    After listening this review on studio monitors, I like better how the Maono sounds. Especially on the high frequencies.

    The two mics sound so similar! Yet the prices are not even close!

    Great video (from a fellow Romanian I'm guessing)? My Blue Yeti just broke yesterday due to the classic USB plug issue. I've have been comparing the Maono PD400 with the Shure MV7 for a replacement. But if you're comparing it to the big sister SM7B, and the difference (at least form what I heard) is so little, I think the Maono is a pretty good option for my beginner podcast. The only downside I've heard for the Maono is the plosives, but I didn't hear any in your audio. Thank you!

      Yes! The Maono is a really good option in my opinion. You can get rid of the plosives by using the big windscreen and also microphone technique. Hope I could help! :)
      PS: I am from Germany, but greetings to Romania :D

      For this video I used the Sony A7IV with the Sony 24mm f/1.4 GM for a-roll and I think the Sony 24-105mm f/4 for b-roll :)

    The Maono sounds the same, is more affordable and has more features. Oh and looks better imo. without that pop filter on it which it doesnt really need

    • @cat-hg6fz
      @cat-hg6fz 3 месяца назад +1

      It’s a great microphone, and I agree it looks better. However, I think it really does need the pop filter because the plosives over time gets itchy on the ear.

    danke für das gute Review! Ich bin neu in der Technik von Mics. Ich möchte mir demnächst das Maono Mic kaufen. Ich finde es hört ich über XLR viel besser an. Du hast das Audient iD4 im Video gezeigt. Reicht das aus um damit los zu starten oder benötige ich noch andere Sachen? ich möchte es zum Streaming und Aufnahme für RUclips benutzen. Mir ist die Mic Qualität sehr wichtig.

      Vermutlich reicht sogar ein Focusrite Scarlett Solo oder ein Vocaster um damit zu streamen. Ich habe mir das Audient ID14 nur gekauft, weil es bei mir mehr oder weniger offen im Raum steht und es ein recht hübsches Interface fürs Auge ist haha
      Also es muss nicht das Audient sein, da gibt es auch gute und günstigere Alternativen. Ich empfehle hier den Channel @JulianKrause

    I went to many comparison sites and checked microphones and Shure was rejected after comparing it with Fifine T683 which is more than twice cheaper, I was surprised because Shure is supposedly good but even his cheaper brother beat him when it comes to sound quality , shure sm7b is suspiciously low on every website, even microphones priced at $70 beat it

    • @MaksKsimowski
      @MaksKsimowski 9 месяцев назад +2

      that's why shure has few options when it comes to the basic ones. I have a mic now that retails for about $42 and is comparable to Shure

    Does the dual output (USB & XLR) of PD400X operate alternately or can they be used simultaneously? If they can be used simultaneously, is it possible as a backup in case one of them encounters an issue? How about PD200X? Can the USB & XLR be used simultaneously? I appreciate your assistance.

      Sorry for the late response :( To my knowledge you can not use them simultaneousy :/

      Interesting question. It made me curious and I tried it out. At least if you record on two PCs, parallel operation works: XLR on PC1, USB-C on the notebook.

    Do you or any viewers in the comments know of any windscreen other than the default one that fits on the maono PD400x? I have had mine for about a year now, and I am looking to find a different windscreen to use.
