  • In March of 2024, I had a complete tear of my distal bicep tendon and have recovered naturally without surgery or medications. In this video, I document the research I reviewed and the strategies I incorporated to heal.

I chose the same direction. My doctor told me to have a surgery. I decided to have no surgery treatment. I didnt want to take a risk of having any complications caused by surgery. After 3 weeks whole pain is gone and I am slowly coming back to light trainings sessions. I am 36. Take care!

Just tore mine a few days ago and have gone through all the information you just mentioned before visiting 3 surgeons so I was expecting them to recommend if not push the surgery yet all 3 said it was optional and that I would loose some flexion and sup strength but did not receive the standard 50%-80% number I'm finding on just about every website from doctors in the US ( I'm in Mexico City by the way). Makes me think that most doctors are just taking the route that they can better control the outcome and assume that the average patient would only do minor rehab with zero strengthening exercises to offset the torn ligament. I'm going to visit one more surgeon and a MD who specializes in Ortho Rehab just to see what they say before I make up my mind 100%.

I find it more common than not establishment doctors give wrong advise. My doctor told me I have to live with my fatty liver. He also said to eliminate salt from my diet because of my elevated blood pressure. I didn't listen to him. I went on a keto diet and got rid of my fatty liver, dropped 40 pounds. When I was getting leg cramps and fatigue because of low salt, I put some salt back in my diet and it went away.

I wish I knew this two years ago. I had the same tear, left, non dominant arm, and while I have great use with it, it still aches in my elbow from time to time.

I had an open fracture on both ulna and radius and after I had the cast removed, using my wrist and doing things like pushups or opening doors (or screw tops for foods like pickles or juices) helped enormously in getting my strength back. Thanks for the tips. I think I injured my shoulder which affected either the long head of the biceps or the anterior deltoid tendons (or both) and with shoulder resistance training, internal rotation has gotten easier. Perhaps it is time to pull out my red light laser (cold) I purchased when I was in practice.

Hello Sir, thank you for the information on this video. Great to see your recovery has been a success! Can you confirm you had a full tear? Did the tendon retract fully? Lastly, are you satisfied with the appearance of your arm now?
I am three weeks post-injury, weighing out my options...
    Thanks in advance-

Yes I discuss that in the video as I took that for 2 months to help with healing!
