Hi Sheona!! Wonderful vlog.. What beautiful fabric colors & choices you have to pick.. Thanks for explaining the difference in fabrics, it really helps.... 💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
This was very helpful. I am just getting back into sewing clothes after sewing quilts for the past 20 years. I actually like your top with the sleeve unhemmed as it almost looks like a trip on the edges. Hoping to make my first jersey top so a little scared but if it's a fail I'll just wear it to bed .
You always have the most gorgeous jersey fabrics! I loved the cotton jerseys the best, I really enjoy sewing with those too and I'm like you, have curvy hips so don't like things to cling lol. Thank you for sharing all those. Good to see you back and hope it's not too long before you're back to normal shop opening hours xx
Thank you for your very instructive video; I have 3 yards of viscose fabric but I didn't know you need certain patterns for the different jersey type fabric. You have saved me from a disaster.
Hi, lovely top, I thought the arm was a design choice & love it 😀. I'm a returning sewer after a 30 year break! I will be watching all your videos to catch up!! We had to close our vinyl supply business during shut down, so I'm chuffed when I see businesses making it through. I haven't done a video in ages, wanted to in shut down but felt a bit nervous. But you have inspired me, I may not sell any more but I can still have fun, share my passion & hopefully combine with my sewing journey (Sharon from Elf Craft & Vinyl Swindon) 👍❤
So great to see you back Sheena and as always gorgeous choice of fabrics and patterns. The Deer and Do dress/top looks great. Its good to have plains as I. Always seem to have loads of patterns and they don’t always go with the other half!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make and share this video, as an adventurous beginner, I found it incredibly helpful. I have an Art Gallery cotton jersey ('Wild Gatherings') and I think I will get that Deer and Doe pattern, it looked ideal!
Really interesting and helpful.I love the fabrics and the patterns you've chosen. The colour and design of the fabrics are really beautiful. I like the way your sleeves turn up,the white gives interest and shows off the print.
Hi from Alberta, Canada nice to see you back. Until you said you hadn't hemmed the sleeves on your top I was thinking you had done a very good job of putting piping on them. lol
Hi Sheona, such beautiful jerseys and I adore the one you have on 👌💕. I actually like the sleeves on you unfinished as the white is a lovely contrast. I quite often don't hem jerseys if they look ok...makes it even easier to make doesn't it 😉. I have made the Sew House Seven Tabor v-neck sweater and it's great and I wore it to death last year 👍. So many lovely fabrics and some great parings for them for patterns there Sheona and you are doing brilliantly actually with your videos... can't tell at all that you haven't been filming for a while 👌💟😁😘
I have just got the Deer and doe pattern not sure what jersey to use. So thank you I will go to your web site and see if you have got the ditsy fabric (the top you are wearing) . It’s the first time I have seen your videos.and I love 💖 it just going to subscribe now so I won’t miss anything thank you Sheila from Weston super mare Somerset.
Really useful video. I've been sewing a long time but there is always so much to learn. You explained the different sorts of jerseys so well and I love the pattern suggestions to match the fabrics. Love the art gallery cotton jersey, will definitely be buying some.
This vlog was very useful. Could you do something similar for suggestions for double gauze? Bought a lot of lovely double gauze this season but there’s only so many Tilly Indigo dress/tops my wardrobe needs (although I love them). What other patterns would you suggest for double gauze that aren’t necessarily dresses? So glad you are vlogging again xxx
Great vlog 😊 I have the hands fabric in mustard which I love but think it looks like pj fabric?! Can u suggest a non pj pattern that would work please?
Hi there, just wanted to say that I have just discovered your channel and am delighted to find that you explain about different fabrics and the best fabric for certain kinds of patterns. As someone who has been sewing for many years there are 2 things I find most difficult. Knowing which fabric will work well with my chosen pattern, and making adjustments. As a petite person, 4 ft 11, D cup bust, but small shoulders and arms, getting something to fit, is a challenge. I am currently trying out stretch fabrics, and wondered if you have any tips on using scuba fabric. ?
Carole I feel your pain! I am 5’ and have narrow shoulders and a 5” difference between upper bust and full bust. I would love to sew my own clothes, but cannot get a good fit.

So great to have you back. You have been missed. 🥰
Your fabrics are so beautiful! Nice vlog! xx
I love your selection of jersey fabrics and the unfinished sleeve hem❣️❣️❣️ will try that with my next t shirt.
Lovely to have you back. Such an informative vlog - helps nervous sewers like me make an educated choice pattern + fabric
Jersey scares me so it’s really handy to know you have a video on that as well
Very interesting video. I also love the Molly top for jersey. Some lovely fabrics.🤗

This was SO helpful! I find matching fabric to the correct pattern a challenge, so this will be a great start for me!
It’s so useful to see fabric ‘in the flesh’ rather than just a photo as I can’t visit your shop. Thank you.

I thought you had used seam binding on the sleeves, and that it was really cute!
Hello, do you still have the style arc Astoria knit dress pattern?
The Sew House Seven pattern is one of my favs I’m wearing one right now :-)
Is Writers Garden Art Gallery jersey out of stock? Great video and explanation of different types of stretch fabrics 👍🏼
Great vlog 😊 I have the hands fabric in mustard which I love but think it looks like pj fabric?! Can u suggest a non pj pattern that would work please?
Where is the video explaining stretch fabrics? Having trouble finding it. Thanks!
I saw that raw edge sleeve and thought it was a design festure. I'd leave it like that 😁
