When Flywheel FAILS Honda CRV

- This Honda CR-V came to the shop for a DPF removal , but it turns out it need something additional to that . The terrible clicking sound from the engine bay , was coming from somewhere btw the engine and the gearbox . So what can that be ?
We found out that this car has completely failed flywheel ( the springs inside was totally failed ) , and improperly installed clutch pack .

i dont think the clutch plate was in the wrong way round because it would not have broken the drive with clutch pedal depressed, you can clearly see when you had it the wrong way around it was not sittng on the pressure plate, the splined hub on the drive plate was fouling the pressure plate.
Nice, mine doesnt klap like that but there are strange noises when cold and occasional shake when taking off (177k km). I am.really hoping its only a clutch and not the fw.

Is the new flywheel heavier than the old flywheel and was the problem caused by the clutch plate being fitted the wrong way round? very interesting video thanks

This is the first time I see the HONDA CRV with the diesel engine.
This is a very good video, I learned a lot from it. Do you know how many kilometers does this Honda have? How long, how many hours did it take you to replace the flywheel and cluch? Thank you.
Greate job mate but why you don't replace the dual mass flywheel by mono mass flywheel
It is not a good idea , because the shifting is going to be much more harder and not so smooth . These types of flywheels is holding for around 150k-200k kms , so i doubt the owner is going to need to do this job , one more time :)
Good job ! Do you recomend this car do buy ? Im intrested in CRV icdti 2008 with no DPF , or engine version 2,0 150hp and i dont know which shuld i choose . I dont want to have a problem with my honda …. please help me to choose good ;-)
paw ulo be careful of the timing chains on the 2.2 diesel, they seem to fail/break more than you would expect.
Would be hard to remove a dpf on the ctdi engines didn't have a dpf filter. They were only fitted to I-dtec engines
they have dpf you donkey.

Мисля че имаш грешка с феродовия диск, като сте сваляли кутията не сте забелязали че сте обърнали диска. Тва ще да е първото сваляне на кутията на тази кола и не вярвам в завода да са объркали посоките.
The problem is here the flywheel is unfair expensive, it cost 1000 euros that is too much.
is a big diffence between luk and honda flywheel ? jus need to replace the kit for my 08 accord 2.2 idtec.
Luk is what honda use.

If flywheel isn't broken then no, you shouldn't need a new one.
Does Honda place LuK flywheels originally?
Yes, you can get Exedy, cheaper and I think better too (Japanese)

dual mass flywheel's are a total failure, fit single mass and forget about it, and don't listen to the bullshit that it will damage your transmission.
for honda mk3 crv 2.2 diesel only dual you cant find any single mass flywheel that the problem :D

D m fly wheels are utter rubbish they give more problems cost more to put right than stock flywheels
