Its been 55 years since my first ride on two wheels that I did not have to pedal ! It was my on grandads Raleigh Runabout that he bought brand new for 90 quid with winnings from the betting shop.
Christmas would not be Christmas without a bit of nostalgia. I started watching your vids when you went on the Croatia 2013 tour, with a blink of an eye tens years flew by. Thanks for the wonderful videos in 2023. A very Merry Christmas to you and yours with best wishes for 2024.
Wow, TEN YEARS! Unbelievable really, Harry. Thank you so much for still being here. Not exactly sure what the future holds for the channel at the moment, but, we’ll take each day as it comes. The scales of effort/result are definitely tipping in the wrong direction for my liking at the moment.
Its funny how getting older makes you think about some of the crazy stuff we did when we were younger. And it just seemed to be something to do back then! That said a 250kg adventure bike may be a little more challenging than a couple of 70cc motocross bikes!!
Great footage Richy , good to visit places from your youth on the bikes especially .👍. Been down that way years ago when my two boys where not in school stayed at Darwin Forest lodge park great place into matlock bath all the time great area . That was 20yrs ago. All the best over Xmas and new year from up here in Scotland .👍👍
Great trip down memory lane. There's a similar quarry near me, where in the mid 80's as a teenager, my cousin and I did our riding in a Honda XR 250. I still ride past the place, but it's funny how some of the massive hills we'd ride up.... don't look that big these days. Perception over time I guess. Thx for my memory trip. 😊 G
Well done on that big heavy V strom, your mate was having a breeze on a far more suitable bike, reminds me of my day's as a kid learning to ride down the farm, took my V strom down some of the same tracks recently , extremely challenging on wet mud & leaves with road tires and im 40 year's older 😂😂😂 i managed it through, just!😂
A former resident of Darley Dale I know these roads well. I have not lived there for over 30 years but so many fond memories of a stunning area just made for bikers. Thanks for sharing.
That takes me back to my dad loading my Raleigh wisp 50 in the back of he's Bedford ca camper van and go in to the Rendlesham woods me with my uncle's old piss pot miles to big great times 😊
Thanks Richy, great to remember the good times gone bye. I also used to ride a Honda C70 aka "plaki" off roading on the fields. They seemed to last for ever and were great fun. I do remember a mate pulling a huge wheelie on his and the whole back end snapped off!!! 🤣 Anyway, have a great Christmas and new year and thanks Mike. 🎅
Bet that was fun mate , reminded me of my youth ripping around on Honda C50s & C70s (or Boggers as we used to call them) we used to ride around the old clay tips in stoke , thanks for sharing Rich 👍🏻
@@RichyVida ah 90's had an XR600r in my days. Bit of a pig. 250 is the best all-round balance. What a great bike. Should do more stuff together. Have a great Christmas
