We need to make voting compulsory like they do in some other countries.
A large portion of London is not invested in the country or London itself. It has been sad to watch neighbourhood by neighbourhood decline and flight. Literally no one left in the area I was in. They built a massive mosque and it become incredibly unpleasant. It was a gradually improving area with some truly nice spots and great nightlife. Now it feels noticeably tense and declining by every measure. I sold that one a few years ago and am selling my last London property as I write. I kept moving to try and stay in the decent areas but its not possible. There is nowhere I want my children to grow up.

If there was an extra choice on the ballot paper - none of the above- that would get people out. The ideal solution would be to have candidates of real honesty and decency.

Set young against the old, Colours against each other, Bring in a demographic that will challenge existing cultural values, then restrict traditional freedoms. Nick Buckley sounds like a great guy. He talks a lot of sense and I love his policies, especially naming and shaming incompetent top civil servants, more clarity on where our council tax money is spent/ wasted and thinking about the future, not falling for promises of quick fixes which won't work. I don't live in Greater Manchester so I can't vote but I hope the people of Manchester come out to vote for Nick Buckley, Independent. Good luck to him. He deserves it.
