The classic night train in Russian railways is nice. It travels slow, no rocking, no noisy fast speeds, you get to your destination after a good sleep. Warm tea in the car at the morning. I miss those days 😅
@@true_xander I don't like the Isla.mization of the country only. Never sympathized with Mus.lims. I would like Russia to remain in my memory as it was before
The difference between the apartments and flats, apart from the fact that you can register at a flat and cannot do so in apartments, is mostly that according to city code the flat buildings should have a certain set of infrastructure within the vicinity of it, such as schools, clinics, kindergardens etc. So flats are inside the buildings that have the status of "allowed to live in" property, while apartments are in the category of the "commercial" property, such as refurbished office buildings, loft-made old factories, hotels etc. I know it is strange, since you can live perfectly well in a hotel. but it is what it is from the legal POW.
One more thing - rate if of payment for infrastrature (in apartments) is way higher. Cause it's officially "commecial" and rate is different compare to "living" type.
"If you can't read". Do you mean - cannot read at all? Any language? The thing is all the stations names on Moscow Metro maps and signs are duplicated in English. Latin letters anyways.
When I first brought my children here I was bragging I could finally read the metro signs in Russian. My oldest said something similar to what you said. Dad, I can read them all too they are in English. They came right before the World Cup games.
I have been learning for 3 years. My progress has not been as fast I would like. My problem is I tend to surround myself with English speaking Russians. They always want to speak English. The lazy side of me quickly agrees. Now I am studying everyday but only to pass the drivers exam. I have a teacher and we studying one hour everyday.

Russians have the most beautiful subway.😊
lol. I had a hat in my pocket. I waited until after to put it on.
it was not that cold that night. It was plus 3-5.
a normal meeting of best friends in Russia, nothing unusual

Great information!!!

Daniel, which film are you talking about, when you mentioned
The end was at Universitet Station.
It was the scene when they found the dog all tied up and he kicked the ball for the kids.
