The caption head writing their music, Mike Jackson, was the same person writing the music for Blue Knights from 2014-2019. In 2014-2019 Blue Knights placed 6th in drums in 2014, 2015, and 2017. Blue Knights had great staff members with the drum line and pit including the former center snare drummer from the Blue Devils in the early 20teens helping to clean the music. If you have the same person writing the music and play it clean by finals week then you should expect the same result in terms of placement. Therefore, Crown placed 6th in drums because even if they play the music clean they are not going to place higher than 6th because Blue Knights didn't place higher than 6th. They should already have known this when they poached Mike Jackson from Blue Knights. If crown wants to place in the top 3 then they should find out how much money McNutt is getting paid to write for Boston and pay him more money to write for Crown. Or even better, bring back Tom Aungst.
I don’t think when they chose to hire mike Jackson they were necessarily thinking about winning drums(ofc it would be nice) I think they were more so thinking about what arranger would better fit the the style and new approach crown was going for like there’s a stark difference between the shows with and without mike Jackson stylistically that’s just my theory tho. Also Crown got 3rd in drums last year so there’s that.
Thank you for capturing this lot George! Means a ton to us.
🙏🏽
Precision ,power, Passion , and crispy snares!!!
Tightest quad rolls I've ever heard!!!
like the sound quality, I can hear the bass drums
6th is crazy
Drum judge not being on the field is messing it all up.

@@TheLilmike248 They got the percussion award, it wasnt the drums fault
Probably gonna go down as the most underrated drumline this year along with spirit of atlanta imo
