Hello, the MD10s are being replaced by new 767s as fast as boeing can deliver them, MD11s arent going anywhere for a while, and the same with the A300s.. they are gonna be here for the foreseeable future. we are still getting new 777s all the time. the 757s are getting pretty old, the rumor around here is that we will be replacing them with 737s starting fairly soon... glad you enjoyed the video..
considering FedEx Express is the only operator of the MD-10s (that I know of), would it be safe to assume Mr. Lipsey, you're a FedEx AMT, if so, may I ask what is that small bump on the radome (looks like a housing for a camera) at the 1 o'clock position (looking nose on) slightly below the eye-line of the L1 windshield? I've noticed this on B757 and MD11 at plane spotting websites. Haven't gotten a straight answer yet. I'm guessing, maybe FLIR for super low viability, CAT IIIb landings. Cheers. from a fellow (curious) AMT cool jump-seat video BTW!
@@drewlipsey thank you for the reply and the FLIR confirmation. now I'm thinking, FedEx will install laser designation pods or buy used F-117s for precision airdrops 😅
Cargo doesnt complain about hard landings
Awesome video!! Is FDX going to keep the Md-10, MD-11, and A306 for a while or is FDX moving towards an all Boeing fleet?
