Straight from the mid-west of Lansing, Michigan. Multi-talented in martial arts and weapons mastery from security operative to working behind the scenes on film. After his debut at center stage for "Above The Law" in '88, masses were the given the first of back to back smashes almost 35 years ago with Seagal (also producer) doing what he does best. Directed by The late Bruce Mulmath. It's a perfect story for it's genre. Kept to the ground and not over the top. The name Mason Storm alone is a cool one for a protagonist. All the twists and turns of who can't be trusted, can be trusted and how can he finish what he started. I like how he rebuilds his himself to rebuilds his himself to be ready for action. You wanna see him disable and tear apart the antagonists for them destroying his family and nearly his life. The action sequences are pretty good as only Seagal can do it. His then wife Kelly Le Brock as Andrea was absolutely beautiful and still is today (don't hate her for it, ha ha). William Sandler (Senator Trent) in this and Die Hard 2 as the main villain, same year was real good. HtK had the biggest 3-day theatrical opening in the month of February. RIP to Frederick Coffin (Lt. Kevin O'Malley) and Ernie Lively (LAPD Captain) whose daughters are actresses Robyn & Blake Lively. For a decade plus, Seagal was among the best that the action genre ever had. From Above The Law (1988) to Exit Wounds (2001). Beyond those years, he was more hated as an person than loved for his work and i think it's kinda sad.
I watched this movie a lot as a child, back when I didn't get the jokes. When I tried watching it as an adult, I turned it off after about 15-20 minutes.
@@PopcornReactions Yes, and on the other hand, I also watched Nothing But Trouble a lot at the same age (because I lived in a motel in New Orleans at the time, and it was on the movie channel there) and also didn't get some of the jokes in that back then, but when I watched it as an adult, one of those jokes caused me to laugh so hard I was crying, partly because I didn't expect it because it had gone so far over my head as a child.
Showdown love the reactions as always, I have a movie suggestion if you have time and that movie is called Mom and Dad. It came out in 2017 starring Nicholas cage and it’s a horror/comedy with a very different/weird take on horror movies that I think you would really enjoy.
I was waiting all day for the Lorenzo Lamas Renegade reference 😂😂😂
That was a great show
LOL
i agree

Totally get that! Some movies just don’t vibe the same when you’re older.

Under Siege is his best imo, really good 90s movie
I would have to say that the best steven seagal films are under siege 2 dark territory (1995) under siege (1992) and Out for Justice (1991)
Those are some classic Seagal films! Each one has its own unique charm, but I can see why you’d favor those.

Thanks for the suggestion! "Mom and Dad" sounds intriguing, especially with Nicholas Cage in the mix. I'll definitely check it out!
My top 3 segal movies dis movie above the law n marked for death
yes!!
How about the other Seagal, Thomas Ian Griffith in Excessive Force.
Anyone who says this is the best movie of all time is freaking crazy. Top 10, sure, but it isn’t the best movie ever created.
ok
