@@ainhat. Hey so all that means is that your thrusters will not Quick Boost as fast as originally advertised. But it's not a big deal. I just chose the boosters with the fastest regular boost speed.
@@Otstrava the thing is the meta here, AC6 missile boats is by far the most viable we have seen them in multiplayer, 4th gen missiles works much better using a light frame and 2nd staging for missile jousting (and that also didint work too well because flares exist) and missileboats in 5th gen don't get used much due to how much dps and support the autocannon/heat cannons with subcomputer shoulders boats provide
Coral generators are good, particularly the larger one, for quad builds, the upside being that you can get nearly max energy back after 3.5 seconds of falling, meaning you never actually have to hit the ground to recover and stay in flight indefinitely.
I’m using a all missiles build myself and ended up with dual back vert missiles so I could have the maximum amount of missiles in the air in one shot. Launching 50 missiles with one trigger pull is pretty goddamn satisfying.
I have the same build but i named it AH-64 or commonly known as the apache helicopter (irl a missle from one is top down and has 1200+ armour penitration) i wish i could shoot 200+ missles like the irl apache.
I think in 1v1s this could possibly be balanced with some counterplay, especially the fact that you have no big followup to capitalize on stagger. However missile boats are downright oppressive in 3v3 especially on certain maps. You get staggered 24/7 and their teammates can just land whatever juicy charged weapon or double zimmy blam as they please. But you can't really chase down one for reasons you described. It's possible to chase one down to stop them from spamming missiles but that usually means far overextending spending all your EN assault boosting to chase; if one of their teammate spots you you are the easiest free kill ever.
i intuitively figured out the missile spam strategy after facing the first few enemy ACs in the campaign and ended up with a build very similar to this one lol, i was kinda wondering why the zimmerman build wasn't as annoying to me in pvp as people were saying it should be
zimmermans and missile weps both are a problem, in older games you had anti missile systems as extras that shoot some of them for you since they are tracking and rarely miss if played right, they completely took that away in ac6 making missiles too strong. they have to reduce the tracking of missiles and the impact build up of zimmermans.
I was playing the PVP today to test builds, i fought against a player with this exactly build and was literally impossible to beat him or she, and i tried a lot of different builds against him. Armored Core PVP doesn't have basically any rewards to beat players in PVP, the only reward is you to see that your build is good, but what's the point if the majority of players will just search some meta builds? All my builds are made by my self, all my wins are totally my, and this is rewarding, i don't know how players could fell rewarded using other peoples builds
Heyo, so I've been playing a bit and here's some stuff I learned after finally losing with the Missile Lord build. 1. I mentioned at the end of the video that it doesn't do well on certain maps. Choose the maps that force close quarters combat! 2. The Missile Lord uses up a ton of energy quick boosting in the air to dodge missiles, so a faster or much more explosive-resilient AC that carries the same missile weapons can defeat it. Some excellent pilots I fought also used cover quite well. 3. The game has been out for a week and people are still experimenting with builds. Just a few days ago, the Zimmerman Shotguns were hailed as the ultimate meta weapons, now they are countered by a good amount of weapons. Hopefully, we will see a counter to the missile build in the next few days or so. And I agree! Using something you made yourself is quite satisfying. Never give up that feeling :)
The best way to counter shotguns(and melee builds)... Choose a map with buildings, get a quad with long range weaponry and float exactly 200m in the air while sniping downwards. Land on buildings to recover EN and do it again. Shotguns have a low effective range so they have to fly upwards towards you to land hits without ricocheting. Since they need to also dodge your attacks from above, they usually run out of energy before they get close enough to land more than one shot on you. So low chance to get staggered. If they get bold and decide not to dodge your attacks and go head-on to try to bring you down, use some songbirds to humble them back down. lol. These shotgun and melee build guys get so mad when they cant win every single match in under 15 seconds with stagger-hell 😂 so they usually never want to rematch you and leave the room looking for matches that their builds are effective against only. Eventually, the shotgun builds are going to have to change the more people counter them with quads.
Twin stun gun + Burzel Boosters + Generator with good EN capacity + Ocellis FCS. Hard lock, assault boost and kick to close distance, then stun them to death. Stick very close to opponent and they are helpless. Add coral shield and time block to further make missiles useless. In my PvP Scumbag guide I also have an Anti-Missile missile meta build if you want that.
Omg i think i fought you 😂 the trick here is learn how to dodge the most annoying attack, fly up to get a nice kicky punch in, eventually they run out of en and go down, and then thats you're chance. Its gonna be a hell of a fight and you'll still probably lose but its no fun if you only win 🤷
@@MobiGeeksOutomg this is funny I just got into the AC multiplayer community and was like “what’s the deal with all these missile builds?” Started watching some of your videos and found this old one and got my answer.
gotta disagree with reverse joint light/midweights being meta, heavyweight builds perform much better with Zimmermans. Any close range lightweight build will lose to the same loadout but with the tankiest parts possible 90% of the time. Only reason to run a lightweight is for missile spam or any other long range kiting build. Zimmerman accuracy with the max tracking arms is so absurd that speed doesn't actually do anything in close quarters, unless you have 10ms of ping and insane reflexes you're not qb dodging any of the meta weapons at close range. You'd think speed would at least help with chasing down missile spam/rifle builds but the heaviest biped possible can still run almost everything down with assault boost. Good video though, as frustrating as the build is to fight against lol.
wrong, a light weight can easly avoid zimmerman shots, just learn it's reload once the hevy guy has his first shot out you know when the next is ready so you can play accordingly with high success, the heavy however is naturally easy picking when it comes to getting hit so if you put 2 players of similar skill both zimmermans one light weight one heavy, the heavy will have to be better at timing the shot than the light weight because he has to make up for the lack of dodge potential. basically the heavy needs better aim than the light weight to win while the light weight has to be good at dodging the heavy it's just different playstyle with both their ups and downs.
Or they can just... wait a sec or two after it finishes reloading, catch you after your QB, instant stagger you then one-shot with needles and the match is over. Or stagger both shots, you can't QB forever. You need to QB within .15s of their shot or they'll still hit 90% of the pellets as long as their build is right. The fact that you need to guess when they're going to shoot to actually be able to dodge anything at close range is a perfect example of why lightweights suck at close range.@@davidschulz2636
im glad a rebellion is stirring against zimmermans they make pvp very one dimensional as theres really nothing to do other than get in close get a double pump get out

just use melee boost tech, low EN use for similar speed then keep on their asses and win
