  • I have had several prints just stop all of the sudden. The screen freezes and pressing stop gives a message that "Stop Failed." I finally noticed something the last three times... Watch the bed temp. When if froze the time before the bed temp read 41º.

If you take a look on bed temperature it lowers to 30 degrees at moment and that is the fault! You need to check wires from NTC (bed thermistor)!

did you find a solution? same here...

It was the thermistor on the hot bed -- it gave inconsistent readings which caused the print to fail. If all the wires on the bottom of the bed are firmly attached, you will probably have to buy a new bed (link below) or get with the Anycubic support (support@anycubic.cn) and they will send you one if you are under warranty.
If the green and/or blue wire(s) on the bottom of the bed are broken or loose, you could solder the affected wire back on to potentially solve either inconsistent readings or no readings from bed temperature. I have had that issue on my other printer as well.

Did yours completely cool down after but keep the fans at 100%? It seems very random when mine freezes up but I am beginning to think it might be something similar to what happened with your printer.

As a note when I say random I mean I have had it freeze up anywhere from the first layer to half way through the last layer.

Yes, that's what it did. When it has this error, it stops the program immediately. The issue ended up being that the thermistor on the bed was defective. You can buy a new bed on amazon or get one from Aycubic's support if it is under warranty.

Mine do this but keeps the temperature! I keep my research for what to do and so far I didn’t found the issue

I have had one do the same thing except that the temperature dipped for just a second and then came back up so the printer stopped, but it didn't show the drop in temperature on the screen. It is most likely either the thermistor on the bed or on the on the hot end.

Have exact same issue with mine at the moment but its the print head which drops by 10 degrees when printing the first layer and freezes. Any ideas best way to fix this? haven't modified fans or anything on my printer.

My issue with the bed was the thermistor. I replaced the bed and it worked well. If you replace the thermistor in the hot end, that might take care of it, if it is behaving the same way.
I had a different issue with the hot end temp dropping while printing and then it would freeze when it dropped 10 or 15 degrees. This usually happened on the second layer when the fan kicked on. I spent a long time trying to figure it out and ended up just setting the fan so it was a maximum of 25% so it wouldn't cool too much. Eventually I swapped the 300W power supply with a 360W one -- after that, the hot end was able to keep up even with the fan running 100%. I think the power supply was weak because my other printer had no issues with the original power supply.

@@danbartlett6187 thanks that's really good reply, I'll have a look this afternoon. Might try adjusting fan speed first see if that makes a difference before changing hotend.
