  • Hello friends,
    in this video we are going to discover together this wonderful instrument, with an incredibily sound and a remarkable playability.
    It is an electric bass guitar with a great value for money if we take into consideration the quality of the woods, the finish and above all the electronics, very hot.
    After "unpacked" it like a sweet candy, I tried it in three main configurations:
    1. Slap: Everything in the center
    2. Pizzicato: bridge pick-up, high cut
    3. Pick: neck pick-up, 3/4 tone
    Please, subscribe to the channel and enjoy the video!
    Model: SIRE Marcus Miller V7 Vintage Alder 5st 2nd Generation (AWH - Antique White)

    Absolutely love how you organized this video with each section representing a different style/player. Really great. And just fantastic playing so I can really focus on the tone and not on the usual distraction of players with nasty tones

      Thanks mate, when I test a bass it is very important for me to understand how good pickups works (bridge, neck and in-the-middle) because I mainly use this knob for changing sound style. I pay attention also about the tone knob that let me understand the quality of electronics, this Sire one has a very long course. I'm glad you found it useful, thanx!🔥

    Okay!! I see you Bro'😆 Fat bass sounds absolutely fantastic! And I am digging the hell out of that groove, I'm in my car boppin' my head to that! Great Job!!👊🏾

      Thanx mate⚡this vintage model, the alder one, has a very powerful sound full of low frequencies and overtones. The groovy bass line is inspired by that😅

      Yeah the Ash one is very funky, too. It Is actually a bit lighter in weight but I find the Alder's sound more "vintage"

    Bravo 👏 Simone,hai un gran bel groove!!! Il basso suona davvero bene ma volevo chiederti se avevi provato anche il V7 swamp ash 2 generation. Sono indeciso tra i 2. Grazie

      Ciao Mattia si in effetti l'alder mi ha dato più la sensazione di vintage anche se è leggermente più pesante il body, sono entrambe belle sonorità dipende un po' dallo stile, io da slappatore dico alder. Grazie a te un saluto slapico🔥

    Simone, which strings did the bass come with when you got it? Did you keep the same type then or did you change them? Thanks!

    • @Simonevignola
      @Simonevignola  11 месяцев назад

      Hey, I actually don't know which brand the strings were, but in this video I test the bass as it was when I take it from the box without changing the strings

    What is the fretboard radius on this particular model?

    • @Simonevignola
      @Simonevignola  5 месяцев назад

      It has a 7,25" radius, vintage style... sorry, I guess I missed the comment, keep groovin' mate!⚡️

    Ciao. Sarei indeciso tra un Sire V7 e un fender jazz bass usato ( userei lo strumento prevalentemente per tecnica slap). Accetto consigli. Grazie

    • @Simonevignola
      @Simonevignola  2 года назад +1

      Ciao Carlo, è una scelta molto soggettiva, un buon fender a buon mercato è sempre un'esperienza vincente (sempre che sia Usa), il V7 se vuoi uno strumento nuovo ad un prezzo irreale rispetto alla qualità dello strumento.

    ciao Simone , complimenti sempre. ti posso chiedere un parere spassionato ? rispetto al v10 ,questo v7 come lo trovi? la differenza di prezzo è giustificata? per lo slap meglio questo , il v 10 o il v7 normale? lo so, sono tante domande , ma mi sembri la persona migliore a cui chiedere. grazie in anticipo

    • @Simonevignola
      @Simonevignola  4 года назад +2

      Ciao! La differenza principale è il manico, nulla togliere al V7, comodo, il V10 ha un manico davvero super-smooth, d'altro canto è costruito con legni più particolari e costosi (il frassino di palude, l'acero fiammato). Giustissima la differenza di prezzo da questo punto di vista costruttivo (V10 ha il body con il top). In oltre il V10 è corredato di custodia e battipenna trasparente. Molto simili sull'elettronica, spintissima, in generale strumenti adatti tutti per lo slap.. D'altro canto il loro nome dice tutto.. Parere finale il V10 è superiore da un punto di vista della qualità e della fattura, il V7 imbattibile se ti occorre un basso per fare tutto ad un prezzo shock, meglio il vintage per lo slap. A presto!

    Hey Simone, did you try the Ash V7 Vintage before getting the Alder? Any thoughts on the difference between the two wood options in the same model?

    • @Simonevignola
      @Simonevignola  2 года назад +1

      Ciao John, I think the alder version has a fatter tone even if it's heavier in weight, I guess it can make more sense if you're looking for a vintage sound, keep groovin'🔥

    Sire basses are nice but they're a little expensive than Squier basses, I like Squier basses just as much as I like Sire basses. They are both well made and has an economic price, while you're on a budget I considered both to be options, both of the basses each serves its purpose.

    • @Simonevignola
      @Simonevignola  3 года назад

      Ciao my friend and thanks for the comment😎 Yes I quite agree, in fact for me Sire basses are instruments with a more modern conception. Some models have a slightly higher price justified by a better finish. Then there is the V10 which has no comparison with Squier. Anyway, you're right, they are definitivly instruments have to try⚡

    I have ordred a vintage, 5 string white, look's exactly like yours, but Ash. I found one B-stock at Thomann's. I check tracking everyday to see were it is. When I got it I will make my version of "Airoplan" Yours is just super. My soon seen Davie504 with me, now he saw you, he's said - Is every italian good at playing bass? :-D

    • @Simonevignola
      @Simonevignola  4 года назад +1

      Hey my friend, I'm happy you bought this fantastic instrument, the Ash one is a lighter in weight but sounds great too. The Alder one in my opinion has more natural low frequencies. I always thought some Italian musicians have the "mediterranean groove", something like a funky mood inside😁 I will wait for you version of "Aeroplane"🔥

  • @TheBartostock

    Which is your favorite - this or the V10?

    • @Simonevignola
      @Simonevignola  3 года назад +1

      Hi John, thanks for writing, they are two instruments with different characteristics and also belonging to two different price ranges. They are certainly similar in terms of electronics and pickups. The V10 is uniquely finished, the neck is asymmetrical and has incredible comfort, so I prefer it for playability. But I just love the V7 in terms of sound, maybe it depends on the fact that mine is in alder, but it has a great vintage sound on slap. They are both very versatile. In the end I'm almost always playing with the V7, I've established a greater feeling there.

      Ciao! In verità si mantiene bello dritto, ovvero se la tua paura è che pende dal lato della paletta direi che non ha questo difetto anche perché il body non è un peso piuma.. Io mi ci trovo comodo sia seduto che in piedi 😉
