Hey Rich was this Sunday 29th I took a visit to Matlock Bath it was was packed , same as you I have great memories of my old man taking us there for Fish & Chips then stopping off at Carsington water on the way home , great vlog mate , hope all`s well
Whole heartedly recommend the Roadskins Taranis. I got a pair about a week after they came out. They are my go to, especially when touring. Went to France in them last year in the heatwave (generally around 38-39°c at its peak in the days, 40°c the day we left the uk) and they were brilliant. Especially when off the bike and just wondering around the towns. Only thing I did do was swap out the armour for d30 ghost which is more pliable as I also commute to the office and wear my jeans in work as well.

Great piece of motovlog Richy 👍 The Picos are just a superb place for bikers : the roads are mostly perfect, the people are nice, the prices are not the one needing you to sell a kidney to have a nice hotel or a good restaurant,… Surely not the Dolomites or the Alps, but at least as great to ride 🥰 We went there with my wife and my son because your and Bruce’s vids. Thx again for sharing 🙌
I’m currently riding around Andalucia for several weeks and the roads here in the mountains have very little traffic. Clear blue skies and 20-21 degrees C. Going to 24-25C at the weekend. Perfect biking weather. It’s stunning. All the tourists have gone home.
If you are doing 5 Picos trips next year then you will spend 15 days of your life on the ferry between the UK and Santander. Nice that you will take your VFR again on one of them. I’m going In April for 3-4 weeks. Not only going to ride in the Picos for about a week but make a tour of Spain and possibly Portugal as well. Really looking forward to it. I shall be taking my VFR which is exactly same as yours minus the Staintune exhausts and Power Commander.
Picos was amazing this year book for next year amazing rides and people / new friends loved every minute as for Christmas party Anything would be great Christmas party curry house or pub crawl (drinks) meeting friends old and new is what its all about
But is that 48M at the sensor or at the lens? One may be quoting at the sensor and the other at the lens and there is a big difference between the measures.

You can get excellent quality on a phone now but your right it’s not all down to the pixel count. The way I think of it is the iPhone has 48 pixels and the dslr has 24 but the iPhone pixels are egg cup size whereas the dslr pixels are bucket sized. The end results depend on what you want to do with the images viewing on a screen or printing large scale.

Been living in Australia for 16 years but used to rider around the Derby dales from my fizzy days up until I’d had enough of the UK and it’s shit weather, spent many a Sat or Sun in Matlock but prefer riding all year round in OZ did the toro tour this year for when I retire in Portugal happy days, ride free brother and keep safe 👍👊
@@RichyVida live in Perth mate, 300 days of sunshine ☀️ a year and some great biking roads, just have to be careful of the Roo’s and crazy emus, do around 20,000ks a year, once I get my bike in Portugal next year I will be riding over to the UK to see the family and do some touring, still have mates I catch up with who still have bikes and still ride the Derbyshire loop, Ashby, Ashbourne, clay cross and Matlock route, still a good ride when the weathers good, take care mate keep up the great blogs, love watching them 👍👊

That loud exhaust isn't doing anyone any favours. Its pointless puerile willy waving that tarnishes the public's perception of bikes. That may sound like heresy to some but that pipe was beyond "loud pipes save lives" and was just anti-social.
As for that loud exhaust.. what are the rules in Britain then ? In Switzerland they would would kill you, your bike and all 3 follwing generations of your bloodline.. in Germany they would make you walk.. barefoot throught the winter, in Austria they would mount a monoski on your bike and sink in some glacier lake, in Italy they would most probalbly take your wife as a hostage. Just kidding, but what ARE he laws in Britain for after market exhausts ? In Germany and Austria., the pipe has to be tested and documented to be legally fitted on your bike. So usually, having a copy of that is ok ( except for those stupid small amount of roads in Austria where they test the decibel.. fun fact: the Police ride Multistrada there which are NOT legal within the noise pollution restriction they have ). !
Richy - I think you spend far too much time with only one hand on your bars. As a motor cyclist on the road for 50 years I do get it believe me however with today's crappy roads it'll catch you out one day.

I'm with on the DSLR front camera phones are great but I think DSLRs are still a league above.
Yes. Convenience is fantastic with your phone and if it does a great job, then brilliant. It will always be the dslr for “proper” images, though.
