Wow I thought I just did this groove for funk lounge music well it is nice that you found it! I love it so smooth relaxing & will try it on deep house lounge also!
Liked and subscribed! I'm in my 60's and just got my first set of mini congas! Super excited to learn to play them. Any tips on mini congas would be appreciated! TIA, JR
Just wanted to say thanks a hundred times for every bass tone slap and rest of every rhythm you have sherad with all of us and could you please do bata rythms on 3 c0ngas at 3 different speeds so we can write them down etc also I think it's time 2 put all this great stuff in a book with notation and CD to go with it just the same way you are doing on the net merry Christmas to you and your family and happy lol
Ok this is still killing me brother! I'm getting the first part of your pattern down but, the tones on my drums really suck ! I'm still trying to learn how to tune them with no luck. After listening to your video again during practices, I'm not even close ! Lol Any help on a video strictly dedicated to tuning congas with a tuner might help me ? I still don't have an ear for this. Thanks
Eric, just to be clear. At 10:44, when you start counting - "one" is at the first slap of the pattern or at first tumba note? You count like it should be on first open on tumba drum. Still both ways sound good. Regards!
Thanks for your Instagram reply Eric. I'm intrigued..... I was wondering how Remo synthetics had the Meinl logo on them? is it a collaboration between the two? If it is how do i get hold of them? Are they only available in the US or in Europe, etc? I love my Meinls BUT I just cannot get that clean, crisp slap on my conga/quinto that the synthetics give. Really looking forward to your comparison video. Love the funky pattern and just about mastered the Sheila .E. tumbao. Love & respect.. Blair.
@@blairmacewancrosbie8646 Chris is right... the version I got are Remo SkynDeeps... they do have a FiberSkyn option though. I believe third party vendors sell them as well... I'm still working on the full details on where to acquire them.

Hey Eric listen to the soundtrack for Superfly and tell me what you think of Henry Gibson. Peace
Love your videos man, but it would have benen very cool (and instructional) to hear this applied to an actual music bed. Possible?
Still working on that... RUclips Copyright rules make it harder, but I'm gonna try to make my own tracks.
guess what.. i love it
First? Great vids man!!!

I'm not Eric but I do know that those heads are OEMed by Remo for Meinl. I believe they are Fyberskin.
@@TheGrimjerk Hey Chris, thanks very much for the info. Are they only available through Remo?

Play some songoish or acaballoish variations and fine.
I löööv it!
Is it synced with the 2 and 4 of the snare of the drummer?
Brother Eric, are both Tumbas tuned in the same note or at least close ?
So tasty....mmmmm!
Anyone knows what his necklace is?
I got it from here www.mobetamusic.com
Kind of a dick move to not tell you that the one is on the tumba until the very end ;)
