You shouldn’t even bother. Haters will always close their minds off when it comes to Kanye, whether thats his music or what he says. Just leave them dumbasses and lets appreciate Kanye’s genius
This album came out for me eighth grade got it for Christmas from this homeless shelter we were staying it . Changed my life frfr. This and running into like classic hov and black album like probably influenced most in rap and hip hop
To whoever edited this video . It's 2021 now and kanye is "THE BEST PERFORMER " of this generation. No disrespect to the Beatles but Kanye is levels ahead when it comes to stage designs and executing a performance . He might be a decade ahead of us now . So eff your opinion Beatles is not the greatest performers now because kanye did exactly what he told he would do.
One of the greatest artists of the 21st century discussing the most influential album of the decade. He really is like the beatles: is able to intergrate different sounds and ideas that have been heard before and perfect it to fit his artistic vision.
808s is from two things, hence the plurality. 1. the roland 808 drum machine. 2. this record was recorded in hawaii and the area code is 808. so its 808s for those two reasons.
808s was slept on but i listened to it anyway because I listen to what I like not what everyone likes or the trend ,this album was really artistic and fun to listen to,but I don't fuck with yeezus that shit wasn't for me
It’s crazy how many people trashed this album just like Yeezus and look at it now. Revolutionary, game changing and the reason we have these amazing newer acts that were influenced by him and the same thing will happen with Donda. Every album sounds unique and that’s what I love about him no fear to test out new sounds but most importantly he is himself no matter what.
How can yall hate on him. Hes polite and humble right here this is the way he is! Its when people bring up bullshit then he gets mad just like anyone else!
@@lex_4242 If a person inspires your life early on in his career with his work and view but change, yea there's an old ye. Nothing wrong with growing but the person he grew into is not a person i care about.
agree....the biggest thing up again 8O8's is his 3 previuos albums...people r just expecting much the same and not just clearing all expectations and just listening to wat he has to say
wtf this album is pure pop! yeah he added new elements to his music style, but so has andre3000 a long time ago, lupe fiasco, even lil wayne has been transitioning banging beats to elaborate melodies. which is what makes this album-its calm warm feeling, i wouldnt go as far as dark but along those lines. kayne is creative with a foundation of ideas, not original. And i say this because there is just way too many style relations between kayne and artists he looks up to from other genres
@@mrslawdog nah, he dont. watch the apple interview about JIK he basically said he doesnt enjoy making music as much anymore. and tbh i dont blame him how much more can he innovate and how much more success could he get? hes got no where to go now so hes turned to god and religion
I don't think his passion is gone, it just ebbs and flows. I think he has already accomplished all he wanted to accomplish in terms of music, so the hunger to be the "greatest artist of all time" has been satiated because he has already done it.
Whatever. for a start kanye is a completely different type of music and secondly has never been anywhere near as original or progressive as the beatles. piss off man
Culture Vulture The Beatles are overrated trash. Kanye has done way more for the music industry than the Beatles ever did with there wack ass Pop music.

very dark and artistic album. not easily understood by all, but i dont think he cares. takes some open ears to listen to, and it will grow on you.
Messay Betru Correct!
Holy fuck
Wtf this comment is golden and it only has 55 likes I’m in heaven rn

Absolutely. Aged SO well. Classic album to me
I THINK ITS SAFE TO SAY ITS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL ALBUM OF OUR TIME NOW..
one of the best albums of our time
Yes
808 and heartbreak the most important hip hop album of all time
Tumbld not really
Hoodlums 420 you can say a lot about 808s because it is one of the most influential hip hop works but your analysis is wrong
It’s Illmatic honestly
I think Straight Outta Compton beats 808s but both are influential as fuck
JeremyTheActivist * Drake and 40 have already expressed themselves that this was the album they jump started what they wanted to sound like.
808s was such a change that people couldn't go with it. Years later it's seen as another great album.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Yeezus too
It's crazy how relevant this video is right now in early 2016.
Michael Bottke kanye always says hes speaking to the future. lotta the shit he said in the early to late 2000's makes a lot of sense now
Michael Bottke and 2018
Talk about it
2017*
Michael Bottke 2019
One of the greatest albums of all time in my opinion. Kanye is a genius, it's sad that people will realize it once he's gone.
He never actually ended up answering that interviewer ladies' question what a savage
808s & heartbreak is his best work 2 date.

Both, they both play important roles
