Several weeks ago, I built a Nekusar deck where my goal was to make sure the word "discard" did not appear in the deck (I called it Memory Overflow for that reason); seeing this video today, I realize there are many more torturous cards and combos for it than I originally thought. This was both informative and very entertaining. Thanks for this!

I’ve been slowing putting a nekusar deck together along with converting my go-shintai of life’s origins into a stax/enchantress deck. This build seems really up my alley thank you for the build
6 copies of each basic land really tie the theme of EVIL together with this one. It's the little things.
Uril, the Miststalker was the first commander I ever built for, back when the format was called EDH. I'm really tempted to build enchantment voltron around him again.
I have never thought of this for Nekusar...I have been using him as a wheel themed deck. This is really a mean deck!
Cool build! I run Nekusar wheels, but I like your idea of embracing the bad guy and running stax to make everyone miserable. Might have to switch it up 😂
If you are saying Counterspell and that we are going non budget it might as well include a Mana Drain instead of Negate. I also think it wouldn't hurt to have a Reliquary tower or swap a mana rock for a Thought vessel or a Commander Sphere. Otherwise... I'm taking this.
I recently made a Tim Tribal deck, hoping to finally give Cuombajj Witches some time in the sun(they enjoyed it!)
Obviously, had to be Grixis then. No pingers that dealt more than 1 damage at a time, except to multiple targets. Fun stuff like Fire Ants, Plague Spitter, and Thrashing Wumpus.
Of course, had to have Curiosity Auras in it, so I landed on Helm of the Ghastlord.
Searching for the right Commander, good ol' Nekusar was sort of the clear choice, though I know most people hate him. Decided to only use him if I'm already losing.
Once, and never again... Helm of the Ghastlord on Nekusar.

Nekusar is a kill on sight commander though, what if it gets permanently targeted by your pod? Isn't relying on your commander TOO much a bit dangerous ? Your 99 should be able to deal with most threats and have other win cons as well just in case that happens

i've had a Nekusar deck for 9 years, i run many of the same cards, I take delight in wheeling for big damage or watching my opponents suddenly realize theres nothing they can do but start their turn and lose the game... and even i, the dirty villain of edh that i am, audibly gasped when i realize you meant to burn them out one card at a time. its the most evil thing i've ever heard of, and im all for it.
