just finished pharmacy program only takes a semester to complete, took PTCB and passed and now have a job making $21 an hour. I really recommend this job to anyone and can %100 be a career. You can get so many different certifications just by experience and get a higher pay. you can also work with surgeries as an OR pharmacy tech. All in all this position is very versatile and you can go far if you put the work in!!!

Im a pharmacy technician at omnicare and I work full time as a 19 yr old and I find it very very affordable to work here and pay all of my bills. I pay my car note, insurance, rent etc. very very comfortably
I absolutely agree with what you said about bad days here. I am a tech too and I have bad days almost every week because our pharmacy is super understaffed (which a lot of pharmacies are). However, I still love my job because when some patients thank me for what I do and they are being understanding, I feel like all I do is worth it!

Damn we're so similar lol, I'm a second semester sophomore also not studying pharmacy... I worked at Walgreens for my senior year of high school as a cashier and then moved to the pharmacy for my freshman year of college to get more money. I got my PTCB at the end of my time there (I self-studied) and then I left after freshman year to move on campus at school and now I'm about to start in the hospital! Super excited, definitely look into it, no patients, pay is significantly better (almost $6 more per hr base pay for me plus 5-20% on top of that for shift differential) and often if they have prn or per diem positions, it is even easier to work around school bc there is no minimum requirement for how much you work and you basically get to choose your schedule.
I work at a clinic and those patients show their natural behinds! There were times I considered quitting, until I remember I really love what I do and I shouldn’t let grumpy folks ruin my career. However, I have thought about switching to the hospital for better hours because I can’t do waking up early.

Hi! There is usually a timed test for various reasons: to test your knowledge of subject, to see how quick you can work under pressure with timed questions, etc. Seeing you have 90 days until you can reapply, you can study on the materials to prepare. You got this!

Its good to have the licensure because you never know where life takes you... and you'll never know when you might need it.

Apply to Walgreens, CVS, or Walmart pharmacy. They all train you to become a PTCB certified pharmacy tech and they pay for it. I’ve worked for Walgreens and Walmart and I never went to pharmacy tech school. Also Ashworth and Penn foster has online self paced pharmacy tech programs for less than $2500 each. They also include externships. I think being PTCB certified will give you a boost on your pharmacy school application

Working 3 days and off some days...I'm confusing y'all. I don't know but I heard. Let others explain lol 😆
You can do it! I was diagnosed in 2nd grade with ADHD and love pharmacy because no day is ever the same and working in pharmacy never had me board. Take one step at a time and over time you'll develop skills to help you focus🌺

I'm a health educator and If you're interested in practicing, you may consider purchasing a counting tray with spatula (they have reasonable priced ones in Amazon) and purchase the candy smarties and practice counting by 5's daily. Walmart offers training for free, plus the pay is around $16-18 ish for non certified. You’d have to speak with the pharmacy manager

walgreens starts u off non certified at 19 an hr in denver rent here in 2024' is 1000-1500 studio or on bedroom: SO NO UNTIL U MAKE ATLEAST $25hr

I'm a health educator and If you're interested in practicing, you may consider purchasing a counting tray with spatula (they have reasonable priced ones in Amazon) and purchase the candy smarties and practice counting by 5's daily.
