I show how to remove an old flywheel, and how to install a new or resurfaced flywheel back onto the crankshaft of the engine. This car is a 2007 Honda Fit.
You don’t have to, you can put the old clutch back in, but if you’re that deep in, I’d recommend replacing it so you don’t have to do it all over again.
Hey question, not sure you can help but i have a 2016 nissan versa, its a 4 speed auto, now we did a motor swap several months back and been having problems getting her to run, well turns out the new motor is a 5 speed manual, the friend who helped says all i have to do is swap out the flywheel on the new motor for the one on the old motor and itll run, but professional mechanics are telling me thats the issue and that i should swap back to the old motor, will changing the flywheel fix my problem or do i have to swap the old motor back in?
@@romeocano1919 yea i found that out about 2 grand into the repairs l, only to find out the car had major frame damage and wasnt worth the money i dumped into it, i ended up scrapping it, ill never drive nissan again though after that
I was like uh. No impact. This video showed me that wrench trick. Thank you. Moving right along on this job.
Do you have to replace the clutch when replacing the flywheel?

Flywheels are for manual transmissions you need a flexplate and torque convert
