Sorry, i have no idea what the crystacal is. Use castable gypsum, brand doesn't make a big difference. Plaster of Paris available everywhere, and it's relatively inexpensive, that the reason why we selected the material.
How would you paint it? If I want to use water colors do I need to seal the plaster first and with what? If I were to use color pigments how do I go about it? Thanks for a great video.
Plaster is very poures material, it absorb liquid pigment very easy. You'll have to spend some time and paint gypsum stone carefully. If you will seal the plaster color will not go trough the sealer. Usually we seal plaster after it has been colored. You can use water based stains or mixer with water oxide pigments to color plaster stone.
Plaster absorb moisture. I would recommend to use plaster for interior projects. Concrete for exterior. You can also search special plasters for exterior usage in case if it has to be a plaster....
Got it. Thanks for the info. Going to be purchasing some molds here pretty soon to finish a exterior retaining wall. Do you all make custom size molds by chance?
We are mold making company. We can make any custom made mold, but custom made mold pretty expensive. We can send you our mold catalog, you may find something that may match your requirements. Send all your requests to sales@globmarble.com
@@Z-add Superplasticizer is calculated by gypsum weight. Anywhere between 0.25% to 2% of total gypsum weight is good. The more you add, the stronger it will be.

@@GlobMarble thanks, but I want a material mixed with the gypsum mixture before solidification and solidifies together , ( like rapid wall gypsum system)
Just a tIp: Add 0.3% of Carboxilate in water from the weight of the gipsum... Smooth mass, no bubbles and very very strong pieces... Thanks!!
Great advice, thanks!
love it great mix (music too)
Awesome video! Thank you! Like!

@@GlobMarble Oh its just a very hard casting plaster Thanks for replying buddy
ps great vid
I'm sure that hard gypsum will work the same way, test it and you'll see result. Usually we use Hydrocal if we're need a very hard gypsum.
Nice
Thanks!

@@GlobMarble Thanks So Much.
I wonder why then the likes of Rachel Dein use water color. Do you think that's the reason why she adds concrete to the plaster? Thanks
N HW I have no idea who is Rachel Dein, but there is nothing wrong in different applications and methods. Everything depends to your preferences.
Can the plaster stones be used for exterior applications? Or will you have to substitute the plaster for concrete?

Did the gypsum board mix anything up to speed?
We'll post new gypsum casting video by the end of this or next week.
how does it look after install? plain white?
With regular gypsum- yes. You could pigment the gypsum before casting it and also color it after it ha been casted.
Superplistesizer is used to create a strong gypsum panel
how long until set up time?
Few minutes. it depends to how do you mix and temperature inside the room.
How to paste the wall with any material
How heavy is it, once the stone is set?
5 lbs/2.5 kg approximately
So no need of fiber reinforcement?
You didn't need fiber reinforcement especially if you use plasticizer, but in case if you want, you can add fibers.
@@GlobMarble how much plastercizer per litre of water?

how to apply that into the wall? is it the same as using concrete?

Can i add super plasticizer on this mix?
You don't need to reduce a water usage in plaster. Stop adding plaster to water when plaster stops absorbing the water.
There should be s specific weight of gypsum to 1 litre of water. For consistency between tiles you should have a fixed ratio.
how is this sealed?
The same way as any other stone.
I need this mold please
its GlobMarble MS 871 mold globmarble.com/concrete-stones/concrete-stone/mosaic-stone-molds/

I thought it was dangerous to do it without gloves because of the chemical reaction
SilosMOVIE . There is no chemical. It's a plaster mixed with water.
Everything is chemicals, and drying plaster is a chemical reaction. It may not be dangerous though, I don't know!
SilosMOVIE it not safe as an habit He’s a little incaring
