@@acumen1 I use the PD400X full time now for all my streams and RUclips videos so I'd go with that. However the AM8 is much much cheaper and a perfect budget mic for people that can't spend over $100. So they're both great mics at different price points :)

Great review. If you got an extension for the included base plate to make mic sit taller do you think it will be too top heavy to extend height?
It's tough to say since the mic is pretty heavy :/
"Does the dual output (USB & XLR) of PD400X operate alternately or can they be used simultaneously? If they can be used simultaneously, is it possible as a backup in case one of them encounters an issue? How about PD200X? Can the USB & XLR be used simultaneously?

If you have the USB and the XLR plugged in, which looks like you have, which is it actually recording from?
I usually only have 1 of them plugged in at a time, I might have had them plugged in for the video display and in that case then the usb might take priority, not 100% sure on that though
You can have both plugged in, go into your sound settings and disable the USB input until you want to use it, that way you don’t have to fiddle with cables and can turn it on and off through your pc.
