisely continues to cool itself, so be mindful. Also the Xbox regardless of your power configuration will randomly power up for updates, which means the fan will turn on, therefore you're going to want to plug the power cord into an adapter that has an on/off switch, and plug it into that adapter and then plug the adapter into your surge protector outlet. Might sound like a lot, but it literally takes 10 seconds. I do the same with my PS5 and both consoles are in amazing shape after years of heavy use. So 2 covers and two adapters ran me about $25. the fan pulls air from the back and blows hot out the top
Why did u not open the xbox at the end ? U should do it everytime to prove cleaning dont broke my xbox
Only the back plate comes off, not either of the ends.
Only the back comes off
people what are you doing with it, why is it so dirty. I've had a PS5 and Xbox Series X since the release date and it still looks like new, and newer been cleaned yet . it just shows how dirty your houses are. 🤦🏻♂️
Gonna be real outside looks fine but once you open it you'll sing a different tune
Is this torx T8 with or without the hole?
With hole so the security version of the tool.
Hi where did you get the intro from
I’ve had it many years so tbh I simply don’t remember.
Mine certainly did
What's the name of the flatblade you use to get the sticker off
1.5 flathead works best
I cleaned my series x but is still loud on some games....
Depending on the amount of hours it’s been on it might need new thermal paste.
I appreciate the video I’m gonna clean mines , but I have no idea what the other comment is talking about either 😂😂😂
Be careful, mines are extremely dangerous
Or just use compressed air
No lol… compressed air pushes dust back into the console. It’s quite literally the exact opposite of what you want to do.
But good thinking.
@@alexandermjoyce not in a specific direction it doesnt
compressed air is the worst to use to clean your tech cause it can literally spray drops of water best way is to completely open it and clean it with a vacuum, brushes and isopropyl alcohol especially if it's durty like this you have no other choice but to fully disassemble if you really want to clean it
@@LyuboA 🤣
I actually pulled the sticker off back and lost it lol guess my warranty is gone now lol 😂??
I think you lose the warranty only when you remove the screws that are on the back stage of the console, they have a kind of seal that shows if the console has been opened or not.
I'm assuming this is for older models only
Don’t know if any design changes but then I’ve not taken apart a newish one for cleaning.
Did something change with newer models?
@@My.MusicChannel Yeah behind the sticker of my Series X there's no screw I can remove so I'm not really sure I can pry the back off of mine.
@@SpiritLord0691 Thanks. Do you think using it horizontally would be better for getting less dust? Or would it make no difference?
@@My.MusicChannel Honestly I think it just depends on how dusty the environment is around the Series X.
Fake dust build up. Iv had my X since launch and the underneath is spotless.
I assure you this is not somehow faked lol.
@@PJsprojects The dust underneath hanging their tells me either the console was never used and placed in a outside garage or you put it their for this video. I have had my XSX since launch and its no where near the build up.
@@azzaprime7257 well your free to believe whatever you want but that console has been used most days for around two years sat upright at the side of a tv stand.
Just be happy yours is not in need of cleaning 👍🏻
Yeahhh that ain’t fake build up my launch one has a lot of dust in it and I need to clean it out soon.
@@tylerspeer963 Clean your room maybe
He skipped the hardest part of getting the fan out which is disconnecting the fan from the power supply thats a bitch to get out
where the hell was this Xbox been kept to even have dust into the usb ports this is disgusting 🤢 ppl clean your rooms
Like your video
How old are your vote fiestas underpants? I’m talking about Ford Fiesta you haven’t given me that 2003 Ford Fiesta yet
I’m sorry but your sentence makes no sense? Do you have a question about this video??
@@PJsprojects I I said I haven’t got that 2003 Ford Fiesta yet and give me a Toyota Igoe or a citron C1 what is got no Radio 1 it so I can put my name
@@carolineyoung5487 I’m sorry but I still don’t understand your question. A Ford Fiesta has nothing to do with an Xbox console video???
@@PJsprojects Mate, just give him the Fiesta already. If you promised it, just give it up!
@@PJsprojectsgive the man his fiesta
It's terrible the Xbox series x sucks up dirt and dust better than a vacuum cleaner
এইডা এত কঠিন ফিটিং করার কি দরকার ছিল একটু সহজ করা যেত
Be extremely careful with the connector at 10:30. There went $500.
Lol
The Xbox just came out
On the ribbon I accidentally took of the black piece on it should I be worried
If you mean the clip that holds the ribbon in to the connector then it should clip back on.
@@PJsprojects no it’s not that ,it’s on the Ribbon itself I lifted the black piece to get it out
@@alexmorin9118 Oh the black list tag on the ribbon has come off, don’t worry that won’t cause a problem.
Id probably open the back, air dust it.
😂you keep your console on the carpet it will collect more dust than a vacuum
Thanks for this video.
You've made my £280 investment actually worthwhile. 👌
Servus !
man. thats dusty~!
You sound like blueys dad lmao
Okay
Okei
Crazy how most content creators are not smart enough to stand closer to the mic....
Tried taking my screws out the same way and the sticker fucked up my screw. Nice
Now we can never clean my Xbox
You should have used a Torx 8 that's what I used and had zero issues
How do I know if the fan cable is plugged back in, does it click?
Not really a click but it should feel firm.
Sorry but you should have shown people to have taken the fan connection off 1st before sliding fan out
It's better to clean it twice a month or 5 weeks? Same goes with the PS5? 🧹
Once a year is more than enough. Replace the thermal paste once every few years as well.
